The night is calling — and apparently it wants riffs, zombies, soaring melodies and one hell of a three-band bill.
DOMINUM are heading out on the Night Is Calling Tour 2026, bringing their theatrical heavy metal spectacle across Europe and the UK throughout November and December 2026.
And Dr. Dead isn’t travelling alone.
Joining DOMINUM for the run are Swedish melodic rock adventurers The Night Flight Orchestra and American cinematic metallers Edge Of Paradise, creating a seriously varied package that should offer something different from the moment the doors open.
The tour begins in Paris on 24 November before travelling across mainland Europe and hitting Manchester, Bristol and London in December.
🧟 DOMINUM – The Dead Are Taking Over
DOMINUM have quickly established themselves as one of the more theatrical names emerging from modern melodic metal.
Fronted by the mysterious Dr. Dead, the German outfit combine heavy riffs, enormous choruses, cinematic production and a gloriously over-the-top horror concept filled with zombies and the undead.
Because sometimes metal doesn’t need to be complicated.
Sometimes you just need massive riffs and a few reanimated corpses wandering around.
The Night Is Calling Tour 2026 gives DOMINUM the opportunity to push that theatrical world even further, taking their latest material onto stages across Europe alongside songs that have helped establish the band’s growing reputation.
Expect riffs.
Expect hooks.
Expect theatrical madness.
And expect significantly more zombies than you’d normally encounter on a Tuesday night in Manchester.

Well… maybe not too open. We’ve seen how zombie films usually end.
✈️ Who Are The Night Flight Orchestra?
If you’ve never experienced The Night Flight Orchestra, you’re in for something completely different.
Formed in Sweden in 2007, the band originally grew from an idea between Björn Strid and David Andersson, musicians better known at the time for considerably heavier music.
Strid, of course, is widely recognised as the frontman of Soilwork, but The Night Flight Orchestra allows him to explore an entirely different musical universe.
Rather than crushing modern metal, we’re talking classic rock, AOR, progressive rock, disco, funk and glossy late-’70s and early-’80s influences.
Think enormous choruses.
Synths.
Guitar solos.
Danceable rhythms.
Retro glamour.
And the sort of songs that make you want to drive through a neon-lit city at midnight despite currently standing in a sweaty rock venue holding a pint.
🎹 From Side Project To Festival Favourite
What started as something of a musical escape developed into a fully fledged band with its own unmistakable identity.
Albums including Internal Affairs, Skyline Whispers, Amber Galactic, Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough, Aeromantic and Aeromantic II helped establish The Night Flight Orchestra as much more than a side project.
Their live performances have become particularly celebrated because the band fully embrace the flamboyance of their music.
This isn’t miserable shoe-gazing rock.
It’s colourful.
It’s energetic.
It’s ridiculously catchy.
And it frequently feels like somebody accidentally parked a 1980s nightclub directly inside a rock festival.
That makes them a fascinating addition to DOMINUM’s tour.
DOMINUM bring the horror.
The Night Flight Orchestra bring the party.
Perfect.
🔥 Who Are Edge Of Paradise?
Opening the evening are Edge Of Paradise, a band bringing another completely different atmosphere to the package.
Formed in Los Angeles, Edge Of Paradise are fronted by vocalist Margarita Monet and have developed a sound combining traditional heavy metal foundations with modern production, electronics, symphonic elements and futuristic imagery.
Where DOMINUM explore horror and The Night Flight Orchestra dive headfirst into retro rock, Edge Of Paradise increasingly look towards science fiction and futuristic concepts.
Their music blends muscular guitar work with atmospheric electronics and Monet’s powerful vocals, giving the band a sound that can shift between melodic, cinematic and properly heavy.
🤖 Metal Meets Science Fiction
Edge Of Paradise have steadily expanded the scale of their sound across releases including Mask, Immortal Waltz, Universe, The Unknown and Hologram.
As the band’s career has developed, so has the visual side.
Artwork, videos and performances increasingly embrace futuristic concepts, technology and dystopian imagery, making Edge Of Paradise another band that understands heavy music can be about more than simply standing underneath four white lights and playing the songs.
There’s a world surrounding the music.
And that makes them particularly well suited to this tour.
🤘 Why This Three-Band Line-Up Works
On paper, these three bands occupy noticeably different musical territories.
That’s precisely why this bill looks so interesting.
Edge Of Paradise can kick things off with futuristic, cinematic modern metal.
The Night Flight Orchestra can follow with huge melodies, retro AOR swagger and enough hooks to keep an arena singing for a fortnight.
Then DOMINUM can finish proceedings by opening the laboratory doors and unleashing the zombies.
Three bands.
Three distinctive identities.
Three very different approaches to putting on a rock show.
That sounds considerably more exciting than sitting through three hours of bands desperately trying to sound exactly like one another.
🎭 More Than Just The Music
Another common thread connecting the three acts is their understanding of presentation.
DOMINUM have their horror universe and Dr. Dead.
Edge Of Paradise lean heavily into futuristic and science-fiction imagery.
The Night Flight Orchestra embrace the glamour, colour and excess of classic AOR and retro rock.
All three understand that audiences aren’t only turning up to hear songs reproduced exactly as they appear on Spotify.
They’re buying a ticket to a show.
And with increasingly ambitious production becoming part of DOMINUM’s live identity, the Night Is Calling Tour could deliver a genuinely theatrical evening from opening band to headliner.
🎟️ Don’t Skip The Support Bands
We say this regularly at The Riff Report, but this tour is a particularly good example:
Get there early.
Don’t sit in the pub until ten minutes before DOMINUM walk onstage.
Don’t spend the entire Edge Of Paradise set queueing for merch.
And definitely don’t wander in halfway through The Night Flight Orchestra because somebody decided another pint was essential.
Support bands are one of the best parts of live music.
Today’s opening act can very easily become tomorrow’s festival headliner.
And on this tour, you’re getting two established international bands alongside DOMINUM rather than anonymous names thrown onto the poster to fill twenty minutes.
Get through those doors and give all three bands some noise. 🤘
🐉 The Riff Report Says…
This is shaping up to be a cracking winter package.
You’ve got the futuristic metal of Edge Of Paradise.
You’ve got the glorious retro rock ‘n’ roll party of The Night Flight Orchestra.
And then you’ve got DOMINUM, Dr. Dead and an army of things that probably should’ve remained six feet underground.
Musically, they’re different.
Visually, they’re different.
And that’s exactly what makes the bill interesting.
The Night Is Calling Tour 2026 should feel less like three bands playing consecutive sets and more like travelling through three completely different musical worlds over the course of one evening.
UK fans get their chance in Manchester, Bristol and London this December, while the rest of Europe has a substantial run of dates stretching from late November until Christmas.
There’s only one glaring omission.
WALES. 🐉
We’ll keep a light on in Cardiff just in case the tour bus takes a suspiciously convenient wrong turn.
Until then, get those tickets sorted, get down early and support every band on the bill.
The night is calling — and it’s bringing one hell of a soundtrack. 🧟♂️✈️🔥🤘
Keep it loud. Keep it heavy. Keep supporting live music.
