Welcome back to Worthy Farm, butt โ the mythical land of milk, honey, and mosh pits. Glastonbury 2025 promised everything: surprise sets, spiritual awakenings, sonic wizardry, and yes, plenty of people in questionable fancy dress trying to find the loo at 3am.
With record-breaking crowds, a lineup that melted minds, and enough rain to warrant building a bloody ark, this year was pure Glasto chaos in all its muddy glory. From the very first secret set on Wednesday to Madonnaโs divisive Sunday spectacle, The Riff Report was in the trenches, pint in one hand and notepad in the other, ready to report back on every riff, roar, and rowdy moment.

๐๏ธ WEDNESDAY: THE CALM BEFORE THE RIFF
The Good:
- Arrival buzz. Tent cities pop up like mushrooms.
- Secret sets hinted across forums. Excitement in the air.
- First pint at the Brothers Bar. Ahh, bliss.
- NYC Downlow kicks off with disco fever.
- Glasto regulars welcoming newbies with hugs, not shrugs.
The Bad:
- Traffic. Gridlock from 5am. Some missed half the day queuing.
- That one guy blaring “Wonderwall” on a Bluetooth speaker for six hours straight. Stop it, Darren.
The Ugly:
- South East Corner descended into chaos after a freak mudslide took out three tents.
- Already lost count of how many wellies stuck in sludge.
But still… spirits were high, butts were shaking, and the heart of Glasto beat strong.
๐๏ธ THURSDAY: SECRET SETS & SURREAL VIBES
The Good:
- The Libertines (yep, it was them!) played a not-so-secret set at The Other Stage.
- Arcadiaโs giant fire-breathing spider lit up the sky. Goosebumps all round.
- Crows gathering at The Park Stage rumour: Those Damn Crows? No, it was The Hives. Still tidy!
- Greenpeace field was lush with interactive climate displays.
The Bad:
- Some sound bleed issues across Silver Hayes. Jungle beats vs folk fiddle = brain mash.
- Queues for food trucks already intense.
The Ugly:
- Two porta-loos exploded. Yep, exploded. We donโt want to know how.
But with the first full festival night in swing, Thursday felt like the fuse was officially lit.
๐๏ธ FRIDAY: FULL SEND
The Good:
- Pyramid Stage carnage: Green Day blew the roof off. Billie Joe still king of the stage.
- Dua Lipaโs surprise appearance sent TikTok into meltdown. Pop perfection.
- The Prodigy. Other Stage. Fire. Chaos. Keith may be gone, but the rage lives on.
- Fontaines D.C. got angsty on The Park.
- The Glade turned into an all-night jungle temple. Unreal scenes.
The Bad:
- Water refill points struggled to keep up. Queues longer than for Coldplay merch.
- Some dickhead flying a drone over the Pyramid. Cโmon, mun!
The Ugly:
- Reports of pickpocketing increased.
- Security overwhelmed during The Prodigyโs finale. One fan face-planted into a speaker stack (he was fine, but dazed and muddy).
Day one of the full lineup delivered. Everyone was sunburnt, soaked, and smiling.
๐๏ธ SATURDAY: LEGENDS, LUNACY & LOTS OF LAGER
The Good:
- Coldplay brought lasers, wristbands, and new songs that didn’t suck.
- Alanis Morissette nailed her Pyramid debut. Big 90s vibes.
- Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott: classic, charming, and proper singalong magic.
- Skindred on West Holts = absolute carnage. Benji Webb for King!
- A marriage proposal on the hill got a loud โYESS MUN!โ from 5,000 people.
The Bad:
- Sound bleed from Arcadia disrupted spoken word sets in The Left Field.
- Toilets? Letโs just say they were no longer fit for human use.
The Ugly:
- Naked mud wrestling escalated into a full-blown ambulance situation. What is WRONG with people?
- A spontaneous fire poi performance torched a vegan falafel stand. No injuries, just burnt hummus.
๐๏ธ SUNDAY: EMOTIONAL WRECKAGE
The Good:
- Madonna. Iconic or shambolic? Either way, everyone was talking about it.
- Idles. Absolutely terrifying. In a good way.
- Glasto Kids Choir. 10/10 wholesome vibes.
- Kneecap rallied a massive crowd despite BBC drama.
- Fireworks finale left everyone crying into their cider.
The Bad:
- Everyone knackered, sunburnt, or half-lost.
- Half the crowd had no voice left.
- People started queuing for coaches at 4pm. Festival not even over!
The Ugly:
- Final night tent carnage: stolen air mattresses, abandoned gear, and at least one flamingo costume filled with vomit.
๐ช CLEAN-UP CREW & CLOSING THOUGHTS
The real MVPs? The clean-up crews. Diolch to every one of you. 200,000+ humans can leave behind a right mess. Mountains of rubbish, broken tents, and mysteriously abandoned glitter cannons.
Glasto 2025 made big steps with compost loos and plastic reduction, but thereโs still work to do. Bring your crap home, mun. Itโs not that hard.
