Well, that’s a proper bummer, butt. 😞 British prog-metal maestros HAKEN have announced they won’t be joining Coheed and Cambria on their upcoming UK dates — and fans are gutted.
In a heartfelt post shared to Facebook earlier today, the band said:
“We are really sad to announce that we will not be able to play our upcoming shows with Coheed and Cambria due to reasons beyond our control. We were really looking forward to this run and apologise to our fans that had planned to come and see us in the UK. We’re big fans of @coheed and wish them the best for the tour, and hope that you still go check out their killer show. We can’t wait to come back out next year ourselves and play for you all again.

The lads were clearly buzzing for this run, which would’ve seen them bring their technical wizardry and prog perfection to stages across the UK alongside Coheed’s sci-fi rock saga madness. Fans online have flooded the comments with sadness and support, with one simply saying: “Nooo, I was coming just for Haken!” 😭
While the exact reason hasn’t been revealed, the band say it’s “beyond their control” — so it could be anything from visa chaos to logistics or health. Whatever the case, they’ve promised they’ll be back next year to make it up to everyone. And knowing Haken, it’ll be worth the wait. 🤘
