Right then… strap in, crack open a can, and prepare to leave reality at the door, because French psychedelic riff merchants SLIFT are back — and they’re bringing the chaos across the globe, butt.
With their brand new album Fantasia landing on June 5, the Toulouse trio have just unleashed plans for a massive North America, Europe, and UK tour — and honestly? This one smells like sweat, fuzz pedals, and absolute mind-bending carnage.
🌍 “ONE LOVE FOR THE WORLD!” — AND A WHOLE LOT OF NOISE
In true SLIFT fashion, the announcement came with a message that sounds like it was beamed in from another dimension:
“As reality collapses, we’ll be touring the US and Europa next fall!”
Casual. Just your standard “the world is ending, let’s play riffs about it” energy. Love that.
They’ve also confirmed tickets go on sale Friday April 24 at 10AM local time — so if you fancy having your brain scrambled by cosmic distortion, you’d better be quick on the draw.
🚀 WHO ARE SLIFT (AND WHY ARE THEY SO LOUD)?
If you’ve never fallen down the SLIFT rabbit hole before, here’s the deal:
🎸 Jean Fossat – vocals / guitar
🎸 Rémi Fossat – bass / vocals
🥁 Canek Flores – drums
These lads don’t just play music — they summon it. Imagine Black Sabbath drifting through space while Hawkwind smash into a meteor made of fuzz pedals… that’s SLIFT.
Their sound is heavy, hypnotic, trippy, and absolutely relentless live. The kind of band that makes you forget where you are halfway through a set and suddenly realise you’ve been staring at a speaker stack for 20 minutes. Proper job.
