Listen now: Lead Single โGrowing Rootsโ ๐ฑ๐ค
Bristolโs own Elles Bailey โ the smoky-voiced blues-Americana powerhouse โ is back with a bang! Sheโs announced her brand-new album Canโt Take My Story Away, landing 16 January 2026 via Cooking Vinyl & Outlaw Music, and to sweeten the deal sheโs dropped the lush lead single โGrowing Roots.โ
Hit play, let that husky tone wash over you, and suddenly it feels like the candles just lit themselves and the whiskyโs poured. Proper job. ๐ค๐ฅ
The New Single: โGrowing Rootsโ ๐ฟ
The first taste of the new record is everything we love about Elles:
โจ Warm organ tones
โจ Rolling grooves with a slow-burn swagger
โจ Lyrics about resilience and finding your place
Itโs a tune that feels like sunlight sneaking through the kitchen window after a stormy night. Emotional without going soft, grounded but soaring โ lush, mun. This could well be one of her most personal eras yet. ๐

About the Album ๐ถ
- Title: Canโt Take My Story Away
- Release Date: 16 January 2026
- Label: Cooking Vinyl / Outlaw Music
- What to Expect: A fresh chapter in the studio with new collaborators, but still the beloved live band on tour bringing those big heart-punching moments to the stage.
This one feels like a record about standing firm, weathering storms, and planting yourself where you belong. Cโmon butt โ thatโs gonna hit deep. ๐
Why You Should Care (AKA: The Riff Report Rant) ๐ค
Elles Bailey isnโt just another name on the Americana circuit โ sheโs one of those artists who can shut up a noisy bar just by opening her mouth. Whether itโs a sweaty club in Bristol or a festival field, her voice cuts straight to the bone.
โGrowing Rootsโ proves sheโs still levelling up โ soul, grit, and hooks big enough to drag Glastonburyโs Pyramid Stage into the Avon Gorge.
Final Thoughts ๐ธ
This new era is shaping up to be Elles Baileyโs most powerful yet โ bigger songs, deeper stories, and that unmistakable voice doing what it does best.
See you in March, pint in hand, lungs ready for the big sing-along. And if youโre in Bristol? Warm up now โ that gig is going to feel like a community choir at closing time.
Diolch, Elles. Youโre growing roots, and weโre here for it. ๐ฑ๐ค
