What’s occurring, riff lovers? Strap in, ‘cos Kris Barras has kicked open the doors to a brand-new project — Hollow Souls — and it’s already sounding like a proper job monster. 💀
We’re talking three thunderous debut singles, a self-titled EP coming this autumn, and a 20-date UK tour that’ll take you from Cardiff to Carlisle. So grab your pint, tune up your air guitar, and let’s dive in.
💀 Who Are Hollow Souls?
Forget the polished blues-rock you know from the Kris Barras Band. Hollow Souls was born out of late-night jams at Momentum Studios in Plymouth, with a simple idea: keep it raw, keep it loose, and let the music breathe.
This isn’t a side project, it’s a freedom project. Barras is joined by a cracking line-up:
- Phoebe Jane – stepping out as lead vocalist (and smashing it 💥)
- Josiah J Manning – producing wizardry & keys
- Joe Harris – drums with groove
- Leighton Allen – bass thunder
- Kris Barras – guitar slayer and occasional vocals
It’s blues-rock stripped back to its jam-session soul — no ego, just riffs. Tidy! 🏴
🎶 The Singles: Guest Stars Galore
Hollow Souls haven’t wasted time — they’ve already dropped three singles that slap harder than a Steelhouse bin joust:
- “Borderline” (feat. Jared James Nichols) – Raw, ripping, and recorded in one glorious take.
- “Shotgun” (feat. Jon “Marv” Harvey of Monster Truck) – A stomper with grit, gravel and swagger.
- “Bad Things” (feat. Chris Tapp from The Cold Stares) – Swampy, soulful, and addictive.
Each track ropes in a special guest, adding fresh fire without losing that jam-room chaos.
📀 The Hollow Souls EP
Mark your calendars: October 10, 2025. That’s when Hollow Souls drop their self-titled EP. Six tracks, 10″ vinyl, CD, downloads — the full collector’s spread.
This isn’t studio-perfect polish; it’s groove, grit, and vibe captured on record. And fans are already begging for a full album. 🤯
🗓️ The UK Autumn Tour
Here’s where it gets rowdy: Hollow Souls are heading out on a 20-date UK tour this autumn, bringing slide-guitar wizard Troy Redfern as special guest on every night. Expect duelling solos, sweat-drenched riffs, and pub-room chaos.
