What’s occurring, rockers!? Grab your finest leather jacket, pour yourself a pint, and get ready to witness blues history being written in real time, mun — because Joe Bonamassa and Eric Clapton have only gone and teamed up for a collaboration that’s smoother than a fresh tub of Brylcreem and twice as electrifying. ⚡😎
This is no ordinary collab either. Oh no, butt… this is part of the massive upcoming tribute album B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, honouring what would’ve been the blues legend’s 100th year. Proper emotional, proper iconic, proper tidy. 🎤👑
🎶 A MEETING OF BLUES TITANS
Let’s be honest — when Bonamassa and Clapton plug in their guitars at the same time, angels probably get noise complaints. These two aren’t just guitarists; they’re blues royalty, torch-bearers of the craft, and players with tone so sweet it could give you toothache. 🦷🎸🔥
Expect:
- 🎸 Glorious, buttery guitar licks
- 🎙️ Soul-drenched vocals hitting you right in the ribcage
- ⚡ A tone-off that could restart the national grid
- 🕶️ Enough swagger to make a mosh pit bow politely
If this is the energy we’re getting for B.B.’s centenary album, then we’re in for an absolute belter, mun.
💿 ABOUT B.B. KING’S BLUES SUMMIT 100
The album is shaping up to be a who’s-who of blues legends, young guns, and gear obsessives all lining up to salute the King himself. B.B. King didn’t just influence the blues — he rewrote the book, burned the old one, then played a solo over the ashes.
This record is set to celebrate that legacy with:
- 🔥 Monster collaborations
- 🎼 Fresh interpretations of classic blues anthems
- 🤘 Plenty of Lucille-approved shredding
- 👑 An emotional, respectful tribute to the King
Only in Wales, mun… would news like this make you want to kick your front door open and yell “YESS MUN!” to the valley skies.
🎤 WHY THIS COLLAB MATTERS
Bonamassa is one of the modern blues greats; Clapton is, quite literally, the blueprint. Together, they bridge decades of guitar storytelling — a tribute that B.B. King himself would’ve nodded at with that grin he did before unleashing another spine-shiver of a solo.
This collab isn’t just cool.
It’s not even just special.
It’s a straight-up blues event, the kind we’ll be talking about in pubs long after the next pint’s pulled.
🤘 FINAL RIFF
Buckle up, turn your amp to “likely illegal,” and get ready for one of the tastiest blues releases of the decade. Bonamassa + Clapton + B.B. King’s legacy = absolute magic.
More updates coming soon, butt — keep your eyes on The Riff Report for the next sonic shockwave. 🎸🔥🏴
