Alright, gather round the bar, top up your pint, and brace yourselves — because Jenny Colquitt is about to drop something that hits harder than a late-night kebab after a gig…
Her brand new single ‘Peace Man’ lands at midnight on Friday 3rd April 2026, and if the early whispers are anything to go by… this one’s not just a song — it’s a story with bite 😈
🎤 WHAT’S THE CRACK WITH ‘PEACE MAN’?
This isn’t your typical sit-down-with-a-cup-of-tea acoustic number, oh no…
‘Peace Man’ is described as:
- 🎸 Acoustic-led… but packing a full-band punch
- 🎢 Full of twists, turns, and emotional gut-punches
- 😤 Built on a real-life story — and not a pretty one
The track dives into a messy, uncomfortable situation experienced by someone close to Jenny’s family. We’re talking:
- Faith 🙏
- Love ❤️
- Grief 💔
- Manipulation 😬
…and then flips it all on its head with a bit of dark humour and a proper “don’t mess with me” energy.
This ain’t background music, mun — this is the kind of tune that grabs you by the collar and says, “listen up.”
🔥 A VOICE THAT HITS DIFFERENT
Don’t just take our word for it either…
Even Paul Sexton over at BBC Radio 2 has been singing her praises:
“Very much recommended, for her strong and expressive voice, impactful lyrics and winning melodies”
And look — when Radio 2 starts nodding along, you know there’s something cooking.
💿 THE ALBUM: POCKETS FULL OF RAIN
‘Peace Man’ is just the opening swing from the upcoming album:
🌧️ Pockets Full of Rain — out Friday 1st May 2026
If the single is anything to go by, this album’s shaping up to be:
- Emotional 🌧️
- Honest 💬
- Packed with storytelling that actually means something
Proper “listen front to back with headphones on” material, that.
🎟️ UK TOUR — SMALL ROOMS, BIG FEELS
And here’s where it gets tasty…
Jenny’s hitting the road for a May/June UK tour, and she’s keeping it intimate — the kind of venues where you can feel every lyric and hear every string squeak.
📍 TOUR DATES:
- Chester – St Mary’s Creative Space (May 8)
- Bury – The Met (May 9)
- Birmingham – Hare & Hounds (May 21)
- Milton Keynes – Stables 2 (May 22)
- Guildford – The Star Inn (May 23)
- Liverpool – Philharmonic Music Room (May 30)
- York – The Fulford Arms (June 10)
- Sheffield – The Greystones (June 11)
💸 Tickets: Around £12 + booking fee (absolute bargain, let’s be honest)
This is the sort of tour where you discover an artist properly — not through your phone, but in the room, pint in hand, nodding along like “yeah… this is class.”
🤘 RIFF REPORT VERDICT
Look, we cover a lot of heavy stuff here — riffs, breakdowns, pits, chaos…
But every now and then, something like this rolls in and reminds you that power doesn’t always come from distortion pedals.
Sometimes it comes from:
- A voice that cuts through
- A story that actually matters
- And a tune that sticks with you long after last orders
Jenny Colquitt’s ‘Peace Man’ sounds like it’s bringing all three.
👉 Keep your eyes (and ears) locked on 3rd April — this one could sneak up and properly land.
