A full orchestra. A huge choir. Rock and metal classics. And enough pyro to make the front row feel the heat. The Rock Orchestra is bringing its spectacular new production, Arena of Fire, to Utilita Arena for one night only on 23 October. 🤘🔥

After performing to more than half a million fans around the world and scoring a Number One rock album, The Rock Orchestra is preparing to take things to another level with a massive new arena production.

Arena of Fire will combine the power of a full orchestra and choir with legendary rock anthems, theatrical staging and large-scale pyrotechnics in an ambitious two-hour show.

And judging by the songs already confirmed, this could be an absolute belter.

🎻 When Rock Meets the Orchestra

The idea behind The Rock Orchestra is brilliantly simple: take some of the biggest songs ever written in rock and metal and give them the full orchestral treatment.

We’re not talking about quietly sitting through a few strings while somebody politely taps a triangle at the back, either.

This is designed to be a proper rock show.

The upcoming Arena of Fire production will feature orchestral interpretations of massive tracks including Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters, Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life and The Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black.

Music from AC/DC, System of a Down and Iron Maiden will also feature during the two-hour performance.

That’s a pretty wild musical combination.

Metallica followed by Evanescence?

System of a Down performed by an orchestra?

Iron Maiden backed by strings and a choir?

Go on then, mun. 🤘

🔥 Welcome to the ‘Arena of Fire’

The name isn’t just for show.

Alongside the musicians and choir, Arena of Fire will feature large-scale pyrotechnics, transforming the concert into a full theatrical production.

Rock and metal have never exactly been shy when it comes to putting on a spectacle, and adding pyro to an orchestra performing some of the genre’s biggest songs sounds like a recipe for glorious chaos.

Imagine the atmosphere when the opening notes of Nothing Else Matters echo around the arena.

Or the enormous chorus of Bring Me To Life backed by an orchestra and choir.

Then throw some AC/DC and Iron Maiden into the equation while flames erupt around the stage.

Suddenly your traditional image of an orchestra has disappeared completely.

🌍 More Than 500,000 Fans Worldwide

The Rock Orchestra has already proved there’s a huge appetite for its unusual combination of classical musicianship and rock music.

The production has performed to more than 500,000 fans globally, introducing audiences around the world to orchestral versions of familiar rock and metal favourites.

Its success has also extended beyond the live stage, with an album going straight to Number One in the rock charts.

Arena of Fire now looks set to build on that momentum with an even bigger production created for the arena environment.

🤘 Rock Classics Like You’ve Never Heard Them Before

Part of the appeal is hearing songs you’ve potentially known for decades transformed into something completely different.

Rock and classical music actually have far more in common than you might initially think.

Both thrive on drama.

Both can build from quiet moments into enormous crescendos.

Both can create atmosphere, tension and emotion.

And let’s face it, some metal riffs already sound like they were written to be performed by an orchestra.

The Rock Orchestra takes those ingredients and throws them together on one enormous stage.

For lifelong rock fans, it’s an opportunity to rediscover classic songs.

For people who might normally attend orchestral concerts, it’s a rather explosive introduction to the world of rock and metal.

And for everyone sitting somewhere in the middle?

Well, there’s fire.

Lots of fire.

🎸 The Riff Report Says…

We’ve seen plenty of rock bands bring orchestras into the equation over the years, and when it’s done properly, the results can be absolutely massive.

But Arena of Fire flips the whole idea around.

Instead of a rock band adding an orchestra, this is an orchestra diving headfirst into the world of rock and metal.

Metallica.

Evanescence.

AC/DC.

System of a Down.

Iron Maiden.

A full orchestra.

A choir.

And huge bloody flames.

What’s not to love?

The Rock Orchestra’s Arena of Fire arrives at Utilita Arena on 23 October, promising two hours of orchestral rock madness and a very different way of experiencing some of the greatest anthems in the genre.

Get the strings tuned.

Get the horns ready.

And somebody check the fire extinguishers.

This one’s going to get hot. 🔥🤘
