German rock legends Scorpions have postponed their upcoming Las Vegas residency, moving the entire run from September and October 2026 to September 2027 due to what organisers have described as “unforeseen circumstances”.

Well, this is a proper kick in the leather trousers for Scorpions fans who were already packing their bags for Sin City. 🎰🎸

Scorpions were preparing to return to PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino this September for another massive dose of Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You, The Zoo and enough classic-rock ammunition to flatten half the Las Vegas Strip.

Instead, fans will now have to wait another year.

Live Nation Las Vegas confirmed on Wednesday 2 September that the band’s forthcoming shows have been postponed, with the residency now scheduled to take place in September 2027.

🚨 Scorpions Confirm Las Vegas Postponement

The announcement explained that the shows had to be moved because of “unforeseen circumstances”, with the band said to be extremely disappointed by the situation.

No more detailed reason for the postponement has currently been announced.

The good news — and it’s an important one — is that these concerts haven’t been completely binned.

They’re being rescheduled.

So Vegas will still eventually be getting rocked like a hurricane. 🌪️🤘

The band’s statement said:

“Scorpions regret to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, their upcoming September shows in Las Vegas will need to be postponed.”

They added that the band are extremely disappointed but are looking forward to returning to Las Vegas in September 2027.

🎰 The New Scorpions Las Vegas Dates

The rescheduled Coming Home To Las Vegas residency is currently set for:

  • 9 September 2027
  • 11 September 2027
  • 14 September 2027
  • 16 September 2027
  • 18 September 2027
  • 21 September 2027
  • 23 September 2027
  • 25 September 2027

That’s eight nights of Scorpions madness heading for Planet Hollywood next year.

The original residency had been scheduled to run from 17 September through 3 October 2026, with Buckcherry joining Scorpions as special guests.

The residency was promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment and would have continued the band’s increasingly strong relationship with Las Vegas.

🤘 Scorpions And Vegas Go Way Back

Scorpions aren’t exactly strangers to Planet Hollywood.

The German rock giants have already completed several successful Las Vegas runs, including:

Sin City Nights – 2022

Love At First Sting Las Vegas – 2024

Coming Home To Las Vegas 60th Anniversary Residency – 2025

Their planned 2026 residency was supposed to bring them back once again as the band continued celebrating more than 60 years of Scorpions.

And let’s be fair, six decades into a career, selling out Las Vegas residencies isn’t a bad way to spend your retirement years.

Some people take up gardening.

Scorpions are still blasting Rock You Like A Hurricane through enormous PA systems.

We know which option we’d choose. 🤘😂

🇪🇺 BUT WAIT… THERE’S SOME VERY INTERESTING NEWS FOR EUROPE

Buried within the postponement announcement was one sentence that immediately made our ears prick up here at Riff Report HQ.

Scorpions are planning European shows for 2027. 👀🔥

The band confirmed that they’re currently working on a number of European dates as they continue their huge:

Coming Home – 60 Years Of Scorpions Tour

Details are expected to be announced at a later date.

And naturally that leaves us with one enormous question…

🇬🇧 Could Scorpions be heading back to the UK in 2027?

Nothing has been confirmed at the time of writing, so we’re absolutely not getting ahead of ourselves here.

But the confirmation that European shows are being planned means UK Scorpions fans might want to keep one eye firmly on future announcements.

Cardiff, anyone?

Go on lads.

Wales loves a hurricane. 🌪️🐉😂

🎸 More Than 60 Years Of Scorpions

Formed in Hannover in 1965, Scorpions have become one of the most recognisable names in hard-rock history.

Across an extraordinary career spanning more than six decades, they’ve produced an arsenal of rock classics including:

🎵 Rock You Like A Hurricane
🎵 Wind Of Change
🎵 Still Loving You
🎵 Send Me An Angel
🎵 No One Like You
🎵 The Zoo
🎵 Big City Nights

Their career has carried them from clubs in Germany to arenas, stadiums and festival stages around the planet.

And despite being more than 60 years into this ridiculous rock ‘n’ roll adventure, Scorpions remain very much active.

Their latest studio album, Rock Believer, arrived in 2022, while their anniversary celebrations have continued to underline just how enormous the band’s legacy remains.

🦂 THE RIFF REPORT VERDICT

Obviously, it’s disappointing news for anyone who had already planned a September trip to Las Vegas.

Flights, hotels and concert tickets aren’t exactly pocket change, and fans travelling internationally could now face the headache of rearranging an entire holiday.

But the important word here is postponed, rather than cancelled.

Scorpions fully intend to return to Las Vegas in September 2027, meaning Sin City should eventually get its long-awaited dose of German hard-rock thunder.

And then there’s that little European-tour tease.

Now THAT has our attention. 👀

If those 2027 European plans eventually include Britain, expect a lot of ageing denim jackets to be dragged triumphantly out of wardrobes across the country.

Because more than six decades after Scorpions first plugged in…

there’s still no one quite like them. 🦂🤘🔥

Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. Zero Apologies. 🐉🤘
