Live from Cardiff, with a pint in one hand and “Wonderwall” stuck in our heads since 1995
Oasis have landed. In Cardiff. And it’s happening.
The return of the kings is no longer a rumour in a pub — it’s real, it’s loud, and it’s echoing off the Principality Stadium like the valleys are about to explode. 😍
After months of speculation, cryptic tweets, tabloid tantrums and Liam swearing at clouds, Oasis are BACK on stage — and they’re kicking things off in Cardiff, where the fans are already half-cut and fully buzzing. 🍻🔥
🎛️ SOUND CHECK? MORE LIKE SOUND WRECK 💥
As the sun dipped behind the stadium, the air started shaking with the unmistakable opening riff of “Cigarettes & Alcohol”. Was it a DJ? Was it a tribute act? Nope — it was the real deal, coming straight from the speakers inside the stadium. Cue fans sprinting from every bar within a mile radius. 🏃♂️💨
Word on the street is:
🗣️ “We were in Tiny Rebel and heard Liam shout ‘Sound as f**!’ over the mic – nearly dropped my pint, mun!”* – Rhys, 36, Roath
They ran through “Morning Glory,” “Columbia,” and what might’ve been the “Champagne Supernova” solo — though to be fair, someone was also playing Oasis off a speaker in the Greggs queue, so things got a bit confused.
Still — it’s happening.
They’re inside.
They’re tuned up.
And they’re sounding MASSIVE. 🤯
🎟️ CARDIFF IS READY FOR A RIOT (OF THE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL KIND) 🥁
Let’s not pretend Cardiff doesn’t love a good singalong, but tonight’s energy is next level. It’s football final + rugby Six Nations + Oasis reunion in a blender – and the crowd is pure liquid lightning ⚡
Every pub from City Arms to O’Neill’s is blasting Oasis tracks like a religious ritual. Bucket hats, Union Jacks, Parka jackets in 20° heat, and enough Adidas stripes to carpet the Millennium Walk. It’s not just a gig – it’s a cultural moment. 😎
“If I hear ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ one more time I might cry. Again.” – Bethan, 29, cried five times already and it’s only 6pm.
🎸 THE SETLIST RUMOURS – WHAT’S OCCURRING?
🧐 So what’s the band got in store for us tonight?
Nothing confirmed, but some VERY loud whispers from the soundcheck suggest the classics are getting the love they deserve. Rumoured tracks:
- “Rock ’n’ Roll Star” (obviously)
- “Supersonic”
- “Morning Glory”
- “Live Forever”
- “Slide Away”
- “Wonderwall” (Yes, you will cry)
- “Champagne Supernova” (Bring tissues, mun)
- And a cheeky Beady Eye or High Flying Birds number? 👀
Who knows? They might even drop “Acquiesce” just to make us all lose our minds in perfect unison.
🧻 THE OASIS COMEBACK – BETTER THAN A GREGGS SAUSAGE ROLL AFTER A NIGHT OUT
Let’s be honest – most of us had given up hope. We thought we’d see an alien invasion or Noel complimenting Liam before we saw Oasis live in 2025.
But here we are.
Cardiff. Night one. A mountain of sound.
It’s not just a gig — it’s a generational thunderclap.
Even the rain’s held off (for now), which in Welsh terms is a miracle worthy of sainthood. 🌤️
The only thing louder than the crowd tonight? The sound of a million people belting “Tonight, I’m a rock ‘n’ roll star” in perfect chaos.

FINAL THOUGHT…
If you’ve got a ticket: You lucky, lucky thing. Go wild.
If you’re outside listening in: You’re still part of history.
And if you’re not in Cardiff tonight?
Well…
Don’t look back in anger, butt — just get to the next one. 😎
