South Wales, prepare yourselves. The lights are going down, the riffs are getting heavier, and something wicked is heading straight for The Patriot in Crumlin.
Welsh alt-metal bruisers Black Lakes have announced A Halloween Haunting, taking place on 30th October at one of South Wales’ most beloved rock venues.
And honestly, butt… this has got “absolute carnage” written all over it. 🔥
👻 A NIGHT OF RIFFS, SHADOWS AND PURE WELSH METAL CHAOS
Black Lakes have built a reputation for delivering powerful, emotionally charged modern metal packed with crushing guitars, huge choruses and enough atmosphere to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
Now throw all of that into a Halloween setting.
Dark venue.
Heavy riffs.
Possibly questionable costumes.
Definitely a few pints.
Almost certainly someone dressed as Ozzy.
Lovely stuff. 🎃
The band’s intense live sound feels tailor-made for a Halloween show. Their music carries that perfect mix of melody, aggression and brooding darkness, making The Patriot an ideal setting for a night that promises to be part gig, part gathering of the undead and part full-blown Welsh metal party.
🖤 BLACK LAKES CONTINUE TO FLY THE FLAG FOR WELSH METAL
Black Lakes have become one of the most exciting names in the Welsh heavy music scene, earning attention for their powerful songwriting and commanding live performances.
This is a band that knows how to hit hard without losing the emotion behind the music. Their songs are packed with towering riffs, massive vocal moments and the sort of choruses that sound even bigger when an entire room is screaming them back.
They have continued to prove that Wales is producing some of the strongest rock and metal talent around right now.
And let’s be honest, we love to see it.
Welsh bands. Welsh venues. Loud guitars.
Proper job. 🐉🤘
🏚️ THE PERFECT VENUE FOR A HALLOWEEN HAUNTING
Anyone familiar with The Patriot will know that it is far more than just another venue.
It is a proper home for rock and metal fans, supporting live music and giving both established acts and rising bands a stage to tear apart.
With its intimate atmosphere and passionate crowd, The Patriot has become an essential stop for bands travelling through South Wales.
For a Halloween gig, it is difficult to imagine a better setting.
The venue will no doubt be packed with leather jackets, battle vests, spooky costumes and metalheads ready to throw horns until their arms stop working.
There might even be a ghost knocking about.
Although, knowing The Patriot, it will probably just be someone trying to find the smoking area after three pints. 🍺
