German hard rock legends SCORPIONS are preparing to return to the UK and Ireland in summer 2027 with their Love, Peace & Rock โnโ Roll Tour, and they’re bringing some seriously impressive company.
Joining them as special guests will be Swedish rock icons EUROPE, setting up a spectacular double helping of classic rock anthems, soaring guitar solos and enormous singalong choruses.
That’s right, rock fans.
SCORPIONS AND EUROPE. ON THE SAME BILL. IN 2027! ๐ค
For anyone raised on the golden age of hard rock, this is the sort of announcement that makes you immediately start checking your calendar, your bank balance and whether your favourite old tour T-shirt still fits.
Between them, these two European rock powerhouses have delivered some of the most recognisable songs in rock history.
We’re talking โRock You Like A Hurricaneโ, โWind Of Changeโ, โStill Loving Youโ, โThe Final Countdownโ, โCarrieโ and โRock The Nightโ.
And with both bands boasting decades of international touring experience, audiences can expect a celebration of classic hard rock.
The tour also represents another chapter in the extraordinary career of Scorpions, whose influence stretches across generations of rock and heavy metal musicians.
๐ฆ Scorpions โ Germany’s Hard Rock Giants
Few bands have played such an important role in bringing European hard rock to a worldwide audience as Scorpions.
Formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker, the group gradually developed from their early psychedelic and progressive influences into one of the most successful hard rock bands of their generation.
Their breakthrough came through a combination of relentless touring, increasingly confident songwriting and an unmistakable musical identity.
At the centre of that identity is vocalist Klaus Meine, whose distinctive voice has powered some of the band’s greatest recordings.
From thunderous guitar-driven anthems to emotional power ballads, Scorpions have demonstrated an extraordinary ability to combine musical aggression with melody.
And while their commercial success exploded during the 1980s, their influence stretches much further back.
The Scorpions Albums Every Rock Fan Should Know
Lovedrive (1979)
A pivotal release in the band’s development, Lovedrive helped establish the melodic hard rock sound that would define their international success.
Featuring songs including โLoving You Sunday Morningโ and โHolidayโ, the album remains a fan favourite.
Blackout (1982)
One of the band’s most celebrated records, Blackout delivered a powerful collection of hard rock songs.
The title track, โNo One Like Youโ and โDynamiteโ helped strengthen their reputation as an international force.
Love At First Sting (1984)
Featuring the legendary โRock You Like A Hurricaneโ, this album became one of the defining hard rock releases of the decade.
It also included the emotional classic โStill Loving Youโ.
Crazy World (1990)
Released during a period of enormous political and cultural change in Europe, Crazy World featured the global anthem โWind Of Changeโ.
The song became closely associated with the end of the Cold War and the transformation of Europe.
Rock Believer (2022)
Their nineteenth studio album demonstrated that Scorpions still had an appetite for energetic guitar-driven rock.
The record combined the band’s familiar melodic style with a modern production approach.
๐ค Scorpions โ The Musicians Behind The Music
The band’s established modern line-up features:
- Klaus Meine โ lead vocals
- Rudolf Schenker โ rhythm and lead guitar
- Matthias Jabs โ lead and rhythm guitar
- Paweล Mฤ ciwoda โ bass guitar
- Mikkey Dee โ drums
Mikkey Dee will be particularly familiar to heavy metal fans through his years performing with the legendary Motรถrhead.
His powerful drumming style has added another dimension to Scorpions’ live sound.
With Schenker, Jabs and Meine providing the band’s instantly recognisable musical identity, the group continue to celebrate an extraordinary legacy.
