Alright butt… this one’s hit like a rogue elbow in a packed pit. No warm-up, no warning — just bang 💥
Former Turnstile guitarist Brady Ebert is reportedly facing a charge of attempted murder following an alleged incident involving the father of Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates.
Yeah… we’re not talking band drama or lineup changes here. This is serious. Proper serious.
⚡ WHAT’S ACTUALLY HAPPENED?
Details are still coming together, but here’s what’s out there so far:
- 🚔 Ebert has reportedly been charged with attempted murder
- 👴 The alleged victim is Brendan Yates’ 79-year-old father
- 🧾 Authorities are handling this as a major criminal case
- 🤐 No full official statements or breakdown of events just yet
It’s early doors, and there’s still a lot we don’t know — but even at this stage, the weight of it is heavy.
🎸 FROM RIFFS TO REALITY
Turnstile have been one of the most exciting bands to come out of hardcore in years — pure energy, groove, sweat dripping from the ceiling vibes 🔥
Ebert was part of that early magic. The kind of guitarist that helped shape the chaos we all loved throwing ourselves into.
But this situation? This isn’t stage chaos.
This is real life — and it’s dark as hell.
😳 THE SCENE’S REACTION
The hardcore community doesn’t stay quiet when something like this drops — and fair play, the reaction’s been instant:
- 😳 Shock across fans and fellow musicians
- 💬 Heated discussions kicking off everywhere
- 💔 A lot of people just trying to process it all
Because let’s be honest — no one expects headlines like this tied to a band that’s been all about unity, movement, and positive energy.
🧠 REAL TALK (DROP THE GUITARS FOR A MINUTE)
We love the noise. We live for the gigs. We thrive in the madness.
But this goes way beyond music.
There’s a family at the centre of this. Real people. Real consequences.
So yeah — as tempting as it is to speculate like you’re down the pub after 4 pints — maybe don’t. Let the facts land properly first.
🔥 WE’LL KEEP THIS UPDATED
You know The Riff Report — we don’t sit quietly in the corner. As soon as more solid info drops, we’ll be back on it faster than a drummer on double kicks 🥁💨
Until then…
Stay loud. Stay kind.
And look after your mates in and out of the pit 🤘💙
