Alright prog crew, gather round — this is one for the headphone warriors, the late-night vinyl spinners, and the “just one more 12-minute track before bed” legends 😅
Because Marillion are BACK… and their 21st studio album is nearly finished 🤘
Yeah, you read that right.
TWENTY-ONE albums deep… and still going like a band half their age. Absolute madness.
🎧 STUDIO UPDATE: “WE’RE ALMOST THERE”
After what feels like a proper deep-dive into the creative abyss (as only Marillion can do), the band have dropped a tidy little update for fans:
👉 The new album is in its final stages
👉 Recording and production are basically wrapped
👉 It’s now just a matter of polishing those last lush, prog-soaked details
No official release date yet — but when a band like this says it’s close… it’s CLOSE 👀
🎸 21 ALBUMS… LET THAT SINK IN
Let’s just pause for a second and appreciate this level of commitment:
21 studio albums.
That’s not a discography — that’s a full-on musical saga, butt 📖🔥
From their early neo-prog roots to the massive, emotional, cinematic journeys they’re known for today, Marillion have NEVER stood still. No chasing trends. No selling out. Just pure, evolving artistry.
In a world of quick hits and viral nonsense, these lads are out here crafting proper albums — the kind you sit with, feel, and get lost in.
🌌 WHAT’S COMING? EXPECT THE FULL PROG EXPERIENCE
They’re keeping things mysterious (because of course they are 😏), but let’s be real — we know the drill:
🎹 Big, sweeping keyboards that hit you right in the chest
🎤 Vocals that feel like therapy sessions
🎸 Guitar work that builds, swells, and explodes
🌊 Tracks that take their time… and take you somewhere else entirely
This isn’t background music.
This is put-your-phone-down-and-experience-it music.
🍺 RIFF REPORT TAKE: LEGENDS STILL DOING IT PROPER
There’s something seriously refreshing about a band like Marillion still pushing forward after all these years.
No nostalgia tours pretending it’s still 1985.
No safe, radio-friendly nonsense.
Just a group of musicians going:
👉 “Let’s make something meaningful again.”
And honestly? Fair play. Proper job 👏
🚨 WHY THIS ONE MATTERS
In today’s music world, where albums sometimes feel like playlists stitched together for algorithms…
Marillion dropping album 21 feels like a reminder:
👉 Music can still be an experience
👉 Albums can still tell stories
👉 Bands can still evolve without losing their soul
And that’s something worth getting excited about.
👀 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Now we wait…
🎶 First single?
🎨 Album artwork?
📀 Release date?
You KNOW we’ll be on it faster than someone legging it to the barrier at a festival 🤘🌧️
🤘 FINAL WORD
Marillion aren’t just releasing another album.
They’re adding another chapter to one of the most consistent, passionate, and downright emotional journeys in British rock history.
And if this one hits like we think it will?
👉 We’re in for something proper special, mun 🔥
Are you hyped for album 21, or are you just about to fall down the Marillion rabbit hole for the first time? Either way — welcome to the ride 🤘🎹
