A thunderous farewell to the godfather of metal is coming to the big screen — and it’s going to melt your face off.
⚫ “I’m going f***in’ nowhere… except the cinema.” – Ozzy, probably.
Well, here we are. The end of an era — but make it loud. Mercury Studios has dropped a monster announcement: Back To The Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow, a feature-length concert film capturing Ozzy Osbourne’s final live performance, is coming to cinemas in early 2026.
Filmed on July 5th, 2025 at Birmingham’s Villa Park — the spiritual home of the bat-chomping legend — this isn’t just a film, mun. It’s a flipping rite of passage. 🤘
🎤 A FAREWELL FIT FOR THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS
You know those “once in a lifetime” gigs everyone bangs on about? This was it. Villa Park became ground zero for a generational metal meltdown, celebrating five decades of darkness, distortion, and devil horns.
Fans from every continent (and possibly a few hell dimensions) descended on Brum to witness the mighty OZZY in his final act — joined by a pantheon of rock royalty. And now, it’s your turn to experience it all again in glorious 100-minute cinematic chaos.
What do we call this?
A gig? A documentary?
Nah, butt. This is a f***ing epic. 🔥
🎸 THE SETLIST TO END ALL SETLISTS
This wasn’t just a stroll down memory lane. It was a sonic assault of biblical proportions. Here’s a little teaser of what to expect in the film:
- ⚔️ War Pigs – because starting soft is for pop stars
- 🧲 Iron Man – the riff that built a genre
- 👼 Children of the Grave – spine-tingling in any era
- 😈 Paranoid – the closer that’ll blow the cinema doors off
Every note oozes legacy. Every scream from the crowd? Worship. Every second of footage? Immortal.
And yes, there’s exclusive backstage gold: Ozzy hugging his bandmates, wiping away tears, probably forgetting which camera he’s supposed to wave at — you know, the stuff that makes him Ozzy. 🖤
🎥 NOT JUST A CONCERT – A METAL LOVE LETTER
Back To The Beginning isn’t your average tour film. It’s a deeply personal farewell. It captures the soul of a man who turned pain into poetry, who turned Sabbath into scripture, and who gave the finger to Father Time by still sounding like a chainsaw at 76.
It’s raw. It’s real. It’s emotional.
Behind the scenes, Ozzy reflects on the journey — the highs, the hospital visits, the hits, the heartbreaks, and the absolute batshit brilliance of it all. Expect interviews, backstage banter, and a proper tearjerker or two.
You might walk in throwing horns…
You’ll walk out hugging your mates and calling your mum.
🏠 BORN IN BIRMINGHAM, BOWING OUT IN BRUM
Could it have ended anywhere else?
No chance. Ozzy’s story started in the industrial streets of Aston. It was forged in factory smoke and Sabbath riffs. Birmingham gave the world heavy metal, and now it’s where it says goodbye.
The concert — and the film — is a love letter to the city, to the scene, and to every fan who’s ever scrawled the logo on a schoolbook or shouted “SHARON!” into the abyss. 🙃
And now, cinemas around the world get a taste of that Birmingham magic. Popcorn with a side of power chords? Yes please.
🕶️ EARLY 2026 – GET READY FOR A METAL CINEMA TAKEOVER
No dates confirmed yet, but The Riff Report will be first in line to drop the listings, exclusive merch reveals, and maybe even a bat-shaped cinema cup (we’re not joking — we’re demanding it). 🦇🥤
Grab your mates. Dust off your Sabbath tee. Book the aisle seat so you can headbang without decapitating the person next to you. This is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime event.
🎧 WILL IT BE LOUD?
Louder than a chainsaw solo at 3AM.
🖤 WILL IT BE EMOTIONAL?
Like hugging your dad after a pint and saying, “Thanks for the riffs, old man.”
🎟️ WILL YOU BE THERE?
You bloody well better be.
FINAL THOUGHTS?
This isn’t just a film. It’s the end of a legend’s road, captured forever in 4K and sealed with a scream. For every fan who’s ever shouted along to Crazy Train or mimicked Ozzy’s wobble, Back To The Beginning is your chance to say thank you. Loudly.
From the bottom of our black little hearts:
Diolch, Ozzy.
You changed our lives, mun. 🎤
🦇 Stay tuned to The Riff Report for everything Ozzy, cinema release dates, bat merch, and loud tales from the Villa Park farewell.
