Saturday at Plumpton Revival 2026 is where the weekend properly kicks into gear, butt. 🤘🌼
Friday gave the campers a chance to pitch the tent, locate the bar and discover that sleeping on an air bed is considerably less comfortable than the bloke in Go Outdoors promised.
But Saturday 8th August?
Now we’re talking.
Plumpton Racecourse comes alive with live bands, tribute acts, acoustic performances, comedy, circus entertainment, cinema and enough glorious throwback festival energy to make you wonder whether somebody has accidentally driven a VW camper van through a portal back to 1970. 😂✌️
So grab the shades, fill the water bottle and prepare those dancing shoes.
Here’s The Riff Report’s full look at Saturday at Plumpton Revival 2026!
🌼 SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST 2026
📍 Plumpton Racecourse, East Sussex
Saturday is the first full festival day, with entertainment spread across the site throughout the afternoon and evening.
And unlike Friday’s camper-only warm-up, this is where the full Plumpton experience comes roaring into life.
🎸 Live music
🎤 Tribute acts
🎶 Acoustic performances
😂 Comedy
🎪 Circus
🎬 Cinema
🌼 Loads of retro festival madness
Basically, if you can’t find something to watch, you’ve probably accidentally wandered back to the campsite.
🎸 THE MAIN STAGE
This is where some of Saturday’s biggest musical action takes place.
🎤 THE BOOTLEG BEATLES
You can’t throw a celebration of the 1960s without somebody yelling:
“YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!”
And The Bootleg Beatles have spent decades recreating the music and atmosphere of the Fab Four.
Expect Beatles classics, harmonies, nostalgia and one enormous Plumpton singalong.
From the early mop-top years through to the psychedelic madness that followed, this should fit the whole Plumpton Revival atmosphere beautifully.
Get those vocal cords warmed up. 🍏🎸
🎸 WHO’S NEXT
Next up we’ve got a tribute to one of the most explosive live bands Britain ever produced.
Who’s Next bring the music of The Who to Plumpton.
And considering The Who actually played the historic National Jazz and Blues Festival at Plumpton back in the day, this one feels particularly appropriate.
Expect huge rock anthems, windmill guitar action and hopefully considerably fewer smashed instruments than the real thing.
Those things aren’t cheap anymore, mun. 😂🎸
⚡ LETZ ZEP
If you’re going to celebrate classic British rock, you aren’t getting very far without Led Zeppelin.
Enter Letz Zep.
They’ve built a formidable reputation recreating Zeppelin’s enormous catalogue live.
Expect riffs.
Expect blues.
Expect enormous vocals.
And expect at least one person in the crowd to close their eyes during a guitar solo and temporarily believe they’ve travelled back to 1973.
Understandable behaviour. 🤘🔥
🎶 MORE LIVE MUSIC ACROSS PLUMPTON
The joy of Plumpton Revival is that the main stage isn’t the whole story.
There’s music popping up around the site, meaning Saturday is one of those festival days where wandering around with absolutely no plan could result in discovering something brilliant.
And frankly, that’s half the fun.
🌼 THE ACOUSTIC STAGE
Need five minutes away from enormous amplifiers?
The Acoustic Stage offers something slightly more chilled.
Expect stripped-back performances, singer-songwriters and intimate sets providing a completely different atmosphere to the larger stages.
It’s also an excellent opportunity to sit down.
Never underestimate sitting down at a festival.
By Saturday afternoon, finding an empty chair can feel like winning the lottery. 😂
😂 THE COMEDY STAGE
Yes — Plumpton isn’t just about guitars.
The Comedy Stage brings stand-up into the mix throughout Saturday.
Which means you can spend one minute throwing devil horns at a rock band and the next sitting in a tent watching a comedian take the absolute piss out of festival camping.
Probably.
There’s certainly plenty of material.
Festival toilets alone could sustain a comedian’s career for approximately six years.
🎪 PLUMPTON CIRCUS
The circus continues throughout Saturday with performers bringing another layer of glorious weirdness to proceedings.
Expect traditional circus entertainment, visual performances, magic and plenty of moments that make you stop mid-walk and go:
“Hang on… what are they doing?!”
Exactly what festivals need.
More weirdness.
Always more weirdness. 😈🎪
🎬 FESTIVAL CINEMA
Need a breather?
Head towards the Festival Cinema.
Plumpton’s cinema programme taps directly into the event’s obsession with music history and nostalgia, giving festival-goers somewhere to enjoy classic footage and films between bands.
And given Plumpton’s extraordinary musical history, there’s plenty to celebrate.
🕰️ WHY PLUMPTON’S HISTORY MATTERS
This isn’t just a random modern festival using some retro artwork and chucking peace signs everywhere.
Plumpton Racecourse has genuine British festival history running through the grass.
During the late 1960s and early 1970s, the National Jazz and Blues Festival took place here.
And the names associated with those historic weekends are ridiculous.
🎸 Pink Floyd
🎸 The Who
🎸 Deep Purple
🎸 Black Sabbath
🎸 Fleetwood Mac
🎸 Yes
🎸 Ginger Baker’s Air Force
…and plenty more.
Imagine walking around Plumpton today knowing some of the biggest names in rock history once played on the same ground.
That’s bloody cool.
⏰ SATURDAY SET TIMES
One important warning before you start building the military-grade spreadsheet required for modern festival planning:
Make sure you check Plumpton Revival’s official on-site running-order boards for the latest Saturday performance times.
Festival schedules can change, and clashes are an inevitable part of the experience.
Our advice?
Pick the acts you absolutely refuse to miss, then leave a few gaps for wandering around.
Sometimes the band you’ve never heard of playing to 80 people becomes the set you spend the next six months banging on about.
That’s festivals.
🤘 THE RIFF REPORT SATURDAY SURVIVAL PLAN
Saturday is a marathon, not a sprint.
Well…
Unless your mate texts:
“BAND STARTS IN TWO MINUTES.”
Then it’s absolutely a sprint. 😂
Our plan would be:
🍳 Morning: Recover from Friday.
☕ Late morning: Coffee. Possibly another coffee.
🎸 Afternoon: Explore the smaller stages and entertainment.
🍔 Food: Acquire something enormous and questionably structural.
🎪 Late afternoon: Circus/comedy detour.
🔥 Evening: Classic rock tribute madness.
🍺 Night: Beer, music and increasingly ambitious claims that you’re “definitely staying until everything finishes”.
🌦️ FESTIVAL WEATHER RULES APPLY
This is Britain.
Therefore pack for:
☀️ Sunshine
🌧️ Rain
💨 Wind
🔥 Heat
🥶 Cold
🌈 All of the above within approximately seventeen minutes.
Sunscreen and waterproofs.
The ultimate British festival double act.
🎸 THE RIFF REPORT SATURDAY PICKS
If classic rock is your thing, Saturday should be an absolute playground.
🔥 Letz Zep — because Zeppelin riffs booming across a festival field are never a bad idea.
🎸 Who’s Next — a particularly fitting tribute given The Who’s genuine connection with Plumpton’s festival history.
🍏 The Bootleg Beatles — potentially one of the biggest mass singalongs of the entire weekend.
But don’t spend the entire day glued to one area.
Go exploring.
Watch something weird.
Catch an acoustic act you’ve never heard of.
Walk into the comedy tent.
Get distracted by the circus.
That’s exactly what a festival like Plumpton should be about.
🌼 FROM 1969 TO 2026…
There’s something genuinely lovely about the idea behind Plumpton Revival.
British festival culture has changed beyond recognition since the original National Jazz and Blues Festival rolled into Sussex.
The equipment is bigger.
The production is better.
The toilets are…
Well.
Actually, let’s not make any promises about festival toilets. 😂
But the fundamental idea hasn’t changed.
People gathering in a field because they bloody love music.
That’s what mattered decades ago.
And that’s what matters now.
🎪🔥 THE RIFF REPORT VERDICT
Saturday is the day Plumpton Revival 2026 properly comes alive.
The campsite is awake.
The stages are running.
The guitars are plugged in.
The circus is causing chaos.
The comedians are cracking jokes.
Somebody is wearing flares that could comfortably accommodate a family of four.
And somewhere around Plumpton Racecourse, a guitar riff is floating across ground once walked by some of the greatest musicians Britain has ever produced.
That’s pretty special.
So explore everything.
Support the performers.
Talk to strangers.
Discover bands.
Dance badly.
Sing loudly.
And for one weekend, embrace the glorious idea that maybe the spirit of those legendary old Plumpton festivals never really disappeared.
It was just waiting for someone to turn the amps back on.
🌼 Peace. Love. Riffs.
🎸 Welcome to Saturday at Plumpton Revival 2026.
Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. See you in the field! 🤘🔥🎪
