Itโ€™s been another colossal week in the world of rock and metal โ€” and if your wallet was already in tatters from festival season, brace yourself. Because the 2026 touring calendar just went from โ€œbusyโ€ to โ€œutterly insane.โ€

From the haunting theatrics of Ghost to the industrial chaos of Nine Inch Nails, the blues-soaked swagger of Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and nostalgia-packed runs from Glassjaw, Say Anything, and Motion City Soundtrack, thereโ€™s something for every flavour of headbanger.

Grab your tour planner (and maybe a loan application), because here are the 12 biggest rock and metal tours just announced this week.

๐Ÿ‘ป GHOST โ€“ โ€œThe Ritual Continuesโ€ North America 2026

Papa Emeritus and his Nameless Ghouls have announced their return to North America, and honestly, the timing couldnโ€™t be better. Following their apocalyptic Impera world tour, Ghost are promising a โ€œnew chapter of spectacle and sinโ€ โ€” with cryptic teasers hinting that Papa IV might finally give way to a new figure in the unholy bloodline.

Expect cathedrals of light, ritual robes, satanic sermons, and choruses thatโ€™ll have entire arenas chanting like itโ€™s mass on Mars. The tour kicks off in spring 2026, with support rumours pointing toward The Warning and Spiritbox (๐Ÿ‘€).

This is less a concert, more a religious experience โ€” and the congregation is waiting.

โšก NINE INCH NAILS โ€“ The Industrial Storm Returns

Itโ€™s happening. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are firing up the NIN machine once again for their first full North American tour since before the pandemic.

The run is set to hit major arenas throughout 2026, and insiders claim itโ€™ll be a career-spanning set pulling from Pretty Hate Machine all the way to Hesitation Marks. Expect darkness, distortion, and enough strobe lighting to trigger a blackout.

Reznor says heโ€™s โ€œitching to get back on stage,โ€ and if the last tour was any indication โ€” this will be as intense, raw, and beautifully miserable as industrial rock gets.

๐ŸŽธ KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD โ€“ 30 Years of Ledbetter Heights

Three decades after the release of his debut album, Kenny Wayne Shepherd is celebrating Ledbetter Heights with a massive anniversary tour.

This oneโ€™s for the guitar nerds โ€” blistering solos, blues swagger, and a clinic in tone. Each show will revisit the record that launched his career, including tracks like โ€œBorn With a Broken Heartโ€ and โ€œDรฉjร  Voodoo.โ€

Itโ€™s not every day a guitarist gets better with age, but Kennyโ€™s bending notes like he made a deal at the crossroads.

๐ŸŒˆ BRIT FLOYD โ€“ A New Dimension of Floydian Perfection

When it comes to tribute acts, Brit Floyd arenโ€™t just good โ€” theyโ€™re frighteningly good. Their new 2026 tour, A Journey Beyond Time, celebrates both The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall in a stunning two-part production.

Think laser beams slicing through smoke, hypnotic projections, and note-perfect renditions of โ€œComfortably Numbโ€ thatโ€™ll make you swear youโ€™re back in 1979. If youโ€™ve never seen the real Pink Floyd, this is the closest youโ€™ll ever get.

๐ŸŽค COLLECTIVE SOUL โ€“ 30 Years of Shine

These alt-rock survivors refuse to fade away. Collective Soul have announced their 2026 North American run, celebrating 30 years of Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid.

Expect a mix of classics like โ€œDecember,โ€ โ€œHeavy,โ€ and of course, โ€œShineโ€ โ€” a song that somehow still sounds fresh blaring through summer festival speakers. The tour also comes with whispers of new material on the horizon.

Sometimes, all you need is a solid groove and a southern twang.

๐Ÿ’” GLASSJAW / SAVES THE DAY โ€“ Co-Headline Nostalgia Riot

If you were an eyeliner-wearing, Vans-scuffing, Warped Tour warrior in the early 2000s, you might want to sit down.

Glassjaw and Saves the Day are teaming up for a joint headline run โ€” and itโ€™s basically a nostalgia-fuelled time machine straight to your high school MySpace page. Expect high-energy sets, sweaty singalongs, and a crowd that knows every lyric to โ€œStay What You Are.โ€

๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ DAVE HAUSE & THE MERMAID โ€“ Punk Rock Storytelling

The heart-on-sleeve punk poet Dave Hause is heading back on the road with his band The Mermaid. Expect the kind of shows where youโ€™ll be clutching a pint in one hand and a tear in your eye.

Songs like โ€œThe Ditch,โ€ โ€œSaboteurs,โ€ and โ€œBury Me in Phillyโ€ hit differently in a live room full of voices screaming them back. Punk with soul, sweat, and a beating heart.

๐ŸŽฎ MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK / SAY ANYTHING โ€“ Pop-Punk Heaven

Itโ€™s the reunion tour we didnโ€™t know we needed. Motion City Soundtrack and Say Anything are joining forces for a co-headline 2026 run, and the internetโ€™s already losing it.

Between Commit This to Memory and โ€ฆIs a Real Boy, youโ€™ve got two albums that defined an entire generation of awkward, over-caffeinated teens. Expect broken voices, emotional breakdowns, and the occasional mid-song therapy session.

Grab your eyeliner. Charge your iPod. Itโ€™s 2006 again.

๐Ÿฆ‡ NORMA JEAN โ€“ The Metalcore Revival

The southern-fried chaos merchants Norma Jean are back and heavier than ever. Their new album drops early 2026, and this accompanying headline tour promises complete carnage.

Known for their intense live shows and brutal breakdowns, expect sweaty clubs, stage dives, and at least one broken mic stand per night. Metalcore isnโ€™t dead โ€” itโ€™s just evolved.

๐Ÿš€ ONE MORE SATELLITE โ€“ New Band, Big Ambition

Up-and-coming alt-rockers One More Satellite have announced their debut national tour, and early buzz is hot.

Their sound sits somewhere between Foo Fighters and Royal Blood โ€” punchy, melodic, and loaded with riffs. This might be your last chance to catch them in small venues before they blow up big time.

๐Ÿ” RICKSHAW BILLIEโ€™S BURGER PATROL โ€“ The Fuzz Lords Ride Again

Austinโ€™s most ridiculous (and most brilliant) fuzz-rock trio are back. Rickshaw Billieโ€™s Burger Patrol have announced their 2026 US run, bringing their face-melting grooves and tongue-in-cheek humour back to the road.

Imagine Clutch meets Tenacious D with more distortion โ€” and maybe a burger costume. Yes, itโ€™s that good.

๐Ÿง™โ€โ™‚๏ธ YES โ€“ Progressive Legends Never Stop

Prog gods Yes refuse to quit. Their latest run, titled Journey Through Time, will hit Europe and North America in 2026, celebrating their sprawling catalogue from Close to the Edge to The Quest.

Steve Howeโ€™s guitar work remains otherworldly, and the setlist promises longform odysseys and cosmic visuals. Itโ€™s prog heaven โ€” or a three-hour endurance test, depending on your stamina.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ WRAP-UP: 2026 IS GOING TO BE ABSOLUTE MAYHEM

From the ritual flames of Ghost to the industrial fury of Nine Inch Nails, from the blues genius of Kenny Wayne Shepherd to the pop-punk chaos of Say Anything, the next 12 months of rock are stacked.

Fans will be spoiled for choice, wallets will cry, and Ticketmasterโ€™s servers might actually combust.

Soโ€ฆ who are you seeing first?

Sound off in the comments below and tell us which tour has you smashing that โ€œbuy ticketsโ€ button faster than a drummer hitting double bass.

Michael

Michael

๐ŸŽธ About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise โ€” it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publicationโ€™s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist โ€” sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
