If youโve ever wondered what pure, unfiltered metal chaos looks like from orbitโฆ here it is, butt! ๐ฐ๏ธ The mighty Hellfest in Clisson, France โ the Mecca of metalheads, the cathedral of riffs, and possibly the loudest field on Earth โ captured in all its glory on Google Maps.

From above, it looks like a small city built entirely for mayhem โ and thatโs basically what it is. You can spot the Mainstages I & II, the Warzone (where circle pits are legally considered a cardio workout), and the Temple & Altar stages, home to the black and death metal faithful who probably havenโt seen daylight since Slayer retired.
๐ช The Layout Is a Work of Art:
Hellfestโs site isnโt just a festival โ itโs an architectural masterpiece of distortion and debauchery. Every cornerโs got something wild going on: flame cannons, massive skull gates, giant statues, a freakinโ metal chapel, and more beer taps than a small Welsh village. ๐บ
๐ธ A City of Sound and Sin:
During festival week, Clissonโs population explodes from around 7,000 to over 200,000. Imagine that โ a quiet French wine town suddenly invaded by the worldโs loudest family reunion. You can literally see the chaos from space โ stages lined up like warships, camps sprawling like an army encampment, and a haze thatโs 50% dust, 50% BBQ smoke, and 100% rock โnโ roll spirit.
๐ฅ Hellfest 2026 Is Already Shaping Up to Be Biblical:
Every year they somehow outdo themselves โ from Metallica to Ghost, Iron Maiden to Gojira, no one brings the fire (literally and figuratively) like Hellfest. The Google Maps view is the calm before the storm โ soon that peaceful little town will be a sonic apocalypse again.
