Sunday, June 15 | Donington Park | The Final Blowout
The final day of Download 2025 pulls no punches. After two days of mayhem, you’d think it’d slow down—but nah, Sunday says “hold my pint” and smashes through with titanic headliners, technical wizardry, and circle pits that’ll shake the Earth. Here’s your full breakdown of what to expect, who to see, and where to lose your voice one last time.
🔱 Apex Stage – The Closing Chapter
Download’s main stage finishes with an absolute monster of a lineup—packed with power, rage, and metal majesty.
- 11:00 – Orbit Culture
Hailing from Sweden, these melodic death/thrash lads are one of the scene’s most exciting newcomers. Their brutal yet melodic sound is perfect for a morning wake-up mosh. - 12:00 – Bleed From Within
Scotland’s groove-metal heroes bring pit-ready energy and towering breakdowns. Their 2022 album Shrine cemented them as rising festival titans. - 13:10 – Power Trip
Back with a vengeance! After frontman Riley Gale’s tragic passing in 2020, the band returns to honour his legacy with raw, furious thrash. Expect walls of death and emotion. - 14:25 – Jinjer
Ukraine’s genre-bending juggernaut. Frontwoman Tatiana Shmayluk’s vocal range—angelic to demonic in one breath—is something you must witness live. - 15:40 – Meshuggah
If you like your metal complex, heavy, and utterly mind-shattering, this is your moment. These Swedish gods are the architects of modern djent. Stand still if you dare. - 17:00 – Spiritbox
Canadian atmospheric metalcore with deep emotion and ethereal brutality. Courtney LaPlante’s vocals will give you chills. Their 2021 debut Eternal Blue became an instant classic. - 19:00 – Bullet For My Valentine
Welsh royalty returns! Expect hits like Tears Don’t Fall and Your Betrayal, but also modern metal bangers. Great for one last crowd-surf. - 21:25 – Korn
The nu-metal pioneers close the whole shebang. Bagpipes? Check. Bass drops? Check. Decades of dark groove and cathartic chaos? Oh yes. This is the perfect closing act for 2025.
🎤 Top Tip: Stay front and centre for “Freak on a Leash”—the singalong will echo into the hills.
🎭 Opus Stage – Wild Cards & Rock Royalty
Perfect for switching gears and soaking in unique styles, this stage offers everything from nostalgia to sheer sonic terror.
- 11:45 – Municipal Waste
Party thrash with hardcore punk energy. Think: beer cans flying, riffs slamming, and lyrics about radioactive pizza. - 13:15 – Alien Ant Farm
Yes, that band! They’ll bring the hits (Movies, Smooth Criminal) and some surprise depth with their underrated alt-rock catalogue. - 14:45 – Jerry Cantrell
The Alice in Chains co-founder serves grunge gold and bluesy solo work. For fans of deep cuts, harmonies, and emotional weight. - 16:15 – Lorna Shore
If you don’t know them, prepare for your jaw to hit the mud. Deathcore has never been so orchestral, epic, and monstrous. To the Hellfire live? Pure devastation. - 17:35 – Airbourne
Aussie rock’n’roll mayhem. Like AC/DC on Red Bull. Expect beer-spraying, crowd-surfing, and riffs that melt your sunglasses. - 19:35 – Steel Panther
Glam metal parody meets musical mastery. Come for the spandex, stay for the solos. Warning: Not for the easily offended—but definitely for the easily entertained.
🎩 Top Tip: Steel Panther’s crowd banter is legendary. You will leave with a story.
⚡ Avalanche Stage – Underground to Overground
A sanctuary for rising stars, scene favourites, and future headliners. This year, it’s stacked with:
- Nothing More – High-concept hard rock with theatrical flair and soaring hooks.
- Seven Hours After Violet – Up-and-comers mixing post-hardcore vibes with lush emo textures.
- The Southern River Band – Bluesy, down-home Aussie rock with a classic swagger.
👀 Tip: Wander over during set breaks—some of Download’s future main-stagers cut their teeth here first.
🦷 Dogtooth Stage – For the Brave and the Bold
Dark, aggressive, and daring. Dogtooth is where you go when you want to be wrecked in the best way.
- Sikth
One of the UK’s prog-metal pioneers, reuniting to unleash technical mayhem and wild time signatures. - Whitechapel
Tennessee deathcore crew with massive stage presence and brutal vocal mastery. - Fit For An Autopsy
Atmospheric, sludgy, and crushing. They blend deathcore with emotion and storytelling. - Unprocessed
German prog-metal fusionists—djenty, jazzy, funky, weird… and awesome. - Vowws
Australian duo fusing darkwave, industrial, and goth-pop for a beautifully eerie set. - Cattle Decapitation (Cancelled)
Originally listed, but pulled out. Still, their absence leaves room for hidden gems to shine!
🧨 Tip: Bring earplugs and an open mind. Dogtooth is where new obsessions are born.
🌙 The Doghouse, The Den & The Outpost – Final Night Vibes
As the main stages wind down, the hidden corners of Download light up:
- Amira Elfeky, Harpy, LØLØ, Novelists, Arrows in Action, President, and more are closing the festival on a more intimate, experimental, or just straight-up chaotic note.
Perfect for one last pint, one last bop, one last sweaty singalong.
🎯 Final Day Hacks & Highlights
🧠 Plan Wisely – Korn vs Steel Panther vs Sikth vs Fit For An Autopsy… clashes are real. Prioritise and pace yourself.
🥤 Hydration Reminder – Sunday heat + three days of beer = risky business. Water is your best mate.
📸 Take Photos – That one moment in the pit during Blind by Korn or the breakdown in Circle With Me by Spiritbox? Snap it or lose it!
🛍️ Merch Alert – Vendors often discount on the last day. Get those tees, patches, and pins before the exodus.
🤘 Final Words:
Sunday at Download is not a cool-down—it’s the climax. From mathematical metal madness to nostalgic singalongs, from tear-jerking grunge to air-guitar glam, it’s the day when everything converges in a glorious sonic storm.
Download 2025 ends not with a whisper, but with a mighty roar.
🐲 See you in the pit, legends. Iechyd da, and long live rock ‘n’ roll!
