Right.
Who gave England permission to announce this many gigs?
Because the calendar is becoming absolutely ridiculous. ๐ค๐ฅ
Welcome to The Riff Report England Gigs & Tours Tracker โ our rolling guide to rock, metal, punk, alternative, indie and generally guitar-shaped mayhem happening across England.
We’re talking:
Spiritbox. I Prevail. Papa Roach. Korn. Enter Shikari. Shinedown. The Pretty Reckless. Placebo. Royal Blood. The Darkness. Electric Callboy. Five Finger Death Punch. Megadeth. Weezer. Black Veil Brides. Manic Street Preachers. Suede.
And that barely gets us started.
From enormous arena shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham to legendary rooms in Nottingham, Leeds, Bristol, Newcastle, Southampton, Wolverhampton and beyond, England’s live calendar is already looking dangerous for anyone trying to maintain a sensible bank balance.
This is a living gig tracker, covering major confirmed rock, metal and alternative dates currently on our radar. Grassroots shows and new tour announcements appear constantly, so expect this beast to keep growing.
Right.
Open the calendar. Warn the bank account.
Let’s go.

Birmingham gets two nights because apparently one wasn’t enough.

๐ Roundhouse โ London
Indie-rock energy, pop-punk attitude and one of London’s best-loved venues.
๐ธ From Monday 28 September
Don Broco โ Nightmare Tripping Tour
Don Broco begin another UK run stretching into October.
If you’ve seen Don Broco live before, you’ll already know that describing one of their crowds as “energetic” is like describing Motรถrhead as “a little noisy”.

October is where things become properly silly.
๐ Friday 9 October
Fear Factory
๐ The 1865 โ Southampton
Industrial metal pioneers Fear Factory bring the Cybernetic Domination Tour to Southampton.

Fancy seeing a rock band containing hundreds of musicians playing simultaneously?
Of course you do.

Someone somewhere is definitely turning an amplifier up to eleven.
๐ธ October
The Reytons
South Yorkshire’s own DIY success story heads around the country during October, including a monster headline show at Alexandra Palace.
From independent releases to Ally Pally.
That’s how you bloody do it.
๐ Friday 30 October
Manic Street Preachers + Suede

Manic Street Preachers + Suede

Wednesday 11 November
๐ Motorpoint Arena โ Nottingham
Thursday 12 November

Friday 13 November
๐ Motorpoint Arena โ Nottingham
Sunday 15 November
๐ Connexin Live โ Hull
Thursday 19 November

๐ Alexandra Palace โ London
Saturday 21 November
๐ Alexandra Palace โ London

๐ธ Royal Blood
Tuesday 24 November

โจ The Darkness
Saturday 12 December
๐ Utilita Arena โ Birmingham
Tuesday 15 December
๐ Brighton Centre โ Brighton
Wednesday 16 December
๐ The O2 โ London
Big riffs.
Big choruses.
Ridiculous falsetto.
Probably several costumes that would cause problems going through airport security.
The Darkness at Christmas just feels right.
๐ค 2027 โ England Is Already Looking Ridiculous
You know how January is supposed to be quiet?
Apparently nobody told the touring industry.
โ๏ธ January 2027

Stop.
Read that again.
Saturday 16 January
๐ AO Arena โ Manchester

Emo fringe owners assemble.
๐ฅ March 2027

Monday 17 May
๐ First Direct Arena โ Leeds
Friday 21 May

Weezer and Taking Back Sunday together is basically someone turning a 2000s alternative-rock playlist into an arena tour.
We’re not complaining.
โ๏ธ June 2027
๐ค DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2027
๐ Donington Park โ Derbyshire
๐
June 2027
The sacred ground calls again.
Donington.
Camping chairs.
Questionable breakfasts.
Band shirts.
Dust.
Mud.
The smell of somebody cooking bacon at 7am.
And enough riffs to shake the East Midlands.
Download Festival returns to Donington in June 2027, with camping activity beginning from 9 June and the main festival weekend running around the traditional mid-June slot.
For rock and metal fans, Donington remains pilgrimage territory.
See you in the village.
Probably carrying a crate.
๐๏ธ England’s Rock & Metal Map Is Massive
One thing becomes obvious when you look through the calendar:
This isn’t just London.
Yes, London gets an absurd number of tours.
But England’s rock and metal circuit stretches everywhere.
We’ve got major shows happening in:
- London
- Manchester
- Birmingham
- Nottingham
- Leeds
- Newcastle
- Bristol
- Southampton
- Bournemouth
- Brighton
- Wolverhampton
- Hull
- Derbyshire
- And plenty more
Some nights involve 20,000 people inside an arena.
Others involve 200 people inside a room with a ceiling approximately six inches above the drummer’s head.
Both matter.
๐บ Support The Grassroots
As always, The Riff Report will shout about the enormous tours.
They’re massive.
They’re exciting.
They’re spectacular.
But England’s grassroots circuit is where rock music actually breathes.
Venues such as Rock City, Thekla, The 1865, The Joiners, O2 Academy venues, independent clubs, pubs and hundreds of smaller rooms provide the stages where tomorrow’s festival bands are learning how to become terrifyingly good.
Go and see the band you’ve never heard of.
Watch the support act.
Buy the shirt.
Buy physical music.
Grab a pint if you fancy one.
Tell your mates.
Post about them.
That little bit of support matters far more than people sometimes realise.
๐ฃ Got An English Gig We’ve Missed?
This page is designed to grow.
Tours are announced constantly and grassroots calendars can change virtually every day.
So if you’re a:
- Band
- Artist
- Venue
- Promoter
- PR company
- Record label
- Festival organiser
- Photographer
- Or an eagle-eyed gig addict
โฆand you’ve spotted an English rock, metal, punk or alternative show that belongs here, give The Riff Report a shout.
Unsigned and grassroots bands are especially welcome.
You don’t need an arena.
You don’t need pyro.
You don’t need 500,000 Spotify listeners.
If you’re making good noise, we’re interested.
โ ๏ธ Check Before Travelling
As always, gig information can change.
Dates move.
Venues change.
Support acts disappear.
Extra dates get announced.
Tours occasionally get postponed.
Always check with the official artist, promoter, ticket provider or venue before booking expensive travel or setting off.
Because arriving in Manchester with three mates, a hotel reservation and no gig would be what professionals call:
A bit of a bugger.
๐ค England Is Going To Be Loud
From Spiritbox kicking off autumn 2026 to Megadeth steamrolling through March and Download returning to Donington next summer, the English rock and metal calendar is absolutely stacked.
And we’re nowhere near finished yet.
More tours will come.
More bands will announce dates.
More festivals will drop line-ups.
More support acts will suddenly make an already good ticket completely irresistible.
And naturallyโฆ
We’ll probably buy far too many tickets.
Again.
So gather the gig crew.
Check the trains.
Charge the phone.
Pack the earplugs.
Protect the bank balance as best you can.
And we’ll see you down the front.
KEEP LIVE MUSIC LOUD. ๐ค๐ฅ
The Riff Report
Rock. Metal. Festivals. Gigs. Chaos.
Proudly independent. Proudly Welsh. Always loud. ๐
