Sunday – Main Stage – 4:50pm

As Sunday afternoon edged ever closer to the grand finale of Steelhouse Festival 2026, one of melodic rock’s most enduring names walked onto the Main Stage to a hero’s welcome.

For many gathered beneath the breathtaking Brecon Beacons, Tyketto weren’t simply another band on the bill.

They were a soundtrack to decades of memories.

From the opening notes, the American rock veterans reminded everyone why they’ve remained one of the most respected melodic hard rock bands in the world.

Packed with soaring choruses, unforgettable hooks and world-class musicianship, Tyketto transformed the Welsh mountain into one enormous celebration of classic rock.

This wasn’t about reliving the past.

This was a band proving they still belong among the very best.

🎤 Danny Vaughn Was Absolutely Magnificent

At the heart of Tyketto stood the legendary Danny Vaughn, whose voice remains one of the finest in melodic rock.

From the first lyric, his vocals were filled with warmth, power and genuine emotion.

His trademark ability to switch effortlessly between heartfelt ballads and soaring rock anthems was simply breathtaking.

Every song carried passion.

Every chorus invited thousands of fans to sing along.

Between songs, Danny’s humour, humility and connection with the audience made the performance feel wonderfully personal.

It wasn’t just a concert.

It felt like spending an hour with an old friend.

🎸 Timeless Songs That Still Sound Incredible

Tyketto’s catalogue has aged like a fine whisky.

Every song felt as fresh and exciting as the day it was written.

The guitars rang out across the valley with crystal-clear melodies, huge hooks and soaring solos that perfectly complemented Vaughn’s unmistakable vocals.

The balance between melodic rock and harder-edged guitar work created a sound that filled every corner of the Steelhouse site.

Every solo earned huge applause.

Every chorus grew louder than the last.

🥁 A Band Performing at the Top of Their Game

Behind Danny Vaughn, the rest of Tyketto delivered a flawless performance.

The rhythm section was locked in throughout, providing a rock-solid foundation while allowing the guitars and vocals to soar effortlessly.

Years of experience shone through in every song.

Nothing felt rushed.

Nothing felt forced.

The chemistry between the musicians was exceptional, making every performance look completely effortless.

This was a masterclass in live musicianship.

🤘 Steelhouse Sang Every Word

One glance across the Main Stage crowd told the whole story.

Fans were singing every lyric.

Pints were raised high.

Horns filled the air.

Friends wrapped their arms around each other as timeless anthems echoed across the Welsh mountains.

There were smiles everywhere.

For many, these songs had been part of their lives for decades, and hearing them performed live once again created an atmosphere filled with joy and nostalgia.

It was impossible not to get caught up in it.

🌄 The Perfect Setting for Melodic Rock

Steelhouse has always had a knack for placing legendary bands in the perfect surroundings.

As Tyketto’s soaring melodies rolled across the Brecon Beacons, the entire festival site seemed to come alive.

The mountain scenery, the sunshine and the incredible atmosphere combined to create one of those magical Steelhouse moments that simply cannot be recreated anywhere else.

It felt timeless.

🔥 A Reminder That Great Songs Never Grow Old

Some bands rely on memories.

Tyketto relied on outstanding songs.

Every chorus landed.

Every guitar solo thrilled the crowd.

Every performance felt genuine.

Rather than looking backwards, the band celebrated everything that makes melodic rock so enduring.

They proved that brilliant songwriting will always stand the test of time.

🎪 Sunday Afternoon Perfection

As the final notes echoed around the mountain, the applause was immediate and deafening.

Fans knew they had witnessed something special.

Tyketto hadn’t simply played a festival slot.

They had delivered one of the warmest, most uplifting and thoroughly enjoyable performances of the entire weekend.

🍻 The Riff Report Verdict

Tyketto delivered an unforgettable performance packed with exceptional musicianship, timeless songs and one of the finest vocal displays of Steelhouse Festival 2026.

Danny Vaughn remains one of rock’s greatest frontmen, while the entire band proved that melodic rock is alive, well and capable of bringing thousands of fans together in one enormous singalong.

This was classic rock performed with heart, passion and absolute class.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)

Michael

Michael

🎸 About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise — it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publication’s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist — sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
