Right. Deep breath.
Because the prog gods have spoken — and Glasgow clearly screamed loud enough to wake the neighbours.
Rush have officially added a SECOND Glasgow date to their March 2027 UK tour after the first show sold faster than a limited Bloodstock early bird. That now makes it six UK shows next year for the mighty quartet of Geddy, Alex, Anika and Loren.
And honestly? We love to see it. 🔥
🎸 Glasgow Said “More”, Rush Said “Aye Go On Then”
The first Glasgow date vanished quicker than your mate who “just popped to the bar”. Demand was ridiculous. Proper arena-filling, ticket-refreshing, heart-rate-spiking stuff.
So what do Rush do?
They add another night.
That’s how you treat fans, mun.
🧠 This Line-Up Is NOT Nostalgia
Let’s get one thing straight — this isn’t some dusty reunion wheeled out for a payday.
Geddy Lee is still prowling the stage like a bass-wielding wizard of tone.
Alex Lifeson still conjures riffs that feel like they’ve been beamed in from another galaxy.
Anika and Loren bring fresh energy and rhythmic muscle that keeps everything thunderous and sharp.
It feels alive. It feels current. It feels like Rush.
And that’s what matters.
🎶 What’s Coming to Glasgow?
If recent shows are anything to go by, expect:
- Prog epics that twist your brain in the best way
- Riffs so tight you’ll pull a muscle nodding
- Arena-wide singalongs that raise the roof
- At least one emotional moment where grown rock fans suddenly “get something in their eye”
Night One is going to be electric.
Night Two? Absolute carnage.
🚌 Welsh Rock Pilgrimage Incoming?
Let’s be honest — there’ll be a convoy heading north from Wales.
You can already picture it:
- Rush blasting in the car
- Services stop debates about favourite albums
- Someone definitely forgetting the tickets
- Someone else bringing a Welsh flag
Glasgow won’t know what’s hit it.
🎟 Don’t Snooze This Time
If you missed the first announcement and had to watch tickets vanish in real time… this is your redemption arc.
Rush fans are organised. Strategic. Surgical. They don’t hang about.
If you want in, move fast.
Six UK shows.
Two nights in Glasgow.
Prog royalty still commanding arenas in 2027.
And people say rock is dead?
Behave.
See you somewhere respectfully nodding along while pretending we understand every time signature change. 🤘🔥
