Sunday at Plumpton Revival 2026 has arrived โ€” and nobody is allowed to start talking about packing the tent away yet. ๐Ÿ˜‚โ›บ

After a full weekend of peace signs, blues riffs, psychedelic nostalgia, circus madness and enough retro clothing to make Plumpton Racecourse look like somebody accidentally reopened 1970, weโ€™ve reached the final full day of the Revival.

And Sunday 9th August isnโ€™t quietly slipping out of the back door either.

Ohhhhh no.

Weโ€™ve got Think Floyd closing the Main Stage, Whoโ€™s Next, The Milk Men, Laurence Jones, Gary Cain, a full Second Stage programme, festival cinema and an evening Comedy Tent headlined by none other than Basil Brush.

Yes.

Basil. Bloody. Brush.

BOOM BOOM! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”ฅ

Get the coffee down you, locate whatever remains of your festival legs and prepare for one last massive day.

Here is The Riff Reportโ€™s full guide to Sunday at Plumpton Revival 2026!

๐ŸŒผ SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST 2026

๐Ÿ“ Plumpton Racecourse, East Sussex

Sundayโ€™s published programme gives us action across:

๐ŸŽธ Main Stage

๐Ÿ”ฅ Second Stage

๐Ÿ˜‚ Comedy Tent

๐ŸŽฌ Festival Cinema

Plus all the additional circus, retro and immersive entertainment scattered around Plumpton Revival.

And weโ€™ve got the actual running order.

So screenshot it.

Bookmark it.

Tattoo it onto your mate if necessary.

Here we go!

๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ”ฅ MAIN STAGE

Sundayโ€™s Main Stage is absolutely dripping with blues-rock, psychedelic sounds and classic festival nostalgia.

๐ŸŽธ 12:15โ€“13:15 โ€” LEWIS HENRY FLOYD

Sunday gets underway with Lewis Henry Floyd, described as a one-man psychedelic blues-rock machine.

Thatโ€™s a fairly spectacular way of announcing yourself before most of us have even finished the first coffee.

Expect blues, psychedelic flavours, raw guitar work and plenty of attitude to wake Plumpton up.

Sunday has officially started.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 13:45โ€“14:30 โ€” HOT PROPERTY

Next up weโ€™ve got Hot Property.

Young rock โ€˜nโ€™ rollers bringing vintage swagger to a festival literally built around celebrating the golden age of British rock?

Thatโ€™s a tidy booking.

Expect youthful energy mixed with old-school rock โ€˜nโ€™ roll spirit.

Get down early and support the next generation keeping guitar music alive. ๐Ÿค˜

๐ŸŽธ 15:00โ€“16:00 โ€” GARY CAIN

Canadian guitarist Gary Cain takes over at 3pm.

And now things could get seriously tasty.

Cainโ€™s reputation is built around fiery guitar playing that stretches blues into rock, funk and plenty more besides.

Festival field.

Big amplifier.

Ridiculously talented guitarist.

You know the drill.

Get near the front.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 16:30โ€“17:30 โ€” LAURENCE JONES

Hereโ€™s another one for the guitar lovers.

Laurence Jones hits the Main Stage at 4:30pm.

The multi-award-winning British blues-rock guitarist has spent years building a reputation as one of the countryโ€™s most exciting modern blues players.

Expect riffs.

Expect solos.

Expect someone approximately three rows from the front to stare at the fretboard for the entire performance trying to work out how the hell heโ€™s doing it.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽธ

๐ŸŽฏ 18:00โ€“19:00 โ€” WHOโ€™S NEXT

This one feels particularly special.

Whoโ€™s Next bring the music of The Who roaring back across Plumpton Racecourse.

Why does that matter?

Because The Who themselves played this very festival site during its original legendary era.

Thereโ€™s something wonderfully full-circle about hearing those songs blasting across Plumpton again decades later.

Expect enormous anthems, explosive rock โ€˜nโ€™ roll energy and plenty of windmill guitar action.

Just donโ€™t smash the guitar afterwards.

Have you seen the price of them these days?! ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿฅ›๐Ÿ”ฅ 19:30โ€“20:30 โ€” THE MILK MEN

At 7:30pm, itโ€™s time for The Milk Men.

With multiple UK Blues Award nominations behind them, these boys know exactly how to deliver blues-rock with hooks, groove and proper live energy.

By this point Sunday should be absolutely flying.

Grab something cold.

Find your mates.

Get yourself back towards the Main Stage.

Because weโ€™ve only got one more act after thisโ€ฆ

๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ 21:00โ€“22:00 โ€” THINK FLOYD โ€” SUNDAY HEADLINERS

And what better way could there possibly be to finish Plumpton Revival?

Think Floyd.

Pink Floydโ€™s music.

At Plumpton Racecourse.

Thatโ€™s history coming around for another lap.

Pink Floyd played at Plumpton during the original festival era, and decades later their music returns to the racecourse through one of Britainโ€™s best-established Pink Floyd tribute acts.

Expect the atmosphere to change completely when darkness falls.

The psychedelic sounds.

The lights.

Those enormous Floyd compositions floating across the Sussex countryside.

Songs associated with albums such as The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here are practically built for moments like this.

Close your eyes for a second and imagine hearing those sounds drifting across the same racecourse where British rock history was being made more than half a century ago.

Thatโ€™s goosebumps territory, mun.

๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Think Floyd โ€” 21:00โ€“22:00

Sunday headliners.

Festival closers.

Donโ€™t miss it.

๐Ÿ”ฅ SECOND STAGE

And donโ€™t make the mistake of spending the entire day glued to the Main Stage.

Because Sundayโ€™s Second Stage is absolutely rammed.

โฐ FULL SECOND STAGE RUNNING ORDER

๐ŸŽธ 12:00โ€“12:30 โ€” Jam Session

๐ŸŽธ 13:00โ€“13:30 โ€” R.A.D

๐Ÿ”ฅ 14:00โ€“15:00 โ€” Lee Ainsleyโ€™s Blues Storm

๐ŸŽธ 15:30โ€“16:30 โ€” Conor Hughes

๐ŸŽค 17:00โ€“18:00 โ€” Samuel Ashton & The Instincts

๐Ÿ”ฅ 18:30โ€“19:30 โ€” Burning Rope

โšก 20:00โ€“21:00 โ€” Lewis Floyd Henry Experience

Thatโ€™s seven performances across the day and a cracking alternative programme if you fancy exploring beyond the Main Stage.

๐ŸŽธ 12:00โ€“12:30 โ€” JAM SESSION

Sunday starts with an old-fashioned Jam Session.

No enormous production.

No messing around.

Just musicians getting together and seeing what happens.

Blues and rock were built on this stuff.

Grab a coffee and start Sunday properly.

โšก 13:00โ€“13:30 โ€” R.A.D

At 1pm, R.A.D take over for a half-hour set before the Second Stage starts stretching into longer performances.

If youโ€™re wandering the site around lunchtime, stick your head in.

Festival discoveries often happen completely by accident.

๐ŸŒฉ๏ธ 14:00โ€“15:00 โ€” LEE AINSLEYโ€™S BLUES STORM

Now that is a name that sounds like it should come with a Met Office warning.

**LEE AINSLEYโ€™S BLUES STORM IS APPROACHING PLUMPTON.

EXPECT HEAVY RIFFS WITH OCCASIONAL THUNDER.**

๐Ÿ˜‚โšก

Theyโ€™ve got an hour to bring the grit, groove and blues thunder.

๐ŸŽธ 15:30โ€“16:30 โ€” CONOR HUGHES

Bristol-born guitarist Conor Hughes follows at 3:30pm, bringing soul, jazz influences and R&B into Sundayโ€™s increasingly varied Second Stage programme.

Exactly the sort of set where you wander over intending to watch ten minutesโ€ฆ

โ€ฆthen suddenly realise youโ€™ve been there for the whole hour.

๐ŸŽค 17:00โ€“18:00 โ€” SAMUEL ASHTON & THE INSTINCTS

Things get soulful at 5pm with Samuel Ashton & The Instincts.

Classic R&B warmth and a soulful vocal sound should provide a cracking change of pace before Sunday evening starts getting considerably louder.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 18:30โ€“19:30 โ€” BURNING ROPE

Burning Rope arrive at 6:30pm with blues-rock and progressive firepower.

This is exactly the sort of band The Riff Report would recommend catching if your musical requirements basically amount to:

โ€œDoes it have guitars?โ€

Yes?

Lovely.

Weโ€™re there. ๐Ÿค˜

โšก 20:00โ€“21:00 โ€” LEWIS FLOYD HENRY EXPERIENCE

And Lewis isnโ€™t finished after opening the Main Stage.

At 8pm, the Lewis Floyd Henry Experience closes Sundayโ€™s Second Stage programme.

Expect Hendrix spirit, psychedelic guitar fireworks and one final enormous blast before everyone heads towards Think Floyd for the festival finale.

That makes this potentially one of Sundayโ€™s best stage-to-stage combinations:

โšก 20:00 โ€” Lewis Floyd Henry Experience

thenโ€ฆ

๐ŸŒˆ 21:00 โ€” Think Floyd

Psychedelic heaven.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”ฅ COMEDY TENT

Need to give your neck a break?

Sundayโ€™s Comedy Tent starts with festival cinema before turning into a full evening of comedy, magic and absolute nonsense.

Which sounds perfect.

๐ŸŽฌ 12:00โ€“18:00 โ€” FESTIVAL CINEMA

The tent begins the day as the Festival Cinema, showing footage celebrating the legendary festival culture of the โ€™60s and โ€™70s.

Itโ€™s also an excellent opportunity to sit down.

Never underestimate the importance of sitting down on festival Sunday.

By this point, an available chair can look more valuable than a winning lottery ticket.

๐Ÿ˜‚ SUNDAY COMEDY RUNNING ORDER

๐ŸŽค 18:00 โ€” Craig Campbell โ€” Host

๐ŸŽฉ 18:10โ€“18:30 โ€” Azaria & Luke M&D Show โ€” Magic and Danger

๐Ÿ˜‚ 18:30โ€“18:50 โ€” Matt Gifford

๐ŸŽค 18:50โ€“19:00 โ€” Martyn Bonner

๐Ÿ˜‚ 19:00โ€“19:10 โ€” Craig Campbell

โ˜˜๏ธ 19:10โ€“19:30 โ€” Irish

๐Ÿ˜‚ 19:30โ€“20:00 โ€” Tony Law

๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿ”ฅ 20:00โ€“21:00 โ€” Basil Brush Adult Show

Yep.

You read that final one correctly.

๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿ”ฅ 20:00โ€“21:00 โ€” BASIL BRUSH ADULT SHOW

What a gloriously bizarre festival booking.

The legendary Basil Brush headlines Sundayโ€™s Comedy Tent with an adult show.

Forget Pink Floyd.

Forget The Who.

Forget Black Sabbath.

Plumptonโ€™s most dangerous booking might actually be a fox.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸฆŠ

If youโ€™ve only ever known Basil from childrenโ€™s television, seeing what happens when the famous fox is unleashed on an adult festival audience could be absolutely priceless.

BOOM BOOM!

๐ŸŽช AND THEREโ€™S STILL MOREโ€ฆ

Remember, Plumpton Revival isnโ€™t simply a collection of stages.

The entire site has been designed around celebrating the culture and atmosphere of the late โ€™60s and early โ€™70s.

Across Sunday you can also expect the wider festival experience including:

๐ŸŽช Circus entertainment

๐Ÿ”ฅ Fire and magic performances

๐Ÿคน Jugglers and performers

๐ŸŽจ Face and body art

๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Retro gaming

๐ŸŽก Retro funfair attractions

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Vintage and artisan stalls

๐Ÿ” Food

๐Ÿบ Real ale and cider

๐Ÿ•บ Funk, soul, Motown and disco

๐ŸŽฌ Festival cinema

๐ŸŒผ Walkabout performers

Basically, wandering between stages is half the adventure.

โš ๏ธ SUNDAY CLASH WATCH!

Now we get to the painful bit.

Festival clashes.

There are a few decisions to make.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Laurence Jones 16:30โ€“17:30 overlaps with Conor Hughes 15:30โ€“16:30 right at the changeover.

๐ŸŽธ Whoโ€™s Next 18:00โ€“19:00 overlaps with the start of Burning Rope 18:30โ€“19:30.

๐Ÿฅ› The Milk Men 19:30โ€“20:30 overlap with Tony Law 19:30โ€“20:00 and the beginning of Basil Brush at 20:00.

And the big oneโ€ฆ

โšก Lewis Floyd Henry Experience โ€” 20:00โ€“21:00

๐ŸฆŠ Basil Brush Adult Show โ€” 20:00โ€“21:00

Both finish just asโ€ฆ

๐ŸŒˆ Think Floyd โ€” 21:00โ€“22:00

begins.

Choices, choices.

This is why festival schedules cause arguments. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ”ฅ THE RIFF REPORT SUNDAY GAME PLAN

If we were attacking Sunday, hereโ€™s how weโ€™d do it.

โ˜• Morning: Coffee. Bacon. Regret nothing.

๐ŸŽธ 12:00: Wander into the Jam Session.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 12:15: Lewis Henry Floyd on the Main Stage.

๐ŸŽธ 13:45: Hot Property.

๐ŸŒฉ๏ธ 14:00: Catch some Lee Ainsleyโ€™s Blues Storm.

๐ŸŽธ 15:00: Gary Cain.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 16:30: Laurence Jones.

๐ŸŽฏ 18:00: Whoโ€™s Next.

๐Ÿฅ› 19:30: The Milk Men.

โšก 20:00: Lewis Floyd Henry Experience โ€” or Basil Brush if youโ€™re feeling particularly chaotic.

๐ŸŒˆ 21:00: THINK FLOYD.

Then stand there afterwards refusing to accept that the weekend is over.

Standard procedure.

๐ŸŒผ FROM PINK FLOYD TO THINK FLOYD

Thereโ€™s something genuinely special about Sundayโ€™s finale.

Plumpton Racecourse isnโ€™t pretending to have musical history.

It actually has it.

The original National Jazz, Blues & Pop Festival brought some astonishing musicians to this patch of Sussex during 1969 and 1970.

Pink Floyd.

The Who.

Black Sabbath.

Deep Purple.

Yes.

Peter Green.

King Crimson.

And many more.

Those names werenโ€™t necessarily the untouchable legends we think of today.

Some were bands still becoming legends.

And thatโ€™s what makes Plumpton fascinating.

Youโ€™re standing on ground where a huge part of British festival culture was still figuring itself out.

๐ŸŽธ๐Ÿ”ฅ THE RIFF REPORT VERDICT

Sunday is a belter.

Youโ€™ve got contemporary blues.

Youโ€™ve got psychedelic rock.

Youโ€™ve got young bands.

Youโ€™ve got veteran performers.

Youโ€™ve got tributes celebrating artists directly connected with Plumptonโ€™s extraordinary history.

Youโ€™ve got comedy.

Youโ€™ve got circus performers.

Youโ€™ve got festival cinema.

Youโ€™ve got Basil Brush doing an adult show, because apparently reality has peaked.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸฆŠ

And then at 9pm, everyone gets one final opportunity to gather around the Main Stage.

Think Floyd take over.

The lights go down.

The music goes up.

And Pink Floydโ€™s songs once again drift across Plumpton Racecourse.

More than half a century separates the original festival from this Revival.

Different bands.

Different audience.

Different world.

But ultimately, the reason everyone came here hasnโ€™t changed.

Music.

Community.

Discovery.

A field full of people who simply bloody love live music.

And maybe thatโ€™s the best tribute Plumpton could possibly give its past.

Not trying to recreate 1969 exactly.

But remembering what made it special.

๐ŸŒผ Peace.

โค๏ธ Love.

๐ŸŽธ Riffs.

๐Ÿบ Questionable camping decisions.

๐ŸฆŠ And apparently Basil Brush.

Sunday at Plumpton Revival 2026 โ€” letโ€™s finish this thing LOUD! ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ”ฅ

Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. See you in the field!

Michael

Michael

๐ŸŽธ About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise โ€” it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publicationโ€™s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist โ€” sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
