Oh aye, mun – if you thought Stereophonics were just popping into Cardiff for a quick sing-song and a pint down the chippy, think again! The boys from Cwmaman have just dropped a bombshell tour announcement that’s got us all shouting “YESS MUN!” at the top of our lungs (probably into a pint of Brains). 🍻🎤
Just days before their hotly anticipated Principality Stadium gigs – a proper homecoming of heroic proportions – Kelly Jones and the crew have revealed they’ll be hitting the road again this December 2025 for a brand new UK Arena Tour. 🎄🔥
🗓️ THE 2025 ARENA TOUR – DATES & DESTINATIONS
Get your calendars out, tidy up your coat from the back of the cupboard, and brace yourself for a cold winter warmed up by big riffs, even bigger choruses, and some proper Welsh soul. Here’s where the Stereophonics will be bringing the thunder:
📍 Nottingham – Motorpoint Arena
📍 Newcastle – Utilita Arena
📍 Sheffield – Utilita Arena
📍 Aberdeen – P&J Live
📍 Glasgow – OVO Hydro
📍 Manchester – AO Arena
📍 Birmingham – Resorts World Arena
📍 Liverpool – M&S Bank Arena
📍 London – The O2 Arena
And let’s not forget, of course, the mighty double-header at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium this summer, which’ll likely leave the foundations of the Taff rumbling until Christmas! 🏟️🌉
🎤 A BAND STILL FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS
If you’ve been under a rock (or possibly just out of signal in the Brecon Beacons), you might not realise how blistering the Stereophonics’ last few years have been. From their hugely underrated 2022 album Oochya! 🚀 to the nostalgic ‘Just Enough Education to Perform’ anniversary tour, the band are proving time and time again that they’ve still got the fire, the passion, and the punch to headline the UK’s biggest stages.
Kelly’s voice? As smoky and smooth as ever.
The band? Tight as your nan’s jam jar lid.
The crowds? Mad for it. 😍
And now? There are strong rumours flying about (don’t quote us, but DO start screaming) that brand new music might be dropping before the December tour. One roadie was overheard muttering something about “fresh bangers” while tuning a guitar backstage in Newport, so do with that what you will. 👀🎶
🕺 THE PRINCIPALITY SHOWS: A LOVE LETTER TO WALES
The upcoming Cardiff shows are already shaping up to be the stuff of Welsh legend – think Tom Jones meets a Six Nations final meets a rock’n’roll fireworks display. Expect confetti. Expect grown men crying into pints of Carling. Expect “Have a Nice Day” being belted out louder than a Ponty rugby club at karaoke. 🎆🎶
You can bet the setlist will be packed with the classics:
🎵 “Local Boy in the Photograph”
🎵 “Maybe Tomorrow”
🎵 “A Thousand Trees”
🎵 “Bartender and the Thief”
🎵 “Mr. Writer”
🎵 And of course… “Dakota” – the unofficial national anthem of anyone who’s ever sat on a rainy train out of Bridgend. 🚆🌧️
Only in Wales, mun… only in Wales. 🏴
🎟️ TICKETS – DON’T BE TAMPING IF YOU MISS OUT!
You’ve been warned – these arena shows will sell out faster than sausage rolls at Greggs during lunchtime in Treorchy. If you don’t act fast, you’ll be left outside, ear pressed to the arena wall like some tragic character in a Welsh indie film.
🎫 Pre-sale and general sale dates will be confirmed shortly, but word on the street is the official announcement will hit before the Cardiff shows kick off – possibly even mid-gig! Can you imagine Kelly Jones yelling “Check your phones – we’re comin’ to Manchester!” mid-riff? Pure class.
So stay tuned to the band’s socials, sign up to every mailing list going, and maybe even sacrifice a leek to the gods of rock for luck. 🧅⚡
💬 FANS ARE ALREADY LOSING IT
Here’s just a taste of the social media chaos that followed the announcement:
“Kelly, you beautiful bard, take my money again. See you in Sheffield AND Cardiff. Lush.” – @ValleysGirl92
“Aberdeen? C’mon butt, I’m hiking there in the snow if I have to!” – @JonesyOnTour
“If they don’t play Mr. Writer in Liverpool, I’ll be tamping.” – @WrexhamRocker
“Booked Glasgow, got the Friday off work, packed the flag. Let’s gooooooo!” – @TidyBoy1987
🧢 FROM THE CWM TO THE COLISEUMS
The Stereophonics are proof that Welsh rock doesn’t just live – it roars. From the working men’s clubs of the Valleys to headlining the UK’s biggest stadiums and arenas, they’ve carried Cymru on their backs with guitars slung low and lyrics that bite, bleed, and make you belt your lungs out. ❤️🔥
December’s arena tour is shaping up to be a massive Christmas celebration for fans across the UK. So grab your tickets, grab your scarf, and get ready to shout “TIDY!” at the top of your lungs.
