The Announcement That Got Us All Shouting “YESS MUN!” 🎤
Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams has never been one to sit back and collect dust on his record sales. Nah, this fella keeps coming back swinging, and now he’s hit us with the news of a brand-new studio album called Roll With The Punches. And tidy, that’s a title that couldn’t be more Adams if it tried – resilient, cheeky, and built for blasting on the M4 when you’re running late for work.
But wait, it gets spicier – alongside the announcement, Adams dropped a new video that features none other than Elizabeth Hurley. Yes, Liz Hurley of Bedazzled, Austin Powers, and iconic safety-pin-dress fame. If you didn’t expect this crossover, don’t worry – none of us did either. And yet, somehow, it works. She brings glam, he brings grit, and together they’ve made something lush.
Why Roll With The Punches Is The Perfect Adams Album Title 🥊
If there’s one thing Bryan Adams has proven over four decades in rock, it’s that he doesn’t stay down for long. The man’s had chart-topping highs (Reckless, Waking Up The Neighbours), the occasional slump (On A Day Like Today didn’t quite land), and plenty of comebacks. The title Roll With The Punches isn’t just catchy – it’s the story of his whole career.
Adams has weathered changes in the music industry (remember when MTV was king?), fought off being labelled a “ballad merchant,” and kept touring like a machine. In the era of streaming and TikTok trends, he’s still packing out arenas and writing tunes that get stuck in your head like chewing gum on your Doc Martens.
A Career That’s More Than Just Summer of ’69 🌞
Let’s be honest – Bryan Adams will never escape Summer of ’69. It’s the track that made him immortal. But to reduce his career to just one nostalgia-dripping anthem is like saying Iron Maiden only ever wrote Run To The Hills.
Here’s the Riff Report rundown of Adams’ biggest eras:
- The Reckless Era (1984–1986): Run To You, Heaven, It’s Only Love (with Tina Turner 🤘). Stadium-filling, leather-jacket-wearing peak Adams.
- The Robin Hood Ballad (1991): Everything I Do (I Do It For You). Eleven weeks at UK Number 1 – still unbeaten. A ballad so big it made metalheads accidentally cry into their pints.
- The Super-Collab Years (1990s): With Sting & Rod Stewart (All For Love), with Mel C (When You’re Gone). Adams always had a knack for finding unlikely partners.
- The Photographer Rocker (2000s): Touring hard, snapping celebs with his Leica, and keeping the fire alive while other 80s heroes faded.
- The Evergreen Adams (2010s–2020s): Get Up, Shine A Light, and now Roll With The Punches. Always evolving, never out of the game.
So when Liz Hurley shows up in 2025, it’s just another curveball in a career full of them.
Liz Hurley x Bryan Adams: The Crossover We Never Saw Coming 💋
Right, let’s talk about the video. Adams is no stranger to teaming up with big names, but Hurley’s cameo took fans by surprise. She struts in with her trademark mix of posh charm and smouldering looks, and suddenly the video goes from “classic rock single” to “glam rock soap opera.”
It’s not just a gimmick either – Hurley’s presence fits the track’s theme of resilience and style. She’s survived decades in the entertainment jungle herself, so pairing her with Adams feels cheekily perfect. She’s the knockout punch to his rolling rhythm.
Fans have already flooded social media with hot takes:
- “Didn’t have Bryan Adams x Elizabeth Hurley on my 2025 bingo card.”
- “My mum and I both screamed – for different reasons.”
- “This is the most British-Canadian crossover since maple syrup on crumpets.”
The Sound Of The New Record 🎶
While the full tracklist hasn’t dropped yet, we’ve had some hints. Adams says the record is about “taking life’s knocks and still finding the joy to get back up and keep swinging.” Expect a mix of stadium anthems, love-torn ballads, and maybe even a cheeky blues number.
If past Adams records are anything to go by, we’ll get:
- One instant radio smash (think Run To You style).
- One tear-jerker ballad (grab the tissues, mun).
- One experimental track (remember when he dabbled with electronic beats on Shine A Light?).
- Plenty of gritty guitar riffs that make you want to air-punch in your kitchen.
The production, from what we’ve heard so far, is crisp, modern, but with that timeless Adams rasp. At 65, his voice is still as recognisable as ever – gravelly, powerful, and tailor-made for belting choruses.
Adams In 2025: Still Relevant, Still Rolling 🤘
Here’s the thing – Bryan Adams could’ve retired years ago and still been a legend. But he didn’t. Instead, he’s still touring, still recording, and now, still surprising us.
- Tour Rumours: Whispers suggest a world tour to back Roll With The Punches, possibly hitting the UK in late 2025. Imagine Liz Hurley popping up on stage? Stranger things have happened.
- Fanbase: His crowds span generations – parents who grew up with Reckless, and younger fans who discovered him via Spotify or their mum’s car CDs.
- Cultural Staying Power: Whether it’s Robin Hood soundtracks, fashion photography, or Hurley videos, Adams knows how to stay in the conversation.
He’s not just rolling with the punches – he’s dishing them out.
The Riff Report Verdict 🏴🎸
So, what’s occurring? Here’s our take:
- Roll With The Punches could be one of Bryan Adams’ strongest late-career albums.
- The Liz Hurley video is a masterstroke – cheeky, stylish, and guaranteed to get headlines.
- Adams is proving that rock doesn’t have an expiry date.
In a world of AI pop hits and TikTok trends, it’s lush to see a proper rock star keeping things raw, fun, and unpredictable.
Final Thoughts: Rolling With Him, Butt? 🥊
