Punk prince. Northern noise-maker. Now venue owner?! YUNGBLUD just dropped a bombshell on Londonโs rock scene by announcing heโs opening his own live music venue later this year โ and where heโs putting it is the stuff of absolute legend.
Welcome to 20 Denmark Street, Sohoโฆ
AKA the old stomping ground of guitar gods, rock icons, and now the new HQ for the weird, the wired, and the wonderfully loud. ๐ค๐ค
๐ค From Tea-Boy to Rock Royalty โ This Address Has History
Letโs break it down, butt. This isnโt just some random postcode Yungbludโs claimed for the hell of it. Nah, this place is sacred.
๐ 20 Denmark Street was once home to Mills Music โ the office where a young Elton John (yes, that Elton John) worked as a humble tea boy back in the ’60s. Long before the feathers and pianos, he was literally fetching the cuppas.
๐ธ More recently, the spot was home to Wunjo Guitars, one of Londonโs most beloved guitar shops, where every wannabe Jimmy Page or Johnny Marr has spent hours drooling over six-strings since 2001. Wunjoโs just moved a few doors downโฆ and now the torch is being passed.
And who better to pick it up than Dom himself?
๐ค “I WANT PEOPLE TO HANG OUT, MEET, AND MAKE REAL CONNECTIONS”
In his own words, Yungblud isnโt just opening a gig venue or pop-up merch stall. This is about something bigger.
โI want people to hang out, meet and have a physical space to make real connections in this virtual world.โ
Translation? He’s creating a haven. A misfit palace. A DIY sanctuary where emos, punks, queers, rebels, alt-kids, and straight-up weirdos can just be.
Imagine a place where you can catch an intimate gig, rant about politics, scribble lyrics on the bathroom walls, or just flop on a battered couch and exist without judgment.
This ainโt a bar โ itโs a bloody movement. ๐ค๐ฅ
๐งท What Can We Expect?
Details are still under wraps (classic Yungblud chaos), but here’s what we reckon is incoming:
๐ถ Live shows โ duh. Expect surprise sets, up-and-comers, and maybe the man himself jumping on stage unannounced.
๐๏ธ Hangout zones โ beanbags, booths, maybe even therapy chairs? We wouldn’t put it past him.
๐ง Alt drinks & vibes โ coffee, Monster, glitter shots? Whatever fuels Gen Z rage.
๐๏ธ Art walls & protest corners โ a place to scream in colour.
๐ง Open mic nights โ raw, sweaty, no-filter energy.
๐จโ๐ค Guest pop-ups โ don’t be shocked if Billie Eilish, Machine Gun Kelly or Nova Twins swing by one night just for the hell of it.
Yungblud has always blurred the line between music and community. Now he’s turning that energy into brick-and-mortar rebellion.
๐ธ Why This MATTERS
In a world drowning in TikTok trends and algorithm anxiety, where gigs get livestreamed and mosh pits are virtualโฆ this is a real place. For real people. With real noise.
Yungbludโs not just screaming into the void anymore โ heโs giving that scream a postcode.
And Denmark Street? Well, sheโs seen Bowie, Hendrix, and the Sex Pistols. But sheโs never seen anything quite like this. And frankly, she needed the jolt. ๐
๐๏ธ So Whenโs It Opening?
No exact date yet โ typical rockstar tease โ but it’s set to open later this year (2025). Keep your eyeliner close and your Docs laced tight, โcos when those doors swing open, itโs gonna be carnage in the best way.
Follow Yungbludโs socials and keep an eye on The Riff Report for updates faster than you can scream โFLESH AND BONE!โ
๐ฌ Final Riff: Yesss MUN!
This is more than a venue.
This is a declaration:
๐ฅ That alt kids deserve a throne.
๐ฅ That Londonโs still got soul.
๐ฅ That Yungblud isnโt just a performer โ heโs building a freakinโ empire for the underdogs.
Soho just got its swagger back, and weโre bloody here for it.
SEE YOU ON DENMARK STREET, YOU BEAUTIFUL BUNCH OF CHAOS-GOBLINS. ๐ค๐ฅ
First pintโs on usโฆ if itโs Monster.
