One of the biggest rock โnโ roll musicals currently tearing up the theatre world is heading straight for Wales, as JUST FOR ONE DAY: The Live Aid Musical arrives at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff from Tuesday 20 April to Saturday 24 April 2027.

And this isnโt simply another jukebox musical chucking famous songs together and hoping everyone sings along.
This is the story of Live Aid.
And what a bloody story it is.
๐ THE DAY MUSIC TRIED TO CHANGE THE WORLD
On 13 July 1985, the music world basically decided normal service could wait.
Live Aid brought together an extraordinary collection of artists for simultaneous concerts at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia, raising money for famine relief in Ethiopia.
Organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, the event became one of the defining moments in popular music history.
Millions watched around the world.
Legends walked onto those stages.
And then a certain bloke called Freddie Mercury sat down at a pianoโฆ

Queenโs performance at Wembley has gone down as one of the greatest live performances in rock history.
Freddie commanding an entire stadium during Radio Ga Ga remains one of those goosebump-inducing moments that gets replayed endlessly four decades later.
But Live Aid was much bigger than one band.
The bill included a ridiculous collection of musical royalty, and JUST FOR ONE DAY brings that world back to life on stage.

JUST FOR ONE DAY has already enjoyed successful runs in London and received an Olivier Award nomination, and in 2027 the production is hitting the road for its first major UK and Ireland tour.
The tour begins in Leicester before rolling into Wales.
And Cardiff gets five days of the madness.
Tuesday 20 April โ Saturday 24 April 2027.
That means Welsh audiences wonโt need to trek all the way to London, spend approximately seventeen million quid on a hotel and remortgage the house for a pint near the West End.
