Welcome to the side of Glastonbury most of us only see through TikTok, drone footage, or the bitter envy of our rain-soaked souls in the general camping zone. This isn’t just glamping—this is ultra-premium, gold-plated, rub-it-in-your-face festival royalty. We’re diving headfirst into the £29,000 tipi setup, complete with helipad, private pool, chef-made meals, and celebs who wouldn’t know what a wellie is if it slapped them with a glowstick.

Strap in, c’mon butt – it’s about to get ridiculously posh. 🛩️💦🎸

🏕️ The Myth, The Legend: What Is a £29K Tipi?

At first glance, calling this setup a “tipi” feels like calling Buckingham Palace “a decent Airbnb”. It’s a boutique festival palace, and its price tag reflects that. For just under £30K, you get a canvas-covered wonderland that makes even Soho House look like a Travelodge.

Here’s what’s included:

  • Luxury four-poster bed with Egyptian cotton sheets
  • En-suite bathroom with marble fittings, rainfall shower, and actual fluffy towels
  • On-call private chef ready to whip up your wildest breakfast fantasies
  • Temperature control, soundproofing, and sometimes even a hot tub or plunge pool
  • 24/7 concierge, fresh flowers, mood lighting, charging stations, and – of course – champagne on tap

This isn’t camping. It’s Coachella for billionaires, parked on a Somerset field.

✨ Who Actually Stays Here?

So who does drop a cool £29K for a tent at Glastonbury?

Well…

🎤 A-listers – Think Coldplay’s crew, models, pop stars, actors trying to be “normal” for the weekend.
📸 Influencers – Some of them blag it for free in exchange for sponsored posts (we see you 👀).
💼 Execs and mega-rich ravers – Usually folks who love the festival vibe, but not the festival smell.
🥂 Hen dos from Chelsea – The kind who order champagne by the case and think mosh pits are a new kind of workout.

Rumour has it that Gwyneth Paltrow once had her own tipi scented with her Goop candles (probably smells like moon rocks and tax avoidance). Brad Pitt allegedly dropped in via helicopter once. Honestly, it’s like Glastonbury meets The Crown.

🏝️ Camp Kerala: The Crown Jewel of Posh Glasto

The ultimate boujee glamping experience at Glastonbury lives within the legendary confines of Camp Kerala – a high-end retreat so elite, your wristband might as well be made of diamonds.

Here’s what makes Camp Kerala the five-star hotel of festival grounds:

  • Private access to the festival arena (no crawling through 3 miles of mud)
  • Helipad for chopper arrivals – because cars are just so pedestrian, darling
  • Spa and wellness treatments on tap – reiki, facials, massages, you name it
  • Personal stylist services – forgot your sequinned jacket? Sorted.
  • Nightly DJ sets inside the camp just for guests – think Ibiza in a field

And if you fancy a dip? Some of the VIP tipis come with plunge pools or jacuzzi tubs – at Glasto. Meanwhile, the rest of us are bathing in wet wipes and prayers.

🧻 Toilet Talk: A Tale of Two Festivals

Ah yes. The true test of status at any festival: the bogs.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Feature£29K TipiNormal Tent
Bathroom AccessEn-suite with flush toilet, shower, vanity mirror and posh soaps 🛁Portaloo of nightmares with a broken lock and no loo roll 💩
ShowersRainfall shower with towels, robe, and mood lighting 🚿Cold communal trickle behind a damp curtain 🧼
Smells like…Lavender, lemongrass, and money 🌸Despair, cider vom, and tragedy 😷

Honestly, if you’re in general camping, it’s a race against time before the toilets become no-go zones. In the luxury tipi world, they’re cleaned hourly, smell like a spa, and may even play ambient forest sounds.

🍽️ What’s on the Menu?

Let’s get one thing straight: nobody’s cooking beans on a camping stove in these tipis.

The food experience here is Michelin-star-meets-raver-heaven, including:

  • Full English breakfasts with sourdough toast and handmade sausages
  • Vegan feasts with jackfruit tacos, rainbow quinoa, and edible flowers (obviously)
  • Wood-fired pizzas, truffle risotto, sushi platters, and fresh oysters
  • Champagne bars, cocktail waiters, and espresso martinis on command
  • Late-night “room service” – because what’s a festival without 3am halloumi fries?

Meanwhile, us mere mortals are half-cut, queueing for a £14 wrap and eating crisps in a puddle. 😂

🛏️ Sleep Like a Rock God

When the bands stop and the rave glow dims, most of us head back to a collapsed tent, a deflated airbed, and a stranger snoring next to us because someone nicked our mate’s spot.

But in a £29K tipi? You get:

🛏️ Memory foam mattress with goose-down duvet
🌙 Blackout curtains and ambient lighting
🎧 Noise-cancelling walls so your neighbour’s terrible playlist doesn’t ruin your REM
🔥 Heating and cooling systems – no more sweating or shivering

Add in a lavender pillow mist, and it’s basically a spa retreat with basslines.

🚁 The Arrival: Skip the Queue, Board the Chopper

For the ultra-rich Glasto-goer, the worst part of the festival – getting there – just isn’t a problem. While we’re stuck on the M4 in a traffic jam so long it gets a name, these legends fly in.

Yes, heli-transfers are real. You can book a helicopter directly from London (or wherever you keep your mansion), touch down beside your tipi, and be sipping champagne before most people have set up their tent pegs.

It’s the most extra entrance imaginable. And let’s be honest… kinda iconic. 💁‍♂️

👗 Festival Fashion: Posh Edition

The tipi gang do not mess about with style. We’re talking:

  • Designer wellies (Chanel or Hunter only, darling)
  • Sequinned co-ords that cost more than your whole weekend budget
  • Personal stylists & hairdressers on-site for emergency glitter touch-ups
  • Rent-a-look wardrobe options – perfect for 5 outfits a day

And yes, there’s usually a mirror taller than you in every luxury tent. Because content is king 👑

🧘 Wellness & Recharging (While You’re Still Buzzing)

The £29K tipi experience isn’t just about the party—it’s also about recovery and wellness, because nothing says balance like doing yoga while Metallica soundchecks nearby.

Inside these VIP areas, you’ll find:

  • Yoga tents with eucalyptus diffusers
  • Massage tables staffed by actual professionals
  • Crystal healing zones (yes, seriously)
  • Silent meditation pods (not to be confused with the hungover snoring zones in general camping)

Meanwhile, you’re in general camping trying to stretch in a puddle and avoid stepping on a rogue can of Strongbow. 🍻

🎸 Watching the Show: Front Row Without the Fuss

The best thing about Glastonbury isn’t the tipi or the cocktails – it’s the music. So how do these lucky buggers enjoy the bands?

  • Private escorted routes to the main stages
  • Reserved viewing platforms with perfect views and drinks service
  • Backstage hangs if you’re properly connected
  • Or just watching from your tipi via livestream on a flatscreen TV (yes, some come with that too)

Imagine watching Elton John’s farewell while sipping bubbly on a beanbag in your silk robe. Only at Glasto.

📸 Social Media Goldmine

The content practically posts itself:

📸 “Rise & Shine in the Tipi Life” selfie with the bed untouched
🎥 “POV: You spent £29K on Glasto and didn’t touch mud once”
🍸 Boomerang of you cheersing in the pool
🎶 TikTok tour of your luxury setup with Beyoncé in the background

Meanwhile, we’re posting “day 3 no shower” memes and hoping someone brought deodorant.

🧾 But Is It Actually Worth It?

Let’s get real. £29,000 is an obscene amount of money for a tent, no matter how nice it is.

But for some people?

✅ No queues
✅ No mud
✅ No stress
✅ And all the glam of Coachella, with the soul of Glastonbury

If you’ve got the cash, the clout, or the influencer deal of dreams, maybe it is worth it.

For the rest of us? Nah. But it’s bloody fun to dream, innit?

🎤 Final Thoughts from the Muddy Masses

The £29K tipi might be the ultimate in festival flexing, but it doesn’t mean the real Glasto magic lives there.

You’ll still find it in the fields:

✨ When a random stranger hands you glitter
🎶 When you lose your voice screaming along to your fave tune
🌧️ When you dance in the rain with a cider and not a care in the world

Because no matter how fancy your digs, the true heart of Glasto is always in the chaos, the music, and the mad beautiful mess of it all.

But if anyone out there fancies sponsoring our upgrade to Camp Kerala next year, hit us up. We’ll bring the inflatable unicorn. 🦄

See you in the mud, legends. Or in the pool, if we win the lottery.
