The fallout from Sid Wilson’s departure from Slipknot continues, with clothing brand HEXED confirming it will no longer be affiliated with the longtime DJ following his exit from the masked metal giants.
In a short statement posted to its official Instagram account, HEXED addressed the situation after apparently receiving a flood of questions from fans.
The message read:
“Since Sid Wilson is no longer a member of Slipknot, HEXED will also be no longer affiliated with him.
We wish him all the best for his future endeavors.”
Short, simple and straight to the point — but it’s another sign that the landscape surrounding Slipknot is changing rapidly. 🤘
🎭 Sid Wilson’s Slipknot Era Comes To An End
Wilson’s departure was already massive news for the metal world.
Known to generations of Maggots as #0, Sid became one of the most recognisable members of Slipknot thanks to his masks, turntables, samples and completely unhinged live performances.
He joined the band during their formative years in the late 1990s and went on to become an integral part of the Slipknot machine.
And when we say machine, we mean the sort of machine that looks like it was built in a shed, powered by diesel and rage, and probably wouldn’t pass an MOT in Port Talbot. 😈
Sid wasn’t exactly known for standing politely behind his equipment either.
Over the years, fans watched him leap from stage equipment, climb whatever happened to be nearby, fight with bandmates for laughs and generally behave like someone had forgotten to explain the concept of health and safety.
It became part of the Slipknot experience.
Nine masked lunatics tearing through some of the heaviest music on the planet while Sid appeared to be auditioning for Jackass somewhere in the background.
Beautiful stuff. 😂🤘
🖤 HEXED Confirms The Split
Following Sid’s departure from Slipknot, HEXED has now confirmed that its association with him has also ended.
The brand’s Instagram statement attracted plenty of attention, with the post receiving thousands of likes and hundreds of comments.
The caption simply added:
“because everyone asked…”
That tells you pretty much everything.
Fans clearly wanted to know whether Sid’s changing circumstances with Slipknot would affect his connection with HEXED, and now they’ve got their answer.
It will.
The important thing, though, is that there doesn’t appear to be any public mud-slinging involved.
HEXED’s statement ended by wishing Wilson the best for whatever comes next.
No ten-paragraph rant.
No cryptic Instagram Story.
No passive-aggressive unfollowing saga worthy of a reality TV programme.
Just: we’re no longer working together, all the best.
Fair enough, mun.
🔥 Another Change In The Slipknot Universe
For Slipknot fans, however, it adds another chapter to what has become a significant period of change surrounding the band.
The Slipknot line-up has evolved considerably over the years, particularly following the death of bassist Paul Gray in 2010.
Founding drummer Joey Jordison left the band in 2013 and sadly died in 2021.
Percussionist Chris Fehn departed in 2019.
Keyboardist and sampler Craig Jones left in 2023, while drummer Jay Weinberg also departed later that year.
Now Sid Wilson’s exit represents another major change involving a musician who had been part of the Slipknot story for decades.
For longtime fans, it’s understandably strange.
When you’ve watched a particular version of a band for years — bought the albums, queued for the gigs, survived the pits and screamed the lyrics until your throat resembled sandpaper — those musicians become part of the band’s identity.
And Sid was absolutely part of Slipknot’s identity.
🎧 What Happens Next For Sid Wilson?
That’s now the massive question.
Wilson has never been limited exclusively to Slipknot.
Away from the band, he’s explored electronic music, DJ projects and other creative ventures, so there are plenty of directions his post-Slipknot career could potentially take.
After spending decades inside one of the biggest metal bands on Earth, you’d imagine there’ll be no shortage of people interested in seeing what #0 does next.
Solo material?
DJ appearances?
Collaborations?
A completely unexpected project that sends the internet into meltdown?
At this point, who knows?
But considering Sid Wilson has spent most of his career doing things nobody expected him to do, we’re not ruling out anything. 😂
🤘 The End Of One Chapter
HEXED’s announcement might only be a few sentences long, but it underlines just how much can change when someone leaves a band as enormous as Slipknot.
There are tours, endorsements, partnerships, merchandise arrangements and countless other connections surrounding musicians at that level.
When one chapter closes, plenty of other pieces can move with it.
For now, HEXED has made its position clear while also keeping things respectful towards Sid.
And the metal world waits to see where Wilson goes from here.
Whatever happens next, decades of chaos, turntables, masks, stage dives and absolute carnage have already secured Sid Wilson’s place in Slipknot history.
#0 might have left Slipknot — but you don’t erase that kind of legacy overnight.
Stay loud, stay weird and keep watching this space, butt. 🤘🔥
Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. Zero Apologies.
