Leave it to rock ’n’ roll to get taken out… by gardening.
Foo Fighters guitarist Pat Smear has reportedly suffered multiple broken bones following what can only be described as a properly bizarre gardening accident. Yep. Not a stage dive. Not a tour bus mishap. Not a rogue crowd-surfing incident. Gardening. 🌿
Somewhere, a wheelbarrow is lawyering up.
🌼 Rock Legends vs The Great Outdoors
Details are still a bit sketchy, but the incident is said to have happened while Pat was doing some wholesome, everyday garden graft. The sort of thing that sounds peaceful until nature decides to go full hardcore.
Multiple broken bones is no small thing, mind, but early reports suggest Pat is in good spirits. And let’s be honest, if anyone can stare down a hedge-related wipeout and come back smiling, it’s a man who’s survived punk rock chaos and decades of stadium-sized noise.
🎸 From Punk Roots to Stadium Riffs
This is Pat Smear we’re talking about. Punk royalty. Alternative rock lifer. A guitarist whose grin has become as iconic as the riffs he’s helped unleash across the world. From sweat-soaked clubs to fields rammed with flares, beer cups and chanting fans, Pat’s been there, smiling through it all.
Which somehow makes it even funnier that his latest injury didn’t come from a wall of amps… but possibly a slippery patio slab.
💐 Get Well Soon, You Absolute Legend
Everyone at The Riff Report is sending massive get-well-soon vibes to Pat. Heal up, take it easy, and maybe let the garden chill for a bit, yeah?
Let this be a warning, mun: gardening is officially more dangerous than rock ’n’ roll. 🌱😈
We’ll keep an eye on updates and report back when the man, the myth, the smiling riff machine is back on his feet. 🤘
