Sometimes life on the road throws up unexpected surprises. A broken guitar? Fair enough. A dodgy festival shower? Standard. A cancelled ferry? Weโve all been there.
But getting bitten by a batโฆ then a poisonous spiderโฆ on two separate AC/DC tours?
Now thatโs proper rock โnโ roll chaos.
Taylor Momsen, the powerhouse frontwoman of The Pretty Reckless, has revealed sheโs suffered yet another run-in with the animal kingdom, admitting sheโs beginning to wonder whether sheโs incredibly luckyโฆ or completely cursed.
๐ฆ First Came the Batโฆ
Rock fans will remember the surreal moment back in May 2024 when The Pretty Reckless were opening for AC/DC in Seville, Spain.
While performing on stage, a bat unexpectedly attached itself to Momsenโs leg. Initially unaware of what had happened, she carried on until crew members alerted her that she had acquired an unexpected backing vocalistโฆ with wings.
The incident wasnโt just bizarreโit was potentially dangerous.
Following the show, Momsen underwent a two-week course of anti-rabies vaccinations as a precaution, joking about the experience while somehow keeping her sense of humour intact.
Most musicians leave a tour with a few bruises.
Taylor left with rabies injections.
๐ท๏ธ Then Came the Spiderโฆ
If lightning wasnโt supposed to strike twice, apparently spiders didnโt get the memo.
While once again touring with AC/DC, this time in Mexico City during April 2026, Momsen suffered another painful encounter after being bitten by a poisonous spider.
Speaking about her increasingly unbelievable luck, she laughed:
โI donโt know whether getting bit twice means Iโm lucky or cursed.โ
Honestly, Taylorโฆ weโre leaning towards cursed, butt.
At this rate weโre expecting the next tour to involve sharks, bears or an overly aggressive festival seagull.

Long before she was leading one of modern rockโs most respected bands, Taylor Momsen was already a familiar face.
Millions first knew her as the adorable Cindy Lou Who opposite Jim Carrey in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, before she became a household name starring as Jenny Humphrey in the hit television series Gossip Girl.
