Tidy philosophy for life, innit?
Alright butt, gather round the merch pile — it’s time for a public service announcement from The Riff Report:
Metalheads AND Rockers do NOT age.
We simply respawn with more black T-shirts, more leather jackets, more gig scars, and a collection of tour laminates that would make a museum curator weep with jealousy.
If you’ve ever woken up, looked in the mirror and thought,
“I’m not older… I’m just more vintage rock,”
Congrats. You’re in the club. Proper job.
🖤 THE ETERNAL CIRCLE OF ROCK ’N’ METAL LIFE
Birth ➝ Hear a riff ➝ Wear black ➝ Headbang ➝ Get older ➝ Wear even more black ➝ Tell someone “rock isn’t dead” ➝ Repeat until Valhalla calls.
Both Rockers and Metalheads know the truth:
We don’t age — the world just struggles to keep up.
⚡ WHY ROCKERS & METALHEADS NEVER AGE
1️⃣ Leather = Armour of Immortality
A rocker in a leather jacket can’t age.
Science can’t explain it.
We can’t explain it.
But it’s true.
Slap some patches on that beauty and boom — instant +10 vitality.
2️⃣ Gigging Is Our Cardio
Why pay for a gym membership when you’ve got:
- 2 hours of moshing
- 6000 steps to the bar
- 300 jump-scares from pyros going off unexpectedly
- A sprint to the merch tent before sizes run out
Fit as anything, mun.
3️⃣ Our Wrinkles Are Just…
Crow’s feet? Nah.
Those are laugh lines from years of shouting “ENCORE!”
Forehead lines? Nah.
Battle scars from squinting at festival timetables in sideways rain.
Back pain?
Look, carrying 40 years of riffs is heavy work, alright?
👕 THE T-SHIRT PHENOMENON: ROCKERS & METALHEADS UNITED
Every rocker hits the same moment metalheads do:
The “I don’t need any more T-shirts” LIE.
But then a stall appears…
The lights go dim…
A limited-edition tour tee whispers your name like a demon in the wind…
Next thing you know you’re walking away with:
- 3 black shirts
- A hoodie
- A patch you’ll definitely sew on someday
- And a tote bag you’ll forget exists
The sacred tiers of black T-shirts:
- Gig shirt
- Work shirt no one knows is my gig shirt
- Another gig shirt
- My formal black shirt for weddings and funerals
- Vintage shirt that must never be washed or touched
- “I’ll be buried in this” shirt
Rockers and metalheads share the same wardrobe:
A void of pure darkness that absorbs all sunlight.
Beautiful.
🎸 THE WISDOM OF THE ROCK ELDERS
Rock fans in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s:
Still screaming lyrics.
Still throwing devil horns.
Still complaining that beer “used to be cheaper at gigs”.
Still telling younger fans stories starting with,
“I saw them back in ’88, mun…”
Age? Never heard of her.
🤘 FINAL WORD
Next time someone asks,
“Aren’t you getting a bit old for all that rock and metal stuff?”
Give them your best side-eye, buff your invisible crown of riffs, and say:
“Rockers and Metalheads don’t age, butt — we just get louder.”
Throw on your favourite black tee, turn the volume up until the windows tremble, and live forever one riff at a time.
Rock on, mun! 😎🖤🔥🤘
