A wild night at a Turnstile gig in Richmond, Virginia, took a dark turn — and now the bodycam footage has hit the internet. 🎥
The incident, which reportedly took place last month, shows a police officer pepper-spraying a teenage fan during the chaos of the hardcore band’s set. The crowd was bouncing, mosh pits were flying — proper Turnstile energy — when things suddenly escalated.
According to reports, the officer was responding to what they described as “crowd control issues,” but fans on the scene say the cop went way over the line. Witnesses claim the teen wasn’t posing any threat and was just “caught up in the pit” when the spray was unleashed. 😤
Clips from the newly released bodycam footage show confusion, shouting, and fans trying to help the teen rinse their eyes while Turnstile’s music still blasted in the background — surreal doesn’t even cover it.
The band haven’t publicly commented yet, but fan communities are fuming (and rightly so). Many are calling out the use of force at live shows, especially at punk and hardcore gigs where high energy is the norm.
“Turnstile shows are supposed to be about unity, release, and joy,” one fan posted. “Not this.”
👀 Expect this story to keep unfolding — the footage is now doing the rounds online, and people are demanding accountability.
Only in America, mun… 🇺🇸🤦♂️
