American rock heavyweights QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE have officially announced the European leg of their massive Perfecth World Tour, confirming nine concerts across Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Croatia in June 2027.
Fronted by the unmistakable Josh Homme, the California rock legends are preparing to bring their latest musical chapter to European audiences following the release of their ninth studio album, Perfecth.
And if the band’s previous live performances are anything to go by, fans can expect a glorious collision of thunderous guitars, hypnotic rhythms, unpredictable arrangements and seriously infectious rock ‘n’ roll.
The newly announced dates begin in Hannover, Germany, on 13 June 2027, before the band travel through France, Spain and Italy, eventually concluding at Croatia’s spectacular Pula Arena on 30 June.
Joining the band for the European shows will be Dutch multi-instrumentalist ZEP.
But there’s one question already hanging over the announcement.
WHERE ARE THE UK DATES, JOSH?! 🇬🇧🐉
That’s right, despite confirming nine European concerts, Queens Of The Stone Age have yet to announce any UK performances as part of this particular tour leg.
However, with several gaps in the schedule, British fans will undoubtedly be keeping a close eye on future announcements.
And here at The Riff Report, we’re certainly hoping Wales gets a look-in!

💿 ‘Perfecth’ – A Brand-New Chapter For Queens Of The Stone Age
The European announcement follows the release of Perfecth on 30 October 2026 through Matador Records.
The record marks the band’s ninth studio album and follows 2023’s In Times New Roman….
For a group whose musical identity has continually evolved, the new album represents another important creative chapter.
Queens Of The Stone Age have never been particularly interested in repeating themselves.
From their early desert rock foundations to their increasingly experimental studio recordings, the band have consistently explored different musical textures, arrangements and production techniques.
And with Perfecth, Josh Homme and his bandmates continue that tradition.
The album was produced by Josh Homme and Michael Shuman, bringing together two musicians who have played important roles in shaping the group’s modern sound.
🎸 A Band That Refuses To Stand Still
One of the most fascinating things about Queens Of The Stone Age is their willingness to take musical risks.
Their catalogue moves effortlessly between crushing guitar riffs, psychedelic passages, danceable rhythms and moments of unexpected vulnerability.
It’s a combination that has helped them remain one of the most distinctive rock bands of the past three decades.
And their latest album arrives during a particularly interesting period in the group’s history.
Following their ambitious Catacombs performances, the band have been exploring different approaches to presenting their music live.
Rather than simply reproducing familiar arrangements, they have experimented with atmosphere, theatrical presentation and more intimate interpretations of their songs.
That experience appears to have influenced their plans for the upcoming world tour.
🎤 Josh Homme Promises Something Different For The 2027 Tour
Ahead of the album’s release, Josh Homme and bassist Michael Shuman discussed the band’s future live performances during an interview with NME.
Homme explained that the experience of their Catacombs shows had changed the band’s approach to performing.
He suggested that the group were preparing something more ambitious than their previous productions, drawing inspiration from theatrical performance and stagecraft.
And while he deliberately avoided revealing too many details, the message was clear.
Queens Of The Stone Age aren’t planning to deliver a routine rock concert.
For longtime fans, that’s an intriguing prospect.
The band have always balanced musical precision with a slightly unpredictable stage presence.
Homme’s distinctive guitar playing, commanding vocals and often unpredictable interaction with audiences have become central features of their concerts.
Add the group’s enormous back catalogue and the possibility of a more theatrical presentation, and the 2027 shows could offer something genuinely different.
🌵 From The California Desert To International Rock Stardom
Queens Of The Stone Age were formed in 1996 by Josh Homme following his departure from influential desert rock band Kyuss.
The project quickly developed into something far bigger than its original beginnings.
Drawing inspiration from hard rock, punk, psychedelia, alternative music and the distinctive sounds of the Palm Desert scene, Homme created a band with an instantly recognisable musical identity.
Their self-titled debut album arrived in 1998, introducing audiences to their hypnotic guitar riffs and unconventional songwriting.
But it was the albums that followed which transformed the group into international stars.
Rated R (2000)
Their second studio album demonstrated a growing willingness to experiment.
Featuring tracks such as ‘Feel Good Hit Of The Summer’ and ‘The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret’, the record introduced a broader audience to the band’s unusual mixture of heavy guitars and alternative rock.
Songs For The Deaf (2002)
Arguably their most celebrated release, Songs For The Deaf remains one of the defining rock albums of the early 2000s.
Featuring contributions from Dave Grohl on drums and Nick Oliveri on bass, the album delivered an extraordinary collection of songs.
Highlights include:
- ‘No One Knows’
- ‘Go With The Flow’
- ‘First It Giveth’
- ‘Song For The Dead’
- ‘The Sky Is Fallin’’
The album’s fictional radio-station concept, relentless rhythms and enormous guitar sound helped establish Queens Of The Stone Age as one of the most exciting bands of their generation.
Lullabies To Paralyze (2005)
The band’s fourth studio album introduced darker musical textures and increasingly adventurous arrangements.
Songs such as ‘Little Sister’, ‘Burn The Witch’ and ‘In My Head’ demonstrated their ability to combine unusual songwriting with memorable hooks.
Era Vulgaris (2007)
An experimental and frequently abrasive record, Era Vulgaris pushed the band’s sound into stranger territory.
Featuring ‘Sick, Sick, Sick’, ‘3’s & 7’s’ and ‘Make It Wit Chu’, the album remains a favourite among listeners who appreciate the group’s more unconventional side.
…Like Clockwork (2013)
Widely regarded as one of the band’s finest achievements, …Like Clockwork introduced a more emotionally reflective approach.
Songs such as ‘I Sat By The Ocean’, ‘My God Is The Sun’ and ‘I Appear Missing’ demonstrated the group’s musical maturity.
Villains (2017)
Produced by Mark Ronson, Villains embraced a more rhythmically driven sound.
Featuring ‘The Way You Used To Do’ and ‘The Evil Has Landed’, the record explored new musical territory while retaining the band’s distinctive guitar identity.
In Times New Roman… (2023)
Their eighth studio album marked another chapter in the band’s evolution.
With tracks including ‘Emotion Sickness’, ‘Carnavoyeur’ and ‘Paper Machete’, the record combined raw guitar sounds with increasingly personal songwriting.
And now, with Perfecth, the story continues.
🎸 Who Are The Members Of Queens Of The Stone Age?
The band’s established modern line-up features:
- Josh Homme – lead vocals and guitar
- Troy Van Leeuwen – guitar, keyboards and backing vocals
- Michael Shuman – bass guitar and backing vocals
- Dean Fertita – keyboards, guitar and backing vocals
- Jon Theodore – drums
Together, these musicians have helped develop Queens Of The Stone Age into one of the most formidable live rock acts of their generation.
Homme remains the group’s principal creative force, but the band’s modern sound is built around the chemistry between all five musicians.
From Van Leeuwen’s atmospheric guitar work to Theodore’s powerful drumming, every member contributes to the group’s distinctive identity.
🎶 What Songs Could Queens Of The Stone Age Play In 2027?
Although official setlists have not been announced, the band have an extraordinary catalogue to draw upon.
Fans will undoubtedly be hoping for classics such as:
- ‘No One Knows’
- ‘Go With The Flow’
- ‘Song For The Dead’
- ‘Little Sister’
- ‘Make It Wit Chu’
- ‘My God Is The Sun’
- ‘I Sat By The Ocean’
- ‘The Way You Used To Do’
- ‘The Evil Has Landed’
- ‘Sick, Sick, Sick’
- ‘3’s & 7’s’
- ‘Smooth Sailing’
- ‘If I Had A Tail’
- ‘Emotion Sickness’
- ‘Paper Machete’
Naturally, songs from Perfecth are also expected to feature prominently.
And given Homme’s comments about the band’s future live performances, fans may experience some familiar material presented in unexpected ways.
One thing is certain.
When Queens Of The Stone Age launch into ‘Song For The Dead’, things tend to get wonderfully loud! 🤘🔥
🎸 Special Guest ZEP Joins The European Tour
Supporting Queens Of The Stone Age on the newly announced European dates will be ZEP, a Dutch multi-instrumentalist.
His addition provides audiences with an opportunity to discover another artist before the headline performances.
It’s a fitting choice for a band that has frequently shared stages with musicians from different corners of the alternative rock scene.
Further details about individual show timings and running orders will be available through the relevant venues.
🌍 The Perfecth World Tour Is Already Going Global
The European announcement follows confirmation of an extensive North American tour.
Queens Of The Stone Age will begin their US headline run on 1 May 2027 at Viejas Arena in San Diego, before travelling through major cities including Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Chicago and Detroit.
The American leg concludes on 24 May at TD Garden in Boston.
And the special guests are rather impressive.
PIXIES will join Queens Of The Stone Age for the US performances, alongside WHEELCHAIR SPORTS CAMP.
That combination brings together two hugely influential names from alternative rock.
Pixies helped reshape the sound of guitar music during the late 1980s and early 1990s, influencing countless artists who followed.
Their distinctive mixture of quiet passages, explosive choruses and unconventional songwriting remains enormously influential.
The wider world tour also includes international performances across Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.
It’s an ambitious touring schedule for a band entering its fourth decade.
🇬🇧 Where Are The UK Dates?
Now here’s the question British fans are asking.
WHEN ARE QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE COMING BACK TO BRITAIN?
At the time of the announcement, no UK concerts have been confirmed for the European leg of the Perfecth World Tour.
However, the schedule contains several gaps that have already prompted speculation about possible festival appearances.
The band’s June itinerary leaves room around some major British summer music events.
But it’s important to stress that no appearance at Download Festival, Glastonbury or any other UK festival has been officially confirmed as part of this announcement.
Until the band or event organisers make an announcement, those possibilities remain speculation.
Nevertheless, British fans have good reason to keep watching the band’s official channels.
Queens Of The Stone Age have a longstanding relationship with UK audiences, and their previous festival performances have helped establish them as a major attraction.
🐉 Could Queens Of The Stone Age Finally Bring The Perfecth Tour To Wales?
Right then, Josh.
HOW ABOUT A LITTLE TRIP TO CYMRU? 🐉🎸
Here at The Riff Report, we’d absolutely love to see Queens Of The Stone Age announce a Welsh concert.
Cardiff would certainly be an exciting destination for the band’s return.
And with Wales boasting a passionate alternative rock community, there would be plenty of enthusiasm for a performance.
The band have previously appeared at major UK festivals, introducing their distinctive sound to enormous audiences.
A Welsh headline show would provide an opportunity for local fans to experience their music without travelling across the border.
For now, though, no Welsh date has been announced.
We’ll be keeping an eye on future developments.
Come on, Josh. Bring those desert riffs to the land of dragons! 🐉🔥
🐉 The Riff Report Says…
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE ARE BACK WITH A BRAND-NEW ALBUM, A MASSIVE WORLD TOUR AND SOME SERIOUSLY INTERESTING PLANS FOR THEIR LIVE SHOWS! 🤘🔥
There are plenty of rock bands capable of delivering a great concert.
But relatively few possess the distinctive musical identity of Queens Of The Stone Age.
Josh Homme and his bandmates have spent three decades creating music that refuses to fit neatly into any particular category.
Their songs can be heavy, hypnotic, experimental, melodic, unsettling and irresistibly catchy.
Sometimes all within the same track.
And that’s precisely what makes them so exciting.
The newly announced European tour promises to bring their latest album to audiences across five countries, with nine concerts scheduled throughout June 2027.
From Germany and France to Spain, Italy and Croatia, the itinerary features some spectacular locations.
And with Homme hinting at a more ambitious live presentation, there’s every reason for fans to be curious about what the band have planned.
Of course, we’re still waiting for those all-important British dates.
And we’d certainly welcome a Welsh performance.
But until further announcements arrive, European fans have plenty to celebrate.
NINE SHOWS. FIVE COUNTRIES. ONE OF THE MOST DISTINCTIVE ROCK BANDS ON THE PLANET.
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE ARE READY TO MAKE SUMMER 2027 VERY, VERY LOUD! 🎸🔥🤘
Keep it loud. Keep it heavy. Keep supporting live music.
