From pub blags to stadium anthems — these were the nights that changed lives, rewrote rock history, and screamed “MAD FOR IT!” louder than a lad in a parka.
🏁 1. King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut – Glasgow, May 1, 1993
👥 Crowd: ~60
This is where it all began. Noel blagged the band onto the bill, Alan McGee stumbled in, and BOOM – a record deal was born.
“We walked in nobodies and walked out rock stars. Well, nearly.”
Noel had the tunes. Liam had the attitude. And Glasgow got a front-row seat to history.
🎤 “We were skint. But we were mad for it.”
🌧️ 2. Glastonbury Festival – Pilton, June 26, 1994
👥 Crowd: ~40,000
Just a year later, Oasis smashed the NME Stage at Glasto. No fireworks, no fancy lights — just raw Britpop glory and that swagger.
🎶 “Live Forever” echoed across Somerset like a prophecy.
“It was wet. It was wild. And it was bloody brilliant.” – Someone’s soggy Doc Martens
🛍️ Union Jack bucket hats everywhere. LADS ON TOUR ENERGY.
🇺🇸 3. Whisky A Go-Go – LA, September 29, 1994
👥 Crowd: ~500
Oasis landed in the US… and promptly exploded. Fights, tantrums, Noel disappearing for days — it was rock ’n’ roll chaos at its finest.
🥊 Liam messed with Noel’s vocals. Noel nearly quit. Fans didn’t know what hit them.
“The Yanks didn’t get us. And we didn’t care.”
🔥 “Proper mad fer it. Just needed subtitles.”
🎪 4. Glastonbury Festival – Pilton, June 23, 1995
👥 Crowd: ~80,000
This was it. Headline slot. Pyramid Stage. Peak Britpop.
The band dropped anthem after anthem — Roll With It, Cigarettes & Alcohol, Live Forever — pure magic.
🎤 Liam wore the Union Jack top.
🎸 Noel grinned like a king.
“Felt like the whole world was singing along.”
💥 “Glasto? We owned it, mate.”
⚽ 5. Maine Road – Manchester, April 27–28, 1996
👥 Crowd: ~40,000 per night
Back home in Manny, playing at Man City’s turf. You could practically hear the Gallagher pride from space.
🎶 Acquiesce. Morning Glory. Don’t Look Back In Anger.
“It rained, we raged, and the North roared back.”
💙 “Maine Road was our cathedral, innit.”
🏴 6. Loch Lomond – August 3–4, 1996
👥 Crowd: ~80,000
Oasis brought the chaos to Scotland with two iconic lakeside gigs. Mud, mountains, and madness.
“It felt like Knebworth in tartan.”
The bagpipes didn’t show up, but Wonderwall sure did. And it sounded epic across the loch.
🔥 “Gie it laldy!” – Every Scottish Oasis fan ever
👑 7. Knebworth – August 10–11, 1996
👥 Crowd: 125,000 per night
“THIS. WAS. THE. ONE.”
250,000 people. Helicopters. Golden sunshine. A cultural reset. Oasis at absolute peak powers.
“We were the last great British rock ’n’ roll band to do that.” – Noel
🎆 The lights. The roar. The fookin’ songs.
“There were people shagging in the crowd. That’s how mental it was.” – Someone’s dad
👕 “Knebworth ’96. You had to be there, or just pretend you were forever.”
🎄 8. G-Mex Centre – Manchester, December 13–14, 1997
👥 Crowd: ~16,000
Post-Knebworth, Oasis dialled it down… but only slightly. G-Mex was indoors, but the Be Here Now madness was in full swing.
📢 Cocaine, cars on stage, and chaos.
“Louder than a jet engine and twice as fast.”
🌪️ “We were still mad for it. Just slightly more knackered.”
🏟️ 9. Wembley Stadium – July 21–22, 2000
👥 Crowd: 70,000 per night
One of the last big shows at Old Wembley. And it was massive.
Liam spat venom. Noel looked like he’d rather be fishing. But the fans? Buzzing, mun.
“It was loud, loose, and legendary.”
They ended with I Am The Walrus. Naturally. 🥚🐦
👔 “Corporate gig my arse. We smashed it.”
🎇 10. Barrowlands – Glasgow, October 13–14, 2001
👥 Crowd: ~2,000 per night
Back to the sweat and beer-soaked floors of the mighty Barrowlands. An intimate two-night riot.
Noel back in the groove. Liam snarling like a lion in a tracksuit.
🧨 “The energy was pure Glasgow chaos.”
“Sounded like they’d never left the pub.” – Some lad with a Buckfast
🇦🇷 11. River Plate – Buenos Aires, May 3, 2009
👥 Crowd: ~50,000
One of their final big gigs before the Paris fruit bowl punch-up that ended Oasis. And what a way to go out.
⚡ The Argentine crowd sang louder than the band.
🔥 Flares lit the sky. People wept during Slide Away.
“This wasn’t a concert. It was church.”
💔 “We didn’t know it’d be the end. But it felt like a goodbye.”
🎤 FINAL CHORD:
From King Tut’s to Knebworth, Oasis were the loudmouth, loutish, lyrical legends we didn’t know we needed. They were mad for it, they were brilliant, and they changed lives — whether in muddy fields, packed stadiums, or sweaty little venues with broken monitors.
Oasis didn’t just play gigs. They caused absolute mayhem — and we loved every bloody minute. 💥
👊 WHICH GIG WOULD YOU TIME TRAVEL TO?
Drop it in the comments, ya cheeky lot!
Diolch and long live the lads from Burnage! 🧡🏴☠️
