A full Riff Report blog post 🔥
Grab your laser rifles, strap on your Victorian goggles, and brace yourself, Swansea — because the Martians have booked a return flight to Planet Cymru, and they’re touching down 27 October 2026 at the Swansea Building Society Arena.
And honestly? TIDY.
This is exactly the kind of interplanetary chaos we live for. 🤘😈
Jeff Wayne’s legendary musical adaptation of H.G. Wells’ sci-fi classic is back on the road in October 2026 with a massive UK tour, and it’s bringing the whole arsenal:
💥 Full orchestra
💥 Live band
💥 Stage performers
💥 Holograms
💥 Immersive video
💥 Giant fighting machines that could probably do a better job fixing the Kingsway than the council
This isn’t a gig — it’s a cinematic prog-rock fever dream with lasers. And Swansea is getting the LAST NIGHT of the tour, meaning the aliens will be fully warmed up and absolutely tamping by the time they reach us.
🚀 WHAT’S OCCURRING ON THIS TOUR THEN?
The October 2026 UK invasion route is looking stacked:
- Glasgow 🛸
- Edinburgh 🛸
- Dundee 🛸
- Newcastle 🛸
- York 🛸
- Bradford 🛸
- Oxford 🛸
- Manchester 🛸
- Liverpool 🛸
- Nottingham 🛸
- Wolverhampton 🛸
- Bath 🛸
- London 🛸
- Plymouth 🛸
- SWANSEA — FINAL SHOW, BABYYY 🛸🔥
Only in Wales, mun… the aliens save the best for last.
👽 THE SHOW
If you’ve never seen Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds live, imagine this:
🎶 Massive orchestral hits shaking your ribs
🎤 Iconic narration booming across the arena
🌋 Lighting and smoke blasting like a Martian meltdown
🦾 Towering tripod war machines stomping around as if they’ve lost their parking ticket
🔥 Pyro that leaves your eyebrows reconsidering their life choices
It’s more theatre than gig, more gig than theatre, and somehow also a full sci-fi blockbuster — all at once. Proper job.
🗓️ KEY DATES FOR YOUR DIARY, BUTT!
🎫 Presale: Thursday 27 November, 12pm
🎫 General Onsale: Friday 28 November, 12pm
This will absolutely fly quicker than a panicked Victorian in a waistcoat. Set your alarms, your reminders, your smartwatch alerts — the lot.
🤘 WHY WE’RE HYPED
Because live Martian prog-rock chaos is exactly what autumn 2026 needs.
Because Swansea deserves more huge touring shows.
Because Jeff Wayne + laser-blasting tripods = lush night out.
Because if the Martians really did invade Wales, we’d absolutely try to sell them a pint and a pasty before running for our lives.
🛸 SEE YOU ON THE FRONTLINES, SWANSEA
We’ll be there, notebook in hand, trying not to get vaporised while shouting,
“C’MON BUTT, DROP THE BASS, NOT THE HEAT RAY!”
