Pop-Punk Icons Announce Massive UK + EU Tour, Slam Dunk Headline Slot & Stylish New Collaboration With The Great Frog
Somewhere in Britain right now, a bloke in a faded studded belt just screamed “LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND THE FAMOUS!” loud enough to frighten a pigeon off a Greggs roof.
Because yes, butt… Good Charlotte are officially back in full arena-smashing mode. 😈🎸
The legendary Maryland pop-punk heroes have announced their huge Motel Du Cap EU + UK Tour for November 2026, bringing one of the biggest nostalgia-fuelled rock events of the year crashing across Europe and into the UK. And honestly? It feels like the alternative scene has just collectively plugged an amp back in after years of silence.
As if that wasn’t enough chaos for one week:
- They’re headlining Slam Dunk Festival
- Launching an exclusive collaboration with The Great Frog
- Touring with Yellowcard
- AND continuing one of the strongest comeback eras we’ve seen in modern alternative rock.
This isn’t just a reunion lap.
This is Good Charlotte reminding everyone why they became one of the defining bands of the early 2000s in the first place. 🔥
THE MOTEL DU CAP TOUR IS COMING TO THE UK 🇬🇧🔥
After smashing through sold-out arena dates across Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, Good Charlotte are now bringing the Motel Du Cap World Tour to Europe this November.
The run kicks off in Stockholm before stomping through:
- Germany 🇩🇪
- Belgium 🇧🇪
- The Netherlands 🇳🇱
- France 🇫🇷
- and finally the UK 🇬🇧
UK DATES
- Thursday 19th November – London, The O2
- Friday 20th November – Manchester, Co-op Live
And honestly? Manchester is going to be absolute carnage.
You already know there’ll be thousands of emos, pop-punk veterans, scene kids reborn as mortgage-paying adults, and lads in old-school DC shoes losing their minds the second the opening riff to The Anthem kicks in.
There are going to be tears.
There are going to be crowd surfers.
There are going to be people rediscovering muscles they haven’t used since Kerrang! Tour 2007.
And we are absolutely here for it. 🖤🍻
YELLOWCARD JOIN THE PARTY 🎻⚡
As if the nostalgia levels weren’t already dangerously high, Yellowcard are joining the tour as support.
Which means this entire tour is basically one giant emotional time machine.
You can practically hear:
“THERE’S A PLACE OFF OCEAN AVENUE…”
echoing across arenas already.
Honestly, putting Good Charlotte and Yellowcard on the same bill should probably come with free ibuprofen for anyone over 30.
SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL IS ABOUT TO ERUPT 🎪🤘
This weekend, Good Charlotte headline the main stage at Slam Dunk Festival, and it genuinely feels like one of the most fitting festival bookings in years.
Slam Dunk celebrating its 20th anniversary with Good Charlotte at the top of the bill just makes sense.
These are the bands that shaped alternative culture for an entire generation.
Back in the early 2000s:
- MTV2 ruled the television
- Kerrang! TV played videos all night
- Everyone wore black eyeliner in broad daylight
- Wallet chains were considered formal attire
- and Good Charlotte were absolutely everywhere.
Songs like:
- Girls & Boys
- The Anthem
- Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous
- Predictable
- Hold On
became more than just tracks — they became survival anthems for misfits, outsiders and weird kids everywhere.
And now, years later, those same fans are returning to festival fields with bad knees, expensive pints and the exact same emotional attachment to pop-punk choruses.

FIRST UK SHOWS SINCE 2019 😱
One of the biggest reasons these shows feel massive is because these will be the band’s first UK performances since 2019.
That’s a long time in music.
Entire trends have come and gone.
TikTok happened.
Nu metal came back somehow.
People started calling albums “content”.
But through all of that, Good Charlotte remained one of those bands fans never truly let go of.
Because their music was always about something bigger than trends.
It was about:
- not fitting in
- feeling lost
- growing up too fast
- mental health
- family struggles
- fighting for yourself
- and surviving chaos with a guitar in your hand.
And those themes still hit hard today.
THE GREAT FROG COLLAB IS RIDICULOUSLY COOL 💀💍
Now let’s talk about the fashion side of all this because Good Charlotte have also teamed up with legendary British jewellery house The Great Frog alongside Painted Flowers, the creative collective founded by Benji and Joel Madden with Tadaaki Wakamatsu.
And honestly? This might be one of the coolest alternative collaborations we’ve seen in ages.
The capsule collection includes:
- A handcrafted silver ring 💍
- A long sleeve shirt 👕
- A whole lot of gothic rock ’n’ roll energy
The collaboration blends:
- punk culture
- underground fashion
- tattoo aesthetics
- rock symbolism
- and alternative art influences
into one seriously stylish release.
It’s giving:
“I own rare vinyl and probably know a bloke who toured with AFI in 2004.”
Absolute scenes.
MOTEL DU CAP: THE ALBUM THAT REIGNITED EVERYTHING 🔥
Released last August, Motel Du Cap marked Good Charlotte’s first studio album in seven years.
And instead of sounding like a lazy nostalgia cash-in, the album absolutely ripped.
Written by:
- Joel Madden
- Benji Madden
- Mattias Bylund
and produced by:
- Zakk Cervini
- Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me The Horizon)
the record manages to balance classic Good Charlotte emotion with a fresher, more modern edge.
It’s nostalgic without sounding trapped in the past.
Tracks like:
- Rejects
- Stepper
- I Don’t Work Here Anymore
show a band reconnecting with who they are while still evolving creatively.
The riffs hit harder.
The lyrics cut deeper.
And the choruses still sound massive enough to scream in a festival field while holding a £12 beer in sideways rain.
GOOD CHARLOTTE STILL MATTER — AND THAT’S THE IMPORTANT PART 🖤
A lot of bands from the early 2000s faded away.
Some couldn’t evolve.
Some became nostalgia acts.
Some simply disappeared.
But Good Charlotte have always felt different because they never lost that emotional honesty underneath the hooks.
The Madden brothers built an empire out of vulnerability, rebellion and outsider culture.
That’s why their music still connects.
Because whether you first heard them:
- on Kerrang!
- on MTV
- burned onto a dodgy CD-R
- through MySpace
- or blasting from somebody’s battered Vauxhall Corsa outside a Tesco Extra…
those songs became part of people’s lives.
And now they’re bringing that energy back to massive arenas all over again.
FROM WALDORF TO WORLD DOMINATION 🌍🎸
It’s genuinely wild to look at what Good Charlotte have achieved over nearly three decades.
The band have:
- Sold over 11 million albums
- Earned over 2.3 billion streams
- Scored multiple Billboard hits
- Landed 7 RIAA certified releases
- Influenced an entire generation of alternative bands
Yet despite all that success, they’ve somehow kept that underdog spirit alive.
They still feel like a band for the weird kids.
And maybe that’s why this comeback feels so special.
RIFF REPORT FINAL VERDICT 🐉🔥
Good Charlotte returning to headline festivals, sell out arenas, launch killer collaborations and reconnect with fans after years away?
That’s not just a comeback story.
That’s alternative rock history doing another lap around the pit.
November is going to be sweaty, emotional and absolutely packed with singalongs.
And honestly?
We can’t bloody wait, mun. 🤘🔥
