The two KISS legends stepped onto the field at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on 15 August 2026, throwing ceremonial first pitches as part of celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of KISSโs legendary 1976 Anaheim Stadium concert.
And because this is Gene Simmons weโre talking about, one pitch apparently wasnโt enough.
The Demon reportedly ended up throwing four ceremonial pitches.

The celebration takes us all the way back to 20 August 1976, when KISS played Anaheim Stadium during one of the most explosive periods of their career.

Just tens of thousands of rock fans, four painted maniacs onstage and enough theatrical madness to make 1970s parents seriously question what their children were listening to.
KISS were becoming absolutely enormous.

Fast-forward half a century and Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were back in Anaheim.
Only this time, instead of strolling onto a concert stage, they were heading onto a baseball field.
The surviving founding KISS members appeared at Angel Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Angels, to help commemorate that legendary night from 1976.
Stanley and Simmons took part in the ceremonial first-pitch festivities before the Angelsโ game.
For most celebrities, that means walking out, waving at the crowd, throwing one baseball and praying it doesnโt bounce six feet in front of home plate.
Gene Simmons?
Nah.
Apparently Gene decided to throw four.
Thereโs something wonderfully KISS about that.
Why do something once when you can make it four times bigger?
Somewhere, a pyro technician was probably desperately asking whether he could attach flames to the baseball.

Beneath all the fun, though, thereโs something genuinely special about seeing Stanley and Simmons together celebrating this milestone.
KISS officially brought their touring career to an end with the final End of the Road performance at Madison Square Garden in New York in December 2023.
After decades of touring, thousands of shows and enough confetti to bury several small countries, the touring machine finally stopped.
But KISS history hasnโt stopped with it.
Far from it.
Moments like this show just how enormous the bandโs cultural footprint remains.

KISS Destroys Anaheim โ76 is scheduled for release on 21 August 2026, bringing the historic performance roaring back to life half a century later.
The release features a new mix by legendary producer and engineer Eddie Kramer, created from the original multitrack recordings of the Anaheim concert.
For the KISS Army, thatโs a pretty significant piece of rock history.
Weโre talking about KISS captured during one of the defining periods of their career โ young, hungry, theatrical and rapidly becoming one of the biggest bands in the world.
And now those recordings are getting another chance to blow the doors off your speakers.
Neighbours beware.
๐ KISS DIDNโT JUST PLAY CONCERTS
Thatโs perhaps the biggest reason weโre still talking about performances like Anaheim 1976.
KISS understood something very early on.
A rock concert didnโt have to be four musicians standing underneath some lights playing songs.
It could be a spectacle.
Fire.
Smoke.
Blood.
Explosions.
Platform boots.
Flying band members.
Flaming guitars.
Massive illuminated logos.
And enough volume to rearrange your internal organs.
They helped establish the idea that a rock show could be an event.
