Australia, prepare to BREAK STUFF.

Good Things Festival is charging back into Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this December, and the 2026 edition has dropped an absolutely ridiculous lineup headed by none other than Limp Bizkit. 🤘🔥

Yep. Fred Durst and the nu-metal wrecking crew are heading Down Under again — and this time they’re sitting right at the top of the Good Things bill.

Joining them for one of the biggest alternative travelling festival lineups of the year are Simple Plan, Spiritbox, Polaris, The All-American Rejects, Bad Religion, Alexisonfire, Grinspoon, Millencolin, Ministry, Chad Gray, Neck Deep, P.O.D., The Devil Wears Prada and a whole heap more.

Basically, if your wardrobe contains black band shirts and you’ve ever screamed a chorus while spilling a questionable pint over yourself, Good Things 2026 has probably booked something for you.

🎤 LIMP BIZKIT ARE BACK AT GOOD THINGS

Limp Bizkit return to Good Things after appearing at the huge 2023 edition, which became the festival’s biggest year at the time and sold out its Brisbane and Melbourne events. (

Since then, the band’s resurgence has gone completely off the rails.

What was already a huge nostalgic revival has turned into another genuinely massive era for Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal.

The band finally headlined Download Festival in the UK in 2026, following their enormously talked-about 2024 appearance, and they’ve continued occupying major festival slots around the world.

Now Australia gets another turn.

Expect riffs.

Expect red caps.

Expect people yelling “ROLLIN’, ROLLIN’, ROLLIN’” like they’ve suddenly been teleported back to Kerrang! TV circa 2001.

And when Break Stuff eventually drops?

Good luck to whichever poor soul is trying to keep hold of their chips.

🔥 GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL 2026 — FULL LINEUP

The official Good Things announcement features a monster mixture of nu-metal, punk, metalcore, pop-punk, hardcore, industrial metal, alternative rock and emerging heavy talent.

🎸 Appearing at Good Things Festival 2026:

  • Limp Bizkit
  • Simple Plan
  • Spiritbox
  • Polaris
  • The All-American Rejects
  • Bad Religion — 45 Year + 1 Anniversary
  • Alexisonfire — Performing Crisis in full
  • Grinspoon
  • Millencolin — Performing Pennybridge Pioneers in full
  • Bilmuri
  • Ministry — Farewell Australia
  • Chad Gray — “30 Years of Madness”, performing songs from Mudvayne & HELLYEAH
  • MxPx
  • Neck Deep
  • Speed
  • Slowly Slowly
  • P.O.D.
  • The Devil Wears Prada
  • Choirboys
  • All Them Witches
  • The Black Queen — Fever Daydream 10th Anniversary
  • Future Palace
  • Headwreck
  • House Of Protection
  • The Home Team
  • Ivri
  • Kami Kehoe
  • Locked Shut
  • LØLØ
  • Vianova
  • Voice Of Baceprot

And that’s before you even factor in the additional madness surrounding the festival’s Stage 666 activities.

Tidy little weekend then, mun. 😈

🇨🇦 SIMPLE PLAN BRING THE POP-PUNK PARTY

If Limp Bizkit are responsible for the chaos, Simple Plan are arriving armed with the enormous singalong choruses.

The Canadian pop-punk favourites remain one of the genre’s most beloved bands, with songs including I’d Do Anything, I’m Just A Kid, Addicted, Perfect, Welcome To My Life and Summer Paradise firmly lodged in several generations of alternative fans’ brains.

They last appeared at Good Things back in 2019, making their 2026 return another cracking bit of business.

If you’ve ever shouted I’m Just A Kid after making a disastrous adult financial decision, congratulations — this one’s for you.

💀 SPIRITBOX REPRESENT THE NEW HEAVY GENERATION

Then there’s Spiritbox.

Courtney LaPlante and company have rapidly become one of modern metal’s biggest forces, blending crushing heaviness, progressive ideas and atmospheric passages into something capable of working equally well in sweaty clubs and enormous festival fields.

Good Things marks another Australian appearance for the band following their previous Down Under performances at Knotfest Australia.

Tracks such as Holy Roller should sound absolutely monstrous blasting across the festival site.

Necks will hurt.

Physios will prosper.

Circle of life, butt. 🤘

🚨 ALEXISONFIRE ARE PLAYING CRISIS IN FULL

Now we’re talking.

Alexisonfire will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their landmark 2006 album Crisis by playing the record in full.

That means Australian crowds can expect an enormous dose of mid-2000s post-hardcore nostalgia, including favourites such as:

This Could Be Anywhere in the World

Boiled Frogs

Rough Hands

For fans who lived through that era, this could be one of the emotional highlights of the entire weekend.

Someone check whether fringe haircuts are coming back.

🛹 MILLENCOLIN ARE PLAYING PENNYBRIDGE PIONEERS

And the full-album madness doesn’t stop there.

Swedish skate-punk legends Millencolin will perform their platinum-certified 2000 album Pennybridge Pioneers from beginning to end.

That’s one hell of a booking for old-school punk fans.

Dust off the Vans.

Find your wallet chain.

Try not to pull something while pretending you’re still 19.

🖤 MINISTRY SAY FAREWELL TO AUSTRALIA

There’ll also be an emotional edge to the weekend as industrial metal legends Ministry play what Good Things is billing as their final Australian performances.

Led by Al Jourgensen, Ministry helped shape industrial metal into the snarling mechanical monster we know today.

For Australian fans, Good Things 2026 therefore isn’t merely another Ministry festival appearance.

It could be goodbye.

That set deserves to be absolutely rammed.

🤘 CHAD GRAY CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF MADNESS

Another particularly tasty inclusion comes courtesy of Chad Gray.

The unmistakable voice behind Mudvayne and HELLYEAH will present “30 Years of Madness”, pulling material from both bands’ catalogues.

If you’re imagining thousands of people suddenly trying to remember how to correctly headbang to Mudvayne basslines…

Yes.

Exactly that.

🏴 WREXHAM REPRESENT! NECK DEEP HIT AUSTRALIA

We can’t ignore this one at Riff Report Towers.

Neck Deep, formed in Wrexham, Wales, are on the bill. 🐉🤘

The Welsh pop-punk favourites have developed into one of Britain’s biggest modern alternative exports, touring globally and building a catalogue seemingly designed specifically for gigantic festival singalongs.

Welsh flags at the ready, lads.

Cymru is going Down Under.

Proper job.

📅 GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL 2026 DATES

The travelling festival will hit Australia’s east coast across three consecutive days:

🇦🇺 Friday 4 December 2026

Melbourne

🇦🇺 Saturday 5 December 2026

Sydney

🇦🇺 Sunday 6 December 2026

Brisbane

The dates were officially confirmed earlier in 2026, with the festival once again travelling between the three cities over one giant December weekend.

🏟️ Venues

Melbourne — Flemington Racecourse

Sydney — Sydney Showground

Brisbane — Brisbane Showgrounds

🎟️ GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL 2026 TICKETS

The Good Things Festival pre-sale begins Tuesday 18 August 2026 at 10am Australian Eastern Standard Time, with fans required to register for pre-sale access through the festival’s official website.

General ticket sales are scheduled to follow on Thursday 20 August 2026 at 10am AEST.

With Limp Bizkit, Simple Plan, Spiritbox and that ridiculous undercard involved, we wouldn’t exactly recommend spending ticket morning casually making toast while assuming they’ll still be there later.

Get the kettle on early.

Get logged in.

Get the group chat organised.

Then commence the traditional festival ticket ritual of screaming at the spinning loading wheel.

⚠️ IMPORTANT AGE RESTRICTION UPDATE

One detail worth clearing up: Good Things has officially stated that all three 2026 festival dates will be 16+.

That means:

Melbourne — 16+

Sydney — 16+

Brisbane — 16+

Festival-goers should still check the final ticketing terms and entry requirements when purchasing.

🎶 WHAT COULD LIMP BIZKIT PLAY?

The exact Good Things setlists won’t be known until December, obviously, but a headline Limp Bizkit show means there’s every chance Australian crowds will hear absolute weapons from across the band’s career.

We’re talking stuff like:

Break Stuff

Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)

My Generation

My Way

Nookie

Take A Look Around

And yes, potentially a certain cover of Behind Blue Eyes appearing somewhere amongst the chaos.

One minute you’re bouncing.

Next minute Fred Durst has 30,000 people singing.

Then Wes Borland appears looking like something summoned accidentally during an occult IKEA assembly session.

Standard Limp Bizkit gig.

🔥 GOOD THINGS 2026 COULD BE ABSOLUTE BEDLAM

Good Things has built itself into a serious fixture of the Australian alternative calendar, but this lineup feels particularly aimed at bringing several generations together.

You’ve got the late-’90s and early-2000s heavyweights.

You’ve got the pop-punk nostalgia.

You’ve got hardcore.

You’ve got modern metalcore.

You’ve got industrial legends.

You’ve got anniversary album performances.

You’ve got farewell appearances.

And sitting on top of the whole thing is Limp Bizkit — a band somehow enjoying one of the biggest live periods of their career decades after nu-metal supposedly wasn’t cool anymore.

Funny how that worked out, innit?

Nu-metal didn’t die.

It just went home, changed into baggy jeans and waited for everybody else to admit they missed it.

🤘 The Riff Report Verdict

Good Things Festival 2026 looks completely ridiculous — in the best possible way.

Limp Bizkit headlining.

Spiritbox bringing modern metal brutality.

Simple Plan delivering gigantic pop-punk choruses.

Alexisonfire playing Crisis.

Millencolin playing Pennybridge Pioneers.

Ministry saying farewell to Australia.

Chad Gray bringing Mudvayne and HELLYEAH material.

And Wales getting some representation courtesy of Neck Deep.

December in Australia is going to be hot enough already.

Apparently Good Things looked at that situation and thought:

“Needs more riffs.”

Fair play. 🔥🤘🇦🇺

Good Things Festival 2026 takes place in Melbourne on 4 December, Sydney on 5 December and Brisbane on 6 December.

Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. Zero Apologies.

Michael

🎸 About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise — it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publication’s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist — sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
