Sunday at Plumpton Revival 2026 has arrived โ and nobody is allowed to start talking about packing the tent away yet. ๐โบ
After a full weekend of peace signs, blues riffs, psychedelic nostalgia, circus madness and enough retro clothing to make Plumpton Racecourse look like somebody accidentally reopened 1970, weโve reached the final full day of the Revival.
And Sunday 9th August isnโt quietly slipping out of the back door either.
Ohhhhh no.
Weโve got Think Floyd closing the Main Stage, Whoโs Next, The Milk Men, Laurence Jones, Gary Cain, a full Second Stage programme, festival cinema and an evening Comedy Tent headlined by none other than Basil Brush.
Yes.
Basil. Bloody. Brush.
BOOM BOOM! ๐๐ฅ
Get the coffee down you, locate whatever remains of your festival legs and prepare for one last massive day.
Here is The Riff Reportโs full guide to Sunday at Plumpton Revival 2026!
๐ผ SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST 2026
๐ Plumpton Racecourse, East Sussex
Sundayโs published programme gives us action across:
๐ธ Main Stage
๐ฅ Second Stage
๐ Comedy Tent
๐ฌ Festival Cinema
Plus all the additional circus, retro and immersive entertainment scattered around Plumpton Revival.
And weโve got the actual running order.
So screenshot it.
Bookmark it.
Tattoo it onto your mate if necessary.
Here we go!
๐ธ๐ฅ MAIN STAGE
Sundayโs Main Stage is absolutely dripping with blues-rock, psychedelic sounds and classic festival nostalgia.
๐ธ 12:15โ13:15 โ LEWIS HENRY FLOYD
Sunday gets underway with Lewis Henry Floyd, described as a one-man psychedelic blues-rock machine.
Thatโs a fairly spectacular way of announcing yourself before most of us have even finished the first coffee.
Expect blues, psychedelic flavours, raw guitar work and plenty of attitude to wake Plumpton up.
Sunday has officially started.
๐ฅ 13:45โ14:30 โ HOT PROPERTY
Next up weโve got Hot Property.
Young rock โnโ rollers bringing vintage swagger to a festival literally built around celebrating the golden age of British rock?
Thatโs a tidy booking.
Expect youthful energy mixed with old-school rock โnโ roll spirit.
Get down early and support the next generation keeping guitar music alive. ๐ค
๐ธ 15:00โ16:00 โ GARY CAIN
Canadian guitarist Gary Cain takes over at 3pm.
And now things could get seriously tasty.
Cainโs reputation is built around fiery guitar playing that stretches blues into rock, funk and plenty more besides.
Festival field.
Big amplifier.
Ridiculously talented guitarist.
You know the drill.
Get near the front.
๐ฅ 16:30โ17:30 โ LAURENCE JONES
Hereโs another one for the guitar lovers.
Laurence Jones hits the Main Stage at 4:30pm.
The multi-award-winning British blues-rock guitarist has spent years building a reputation as one of the countryโs most exciting modern blues players.
Expect riffs.
Expect solos.
Expect someone approximately three rows from the front to stare at the fretboard for the entire performance trying to work out how the hell heโs doing it.
๐๐ธ
๐ฏ 18:00โ19:00 โ WHOโS NEXT
This one feels particularly special.
Whoโs Next bring the music of The Who roaring back across Plumpton Racecourse.
Why does that matter?
Because The Who themselves played this very festival site during its original legendary era.
Thereโs something wonderfully full-circle about hearing those songs blasting across Plumpton again decades later.
Expect enormous anthems, explosive rock โnโ roll energy and plenty of windmill guitar action.
Just donโt smash the guitar afterwards.
Have you seen the price of them these days?! ๐
๐ฅ๐ฅ 19:30โ20:30 โ THE MILK MEN
At 7:30pm, itโs time for The Milk Men.
With multiple UK Blues Award nominations behind them, these boys know exactly how to deliver blues-rock with hooks, groove and proper live energy.
By this point Sunday should be absolutely flying.
Grab something cold.
Find your mates.
Get yourself back towards the Main Stage.
Because weโve only got one more act after thisโฆ
๐๐ฅ 21:00โ22:00 โ THINK FLOYD โ SUNDAY HEADLINERS
And what better way could there possibly be to finish Plumpton Revival?
Think Floyd.
Pink Floydโs music.
At Plumpton Racecourse.
Thatโs history coming around for another lap.
Pink Floyd played at Plumpton during the original festival era, and decades later their music returns to the racecourse through one of Britainโs best-established Pink Floyd tribute acts.
Expect the atmosphere to change completely when darkness falls.
The psychedelic sounds.
The lights.
Those enormous Floyd compositions floating across the Sussex countryside.
Songs associated with albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here are practically built for moments like this.
Close your eyes for a second and imagine hearing those sounds drifting across the same racecourse where British rock history was being made more than half a century ago.
Thatโs goosebumps territory, mun.
๐๐ธ๐ฅ
Think Floyd โ 21:00โ22:00
Sunday headliners.
Festival closers.
Donโt miss it.
๐ฅ SECOND STAGE
And donโt make the mistake of spending the entire day glued to the Main Stage.
Because Sundayโs Second Stage is absolutely rammed.
โฐ FULL SECOND STAGE RUNNING ORDER
๐ธ 12:00โ12:30 โ Jam Session
๐ธ 13:00โ13:30 โ R.A.D
๐ฅ 14:00โ15:00 โ Lee Ainsleyโs Blues Storm
๐ธ 15:30โ16:30 โ Conor Hughes
๐ค 17:00โ18:00 โ Samuel Ashton & The Instincts
๐ฅ 18:30โ19:30 โ Burning Rope
โก 20:00โ21:00 โ Lewis Floyd Henry Experience
Thatโs seven performances across the day and a cracking alternative programme if you fancy exploring beyond the Main Stage.
๐ธ 12:00โ12:30 โ JAM SESSION
Sunday starts with an old-fashioned Jam Session.
No enormous production.
No messing around.
Just musicians getting together and seeing what happens.
Blues and rock were built on this stuff.
Grab a coffee and start Sunday properly.
โก 13:00โ13:30 โ R.A.D
At 1pm, R.A.D take over for a half-hour set before the Second Stage starts stretching into longer performances.
If youโre wandering the site around lunchtime, stick your head in.
Festival discoveries often happen completely by accident.
๐ฉ๏ธ 14:00โ15:00 โ LEE AINSLEYโS BLUES STORM
Now that is a name that sounds like it should come with a Met Office warning.
**LEE AINSLEYโS BLUES STORM IS APPROACHING PLUMPTON.
EXPECT HEAVY RIFFS WITH OCCASIONAL THUNDER.**
๐โก
Theyโve got an hour to bring the grit, groove and blues thunder.
๐ธ 15:30โ16:30 โ CONOR HUGHES
Bristol-born guitarist Conor Hughes follows at 3:30pm, bringing soul, jazz influences and R&B into Sundayโs increasingly varied Second Stage programme.
Exactly the sort of set where you wander over intending to watch ten minutesโฆ
โฆthen suddenly realise youโve been there for the whole hour.
๐ค 17:00โ18:00 โ SAMUEL ASHTON & THE INSTINCTS
Things get soulful at 5pm with Samuel Ashton & The Instincts.
Classic R&B warmth and a soulful vocal sound should provide a cracking change of pace before Sunday evening starts getting considerably louder.
๐ฅ 18:30โ19:30 โ BURNING ROPE
Burning Rope arrive at 6:30pm with blues-rock and progressive firepower.
This is exactly the sort of band The Riff Report would recommend catching if your musical requirements basically amount to:
โDoes it have guitars?โ
Yes?
Lovely.
Weโre there. ๐ค
โก 20:00โ21:00 โ LEWIS FLOYD HENRY EXPERIENCE
And Lewis isnโt finished after opening the Main Stage.
At 8pm, the Lewis Floyd Henry Experience closes Sundayโs Second Stage programme.
Expect Hendrix spirit, psychedelic guitar fireworks and one final enormous blast before everyone heads towards Think Floyd for the festival finale.
That makes this potentially one of Sundayโs best stage-to-stage combinations:
โก 20:00 โ Lewis Floyd Henry Experience
thenโฆ
๐ 21:00 โ Think Floyd
Psychedelic heaven.
๐๐ฅ COMEDY TENT
Need to give your neck a break?
Sundayโs Comedy Tent starts with festival cinema before turning into a full evening of comedy, magic and absolute nonsense.
Which sounds perfect.
๐ฌ 12:00โ18:00 โ FESTIVAL CINEMA
The tent begins the day as the Festival Cinema, showing footage celebrating the legendary festival culture of the โ60s and โ70s.
Itโs also an excellent opportunity to sit down.
Never underestimate the importance of sitting down on festival Sunday.
By this point, an available chair can look more valuable than a winning lottery ticket.
๐ SUNDAY COMEDY RUNNING ORDER
๐ค 18:00 โ Craig Campbell โ Host
๐ฉ 18:10โ18:30 โ Azaria & Luke M&D Show โ Magic and Danger
๐ 18:30โ18:50 โ Matt Gifford
๐ค 18:50โ19:00 โ Martyn Bonner
๐ 19:00โ19:10 โ Craig Campbell
โ๏ธ 19:10โ19:30 โ Irish
๐ 19:30โ20:00 โ Tony Law
๐ฆ๐ฅ 20:00โ21:00 โ Basil Brush Adult Show
Yep.
You read that final one correctly.
๐ฆ๐ฅ 20:00โ21:00 โ BASIL BRUSH ADULT SHOW
What a gloriously bizarre festival booking.
The legendary Basil Brush headlines Sundayโs Comedy Tent with an adult show.
Forget Pink Floyd.
Forget The Who.
Forget Black Sabbath.
Plumptonโs most dangerous booking might actually be a fox.
๐๐ฆ
If youโve only ever known Basil from childrenโs television, seeing what happens when the famous fox is unleashed on an adult festival audience could be absolutely priceless.
BOOM BOOM!
๐ช AND THEREโS STILL MOREโฆ
Remember, Plumpton Revival isnโt simply a collection of stages.
The entire site has been designed around celebrating the culture and atmosphere of the late โ60s and early โ70s.
Across Sunday you can also expect the wider festival experience including:
๐ช Circus entertainment
๐ฅ Fire and magic performances
๐คน Jugglers and performers
๐จ Face and body art
๐น๏ธ Retro gaming
๐ก Retro funfair attractions
๐๏ธ Vintage and artisan stalls
๐ Food
๐บ Real ale and cider
๐บ Funk, soul, Motown and disco
๐ฌ Festival cinema
๐ผ Walkabout performers
Basically, wandering between stages is half the adventure.
โ ๏ธ SUNDAY CLASH WATCH!
Now we get to the painful bit.
Festival clashes.
There are a few decisions to make.
๐ฅ Laurence Jones 16:30โ17:30 overlaps with Conor Hughes 15:30โ16:30 right at the changeover.
๐ธ Whoโs Next 18:00โ19:00 overlaps with the start of Burning Rope 18:30โ19:30.
๐ฅ The Milk Men 19:30โ20:30 overlap with Tony Law 19:30โ20:00 and the beginning of Basil Brush at 20:00.
And the big oneโฆ
โก Lewis Floyd Henry Experience โ 20:00โ21:00
๐ฆ Basil Brush Adult Show โ 20:00โ21:00
Both finish just asโฆ
๐ Think Floyd โ 21:00โ22:00
begins.
Choices, choices.
This is why festival schedules cause arguments. ๐
๐ค๐ฅ THE RIFF REPORT SUNDAY GAME PLAN
If we were attacking Sunday, hereโs how weโd do it.
โ Morning: Coffee. Bacon. Regret nothing.
๐ธ 12:00: Wander into the Jam Session.
๐ฅ 12:15: Lewis Henry Floyd on the Main Stage.
๐ธ 13:45: Hot Property.
๐ฉ๏ธ 14:00: Catch some Lee Ainsleyโs Blues Storm.
๐ธ 15:00: Gary Cain.
๐ฅ 16:30: Laurence Jones.
๐ฏ 18:00: Whoโs Next.
๐ฅ 19:30: The Milk Men.
โก 20:00: Lewis Floyd Henry Experience โ or Basil Brush if youโre feeling particularly chaotic.
๐ 21:00: THINK FLOYD.
Then stand there afterwards refusing to accept that the weekend is over.
Standard procedure.
๐ผ FROM PINK FLOYD TO THINK FLOYD
Thereโs something genuinely special about Sundayโs finale.
Plumpton Racecourse isnโt pretending to have musical history.
It actually has it.
The original National Jazz, Blues & Pop Festival brought some astonishing musicians to this patch of Sussex during 1969 and 1970.
Pink Floyd.
The Who.
Black Sabbath.
Deep Purple.
Yes.
Peter Green.
King Crimson.
And many more.
Those names werenโt necessarily the untouchable legends we think of today.
Some were bands still becoming legends.
And thatโs what makes Plumpton fascinating.
Youโre standing on ground where a huge part of British festival culture was still figuring itself out.
๐ธ๐ฅ THE RIFF REPORT VERDICT
Sunday is a belter.
Youโve got contemporary blues.
Youโve got psychedelic rock.
Youโve got young bands.
Youโve got veteran performers.
Youโve got tributes celebrating artists directly connected with Plumptonโs extraordinary history.
Youโve got comedy.
Youโve got circus performers.
Youโve got festival cinema.
Youโve got Basil Brush doing an adult show, because apparently reality has peaked.
๐๐ฆ
And then at 9pm, everyone gets one final opportunity to gather around the Main Stage.
Think Floyd take over.
The lights go down.
The music goes up.
And Pink Floydโs songs once again drift across Plumpton Racecourse.
More than half a century separates the original festival from this Revival.
Different bands.
Different audience.
Different world.
But ultimately, the reason everyone came here hasnโt changed.
Music.
Community.
Discovery.
A field full of people who simply bloody love live music.
And maybe thatโs the best tribute Plumpton could possibly give its past.
Not trying to recreate 1969 exactly.
But remembering what made it special.
๐ผ Peace.
โค๏ธ Love.
๐ธ Riffs.
๐บ Questionable camping decisions.
๐ฆ And apparently Basil Brush.
Sunday at Plumpton Revival 2026 โ letโs finish this thing LOUD! ๐ค๐ฅ
Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. See you in the field!
