Saturday at Bloodstock is where things get properly serious.

The campsite has stopped pretending anyone is getting a sensible nightโ€™s sleep. Breakfast has become something beige served next to a pint. Your neck already hurts. Your boots contain approximately half of Derbyshire.

And somewhere at Catton Park, somebody is probably shouting โ€œSLAAAAAYER!โ€ despite Slayer not actually being on stage. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿบ

Welcome to Saturday 8th August at Bloodstock Open Air 2026.

Today weโ€™ve got four stages absolutely rammed with metal, signing sessions, community events, emerging bands, thrash legends, enormous breakdowns and enough potential clashes to make choosing your Saturday schedule feel like sitting an A-level in heavy metal.

So charge the phone, fill the water bottle, locate your mates and get ready.

Hereโ€™s The Riff Reportโ€™s full guide to Saturday at Bloodstock 2026!

๐Ÿฉท FIRST UP โ€” TODAY IS ABOUT MORE THAN THE MUSIC

One of Saturdayโ€™s most important moments takes place at 5pm, when the Bloodstock community comes together to celebrate the legacy of Sophie and Sylvia Lancaster.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink and gather outside the Sophie Lancaster Foundation stall, located to the left of the main stage, for a special community photo.

๐Ÿฉท Saturday 8th August
โฐ 5:00pm
๐Ÿ“ Sophie Lancaster Foundation stall
๐Ÿ‘š Wear pink
๐Ÿฉท #WeAreSophie

Bloodstock has always been more than bands playing loudly in a field.

Itโ€™s a community.

Itโ€™s thousands of people who might look completely different from the outside world but instantly recognise each other as part of the same tribe.

If youโ€™re at Catton Park today, get involved.

#WeAreSophie. ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿค˜

โฐ๐Ÿ”ฅ SATURDAY BLOODSTOCK STAGE TIMES

Right then.

This is the important bit.

Screenshot this section.

Save it.

Send it to your mates.

Then completely ignore the carefully constructed schedule when somebody says:

โ€œFancy another pint?โ€

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿบ

Hereโ€™s how Saturday is shaping up across Bloodstockโ€™s stages.

๐Ÿ”ฅ RONNIE JAMES DIO STAGE

The big one.

The Ronnie James Dio Stage brings another monstrous Saturday programme, building towards a brutally heavy headline performance from Slaughter To Prevail.

๐Ÿค˜ Saturday Running Order

10:45 โ€” Inhuman Nature

11:45 โ€” Imperial Age

12:45 โ€” The Scratch

13:50 โ€” Urne

14:55 โ€” Vended

16:05 โ€” Northlane

17:15 โ€” Nevermore

18:55 โ€” Bleed From Within

21:10 โ€” SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL โ€” HEADLINER

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Just look at that afternoon.

Vended โ†’ Northlane โ†’ Nevermore โ†’ Bleed From Within.

Thatโ€™s not festival scheduling.

Thatโ€™s an organised assault on your neck muscles.

๐Ÿ’ฅ VENDED โ€” 14:55

Saturday afternoon is going to get considerably more violent when Vended arrive.

The band have been building a fearsome reputation through relentless live performances, and Bloodstock feels like exactly the sort of environment where they can cause absolute carnage.

Expect pits.

Expect bouncing.

Expect crowd surfers.

Expect somebodyโ€™s shoe to disappear.

Standard Bloodstock behaviour, really.

๐Ÿค˜ NORTHLANE โ€” 16:05

At 4:05pm, Northlane take over the Ronnie James Dio Stage.

Their combination of crushing heaviness, atmospheric electronics and enormous modern metal production should sound absolutely colossal across Catton Park.

This is the sort of set where you start watching from a comfortable positionโ€ฆ

โ€ฆand suddenly realise youโ€™re surrounded by several hundred people bouncing simultaneously.

Congratulations.

Youโ€™re involved now. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ”ฅ

โš”๏ธ NEVERMORE โ€” 17:15

Then comes Nevermore at 5:15pm.

And yesโ€ฆ

Thatโ€™s only 15 minutes after the #WeAreSophie community photo begins at 5pm, so anyone wanting to do both will need to have their Saturday logistics sorted.

Festival legs engaged.

Go!

๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿค˜

๐Ÿ”ฅ BLEED FROM WITHIN โ€” 18:55

If youโ€™re looking for one of Saturdayโ€™s potential festival-stealing performances, Bleed From Within should be firmly highlighted.

The Scottish metal machine have become an absolute force.

Huge riffs.

Massive breakdowns.

Towering choruses.

And crowds that constantly look approximately three seconds away from declaring independence from health and safety.

Bloodstock feels tailor-made for them.

Expect carnage.

๐Ÿ’€ SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL โ€” 21:10

Then Saturdayโ€™s Ronnie James Dio Stage reaches maximum brutality.

At 9:10pm, Slaughter To Prevail take control.

If youโ€™ve somehow managed to preserve your neck until this pointโ€ฆ

Congratulations.

That was pointless.

Because Saturday night is about to get ridiculously heavy.

๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿฉท SOPHIE LANCASTER STAGE

Meanwhile, the Sophie Lancaster Stage is serving up another fantastic alternative Saturday programme.

๐Ÿค˜ Saturday Running Order

10:30 โ€” Froglord

11:20 โ€” Outer Gods

12:10 โ€” Imperium

13:10 โ€” Bound In Fear

14:20 โ€” Viking Skull

15:40 โ€” Celestial Sanctuary

17:00 โ€” Stampinโ€™ Ground

18:25 โ€” Death Angel

20:00 โ€” Sanguisugabogg

22:40 โ€” LEPROUS โ€” HEADLINER

From underground heaviness to thrash royalty and the progressive brilliance of Leprous, thereโ€™s loads happening here throughout the day.

โ˜ ๏ธ DEATH ANGEL โ€” 18:25

Old-school thrash.

Flying hair.

Flying beer.

Possibly flying humans.

Death Angel at Bloodstock.

Thatโ€™s really all you need to know. ๐Ÿค˜

The thrash legends hit the Sophie Lancaster Stage at 6:25pm, creating one of Saturdayโ€™s nastiest clashes because Bleed From Within start on the Ronnie James Dio Stage at 6:55pm.

Thirty minutes.

Can you do both?

Technically.

Will you be sprinting across Bloodstock like someone has announced free Greggs?

Also yes.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸฅŸ๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿ’€ SANGUISUGABOGG โ€” 20:00

At 8pm, things get filthy.

Sanguisugabogg bring their wonderfully disgusting brand of death metal to the Sophie Lancaster Stage.

Exactly the sort of band you want at Bloodstock.

Subtle?

Absolutely not.

Heavy?

Ohhhh yes.

๐ŸŽน LEPROUS โ€” 22:40

And Saturday doesnโ€™t end when the main stage finishes.

At 10:40pm, Leprous headline the Sophie Lancaster Stage.

That means anyone still functioning after Slaughter To Prevail can make their way across and finish Saturday with something completely different.

Progressive.

Atmospheric.

Musically enormous.

And hopefully enough remaining energy for one final Saturday session.

โš”๏ธ NEW BLOOD STAGE

Now listen carefully.

Do not ignore the New Blood Stage.

Every festival has that moment when somebody comes back saying:

โ€œMate, I just saw this band youโ€™ve never heard of and they were absolutely ridiculous.โ€

This is where those moments happen.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Saturday Running Order

10:30 โ€” Redscar

11:15 โ€” Vampyra

12:00 โ€” Imbrium

12:45 โ€” Apothis

13:30 โ€” Dead Bait

14:15 โ€” Chained Saint

15:00 โ€” Shadow Company

15:45 โ€” Inscape

16:30 โ€” Imperial Demonic

17:15 โ€” Withdrawn

18:00 โ€” Descendancy

18:45 โ€” Thrasherwolf

19:30 โ€” Lektagon

Thirteen bands.

One stage.

Potential future Bloodstock favourites everywhere.

This is grassroots metal doing what grassroots metal does best.

Get involved.

๐Ÿค˜ EMP STAGE

The EMP Stage brings another collection of bands to Saturday, giving you even more opportunities to completely ruin the timetable you carefully planned before arriving.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Saturday Running Order

14:30 โ€” Dรธsed

15:50 โ€” Troll Mother

17:05 โ€” Tempest Saint

18:40 โ€” Cancel The Transmission

20:15 โ€” Goat Major

Five more bands.

Five more reasons to wander over and investigate.

And five more opportunities to discover something completely unexpected.

๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ”ฅ SATURDAYโ€™S BIGGEST CLASHES

Right.

Here comes the horrible bit.

Festival clashes.

And Saturday has some absolute stinkers.

Around 5pm, youโ€™ve got:

๐Ÿฉท #WeAreSophie Community Photo โ€” 17:00

๐Ÿ”ฅ Stampinโ€™ Ground โ€” 17:00

๐Ÿค˜ Tempest Saint โ€” 17:05

โš”๏ธ Nevermore โ€” 17:15

๐Ÿ’€ Withdrawn โ€” 17:15

WHO MADE THIS TIMETABLE?!

๐Ÿ˜‚

Later things get even worse.

Youโ€™ve got:

โ˜ ๏ธ Death Angel โ€” 18:25

๐Ÿ”ฅ Cancel The Transmission โ€” 18:40

โš”๏ธ Thrasherwolf โ€” 18:45

๐Ÿ’ฅ Bleed From Within โ€” 18:55

Thatโ€™s not a festival clash.

Thatโ€™s psychological warfare against metalheads.

Choose wisely.

Or learn how to teleport.

โœ๏ธ SATURDAY SIGNING SESSIONS

Want to actually meet some of the bands youโ€™ve been watching?

Saturday also brings another packed collection of signing sessions.

Artists announced for Saturday include:

๐Ÿค˜ Inhuman Nature

๐Ÿ”ฅ Vended

โš”๏ธ Imperial Age

๐Ÿ’€ Nevermore

๐Ÿ€ The Scratch

๐Ÿ”ฅ Bleed From Within

๐Ÿค˜ Urne

๐Ÿ’ฅ Northlane

โ˜ ๏ธ Death Angel

Queues can build quickly for the bigger names, so donโ€™t casually wander over two minutes beforehand carrying six pints and expecting miracles.

Have whatever you want signed ready.

Be respectful.

Say hello.

Grab your signature.

And please donโ€™t unload your entire vinyl collection onto the table while 200 metalheads behind you slowly begin plotting your demise.

๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿค METAL AMNESTY

Metal Amnesty is also running today between:

โฐ 10am โ€“ 12pm

Itโ€™s another cracking little part of the Bloodstock community and another reminder that this festival isnโ€™t just about standing in front of stages.

One metalheadโ€™s unwanted treasure could become another metalheadโ€™s:

โ€œHOW THE HELL DID YOU FIND THAT?!โ€

moment.

๐Ÿค˜

๐Ÿ’ง DRINK SOME BLOODY WATER

Right.

Responsible Riff Report moment.

HYDRATE.

Yes, weโ€™re aware beer contains water.

No, weโ€™re not accepting that argument.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿบ

Bloodstock has free water available, so use it.

Keep sunscreen handy if the sun decides to attack Derbyshire.

Eat something.

Take occasional breaks.

Your festival survival checklist is basically:

Water. Food. Sunscreen. Riffs. Repeat.

Simple.

๐Ÿ” SATURDAY FESTIVAL FOOD

By Saturday, everyoneโ€™s normal eating habits have completely disappeared.

Breakfast?

Burger.

Lunch?

Loaded fries.

Dinner?

Something served in a cardboard tray that allegedly contains chicken.

Midnight?

โ€œAnyone got crisps?โ€

๐Ÿ˜‚

Your body cannot survive exclusively on lager, riffs and optimism.

Scientists have checked.

Probably.

So grab some food between bands.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ EXPLORE BLOODSTOCK

Saturday is also a brilliant opportunity to explore everything happening away from the main stages.

Check out the traders.

Buy some merch.

Talk to random metalheads.

Find ridiculous festival clothing.

Buy something you absolutely donโ€™t need.

Spend the next hour convincing yourself:

โ€œNah, mun, I definitely needed this.โ€

Thatโ€™s festival economics.

And while youโ€™re doing it, support the independent traders.

Theyโ€™re a massive part of what gives festivals like Bloodstock their personality.

๐Ÿค˜ THE RIFF REPORT SATURDAY CHALLENGE

Hereโ€™s todayโ€™s challenge.

Go and watch one band youโ€™ve never heard before.

No Spotify research.

No checking reviews.

No asking Reddit whether theyโ€™re any good.

Pick a stage.

Walk over.

Give them three songs.

Thatโ€™s it.

You might hate them.

You might discover your next favourite band.

But discovering new music while standing in a field surrounded by thousands of metalheads beats letting an algorithm decide what youโ€™re listening to next.

Every.

Single.

Time.

๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐Ÿฉท DONโ€™T FORGET โ€” 5PM TODAY

Weโ€™re saying it again because this matters.

At 5pm, head towards the Sophie Lancaster Foundation stall to the left of the main stage.

Wear pink.

Join the community photo.

Remember Sophie.

Remember Sylvia.

Stand together.

๐Ÿฉท #WeAreSophie

Metal has always been a home for outsiders.

A place where people who might feel different everywhere else can walk through the gates and suddenly realise:

These are my people.

Thatโ€™s something worth protecting.

๐ŸŒ™ SATURDAY NIGHT AT BLOODSTOCK

Eventually the sun disappears.

The stage lights get brighter.

The riffs somehow get louder.

Thousands of metalheads gather together.

And Bloodstock becomes that magical little heavy-metal universe that only exists for a few days every August.

Thereโ€™ll be sore feet.

Lost voices.

Questionable campsite decisions.

Missing tent pegs.

Mystery bruises.

And almost certainly somebody asleep in a camping chair while absolute musical Armageddon happens approximately ten metres away.

And weโ€™ll bloody love every second of it.

๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ”ฅ THE RIFF REPORT SATURDAY VERDICT

Saturday at Bloodstock 2026 is STACKED.

Across the Ronnie James Dio, Sophie Lancaster, New Blood and EMP stages, there are 37 bands demanding your attention.

Thirty-seven!

And thatโ€™s before signing sessions, Metal Amnesty, traders, food, community events and the inevitable two hours you lose because you bumped into someone you met at Download three years ago.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค˜

Whether youโ€™re chasing the biggest bands, collecting signatures, throwing yourself into the pit, supporting the underground or sitting on the grass with a pint watching the madness unfoldโ€ฆ

Make the most of it.

Because festivals feel like theyโ€™re going to last forever when youโ€™re standing in that field.

Then suddenly itโ€™s Monday.

Youโ€™re trying to dismantle a tent that somehow no longer fits inside the bag it came in.

Your bank account is crying.

Your legs have resigned.

Your voice sounds like Lemmy gargling gravel.

And somebody asks:

โ€œSame again next year?โ€

Of course.

Have an absolutely MASSIVE Saturday, Bloodstock!

Look after yourselves.

Look after each other.

Drink some water.

Support the bands.

Support the traders.

Discover something new.

Get involved with #WeAreSophie.

And most importantlyโ€ฆ

๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ”ฅ TURN IT UP, BUTT! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿค˜

Michael

Michael

๐ŸŽธ About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise โ€” it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publicationโ€™s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist โ€” sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
