Right then, somebody fetch the smelling salts and check whether our bank account is still breathing, because the Bring Me The Horizon collectors’ market has officially entered its supervillain era.
A copy of the limited Bring Me The Horizon Count Your Blessings | Repented “Outbreak” mastered CD has appeared for sale online with an asking price of a frankly outrageous £469.99.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Four hundred and sixty-nine pounds. Ninety-nine pence. For one CD.
It is numbered 473 out of 666, comes with its accompanying wristband, and features the blood-splattered presentation that makes it look like it was packaged backstage during a particularly violent breakdown.
Rare? Absolutely.
Cool? Very.
Worth nearly five hundred quid? Easy now, butt.
😈 A Proper Piece of Early BMTH History
There is no denying the appeal of anything connected to Bring Me The Horizon’s early years.
Count Your Blessings represents a completely different version of the Sheffield band to the global festival-headlining machine we know today. This was BMTH at their rawest, heaviest and most chaotic — all guttural vocals, frantic riffs, brutal breakdowns and hairstyles capable of blocking an entire venue’s fire exit.
For fans who were there during the MySpace era, or younger listeners who have since discovered the band’s deathcore beginnings, memorabilia connected to that period carries serious nostalgic weight.
The fact that this particular edition was limited to 666 copies only adds to the appeal.
Because nothing says “deathcore collector’s item” quite like deliberately limiting it to the number of the beast. Proper job. 😈
💸 But £469.99 Is Absolutely Wild
Limited music releases have always attracted collectors, and Bring Me The Horizon have one of the most dedicated fanbases in modern rock.
However, there comes a point where collecting turns into staring at a listing and quietly whispering:
“You want how much?”
At £469.99, this CD costs more than many festival weekend tickets. It is the sort of money that could buy you a decent guitar, a sizeable vinyl collection, several gig trips or enough Greggs sausage rolls to build a moderately concerning garden shed.
And this is not even a signed guitar, stage-worn jacket or handwritten lyric sheet.
It is a CD.
A very rare CD, admittedly — but still a shiny disc in a plastic sleeve that may spend the rest of its life sitting untouched on somebody’s shelf because they are terrified of lowering its resale value.
📈 Asking Price Does Not Always Mean Selling Price
It is worth remembering that an online listing price does not automatically represent the item’s true market value.
Sellers can ask whatever they like. Someone could list a half-eaten festival burger for £800 and describe it as “rare Slipknot-era memorabilia,” but that does not mean anybody is going to buy it.
The real test comes from completed sales.
Should several copies of this release start changing hands for £400 or more, then collectors may have genuinely established a new value for it. Until then, £469.99 remains an ambitious asking price rather than definitive proof that every copy is worth nearly half a grand.
Sometimes sellers are testing the market.
Sometimes they are hoping a devoted collector has just received a tax refund.
And sometimes the entire internet has collectively lost the plot.
🤘 Why BMTH Collectables Keep Rising
Bring Me The Horizon’s career has been one of the most dramatic evolutions in modern heavy music.
They have travelled from tiny venues and deathcore chaos to arena tours, major festival headline slots and a sound that now pulls influences from metalcore, electronic music, alternative rock, pop and industrial noise.
That journey has turned their earliest releases into historical artefacts for fans.
Original shirts, demos, promotional CDs, limited vinyl pressings and unusual event exclusives are becoming increasingly desirable because they represent a time before BMTH became one of Britain’s biggest rock exports.
The larger the band becomes, the more collectors want pieces from the beginning.
Unfortunately, that also means prices start climbing faster than Oli Sykes scaling a stage barrier.
🩸 Copy 473/666 — Does the Number Matter?
Collectors can be wonderfully particular creatures.
Some chase low numbers. Others want round numbers. Somebody out there probably wants copy 420, while another fan is inevitably hunting number 666 itself with the intensity of Indiana Jones searching for a cursed relic.
This particular copy is numbered 473/666, which may not have any special numerical significance, but it still confirms the item as part of the genuinely limited run.
The included wristband also helps complete the package. Collectors tend to value items more highly when all original extras are present, especially when those extras are easily lost, worn or thrown into the mysterious drawer where old gig tickets go to die.
🎟️ What Else Could £469.99 Buy?
For roughly the same amount, you could potentially fund a very respectable year of rock and metal chaos.
You could buy multiple concert tickets, travel to a festival, upgrade your camping gear, grab a stack of band merch and still have enough left over for an overpriced arena pint.
You could also purchase:
- 🎸 A decent second-hand guitar
- 💿 A mountain of standard CDs
- 📀 A healthy vinyl collection
- 🎟️ Several major gig tickets
- 🍺 An irresponsible quantity of festival lager
- 🥟 Enough Greggs to concern your GP
Or you could buy one numbered BMTH disc and spend the next decade guarding it like a dragon protecting treasure.
Choices, choices.
🔥 The Riff Report Verdict
This is undeniably a fascinating piece of Bring Me The Horizon memorabilia.
It is limited, visually distinctive, connected to one of the band’s most important early albums and complete with its wristband. For the right collector, it could be the missing centrepiece in an already impressive BMTH collection.
But £469.99 is still an absolutely massive asking price.
The item may eventually sell. Bring Me The Horizon fans are passionate, and rare memorabilia can command eye-watering money when the right buyer appears.
Still, from where we are sitting, this feels less like buying a CD and more like applying for a small music-related mortgage.
If you have one hidden in a cupboard, though, now might be a good time to check the number and stop using it as a coaster.
Your old deathcore memorabilia could apparently be worth more than your festival tent, your record player and most of your living-room furniture combined.
💬 WOULD YOU PAY £469.99 FOR IT?
Is this a genuinely valuable slice of BMTH history, or has the resale market gone completely off the rails?
Would you pay nearly £500 to own one of only 666 copies, or would you rather spend the money on gigs, festivals and enough merch to clothe a small Welsh village?
Let us know, because this is getting sillier by the minute, mun. 🤘🔥💿
