Move over Peart, Portnoy, and Grohl — there’s a new stick-swinging savage in town, and he’s smashing the algorithm and your eardrums. Meet El Estepario Siberiano, the Spanish drum wizard who’s turned rhythm into religion and YouTube into his personal Wembley Arena. 🤘
🎤 WHO IS EL ESTEPARIO SIBERIANO?
Born Jorge Garrido in Valencia, Spain (around July 1996), this guy started pounding the skins at age 12 — and never looked back. While most kids were still figuring out how to hold a drumstick without poking their eye out, Jorge was already laying the groundwork to become the internet’s loudest export since Rick Astley’s comeback meme. 😅
El Estepario (which roughly translates to “The Siberian Lone Wolf”) has built an empire one video at a time — a mix of covers, tutorials, jokes, and jaw-dropping technical showcases. With millions of subscribers and billions of views across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, he’s not just a drummer — he’s a movement.
⚡ CAREER HIGHLIGHTS – THE RISE OF A RHYTHM KING
- 🥁 Joined the legendary Spanish metal band Saratoga as their drummer from 2020–2023, proving he’s more than just a YouTube hero.
- 🎬 Built a global online following, uploading covers ranging from Slipknot to Britney Spears — and somehow made both sound metal as hell.
- 💥 Recently launched his own project The Cost, showing he’s got original tunes as well as god-tier chops.
- 🥇 Endorsed by Varus Drums, complete with a signature snare that’s as crisp as a winter morning in the Valleys.
- 🎯 Now touring, collaborating, and basically living every bedroom drummer’s dream life — without selling his soul to pop radio.
🧠 THE MIND BEHIND THE MADNESS
What’s truly lush about El Estepario isn’t just his technical skill — it’s his philosophy.
He’s open about using drumming as a form of mental health therapy. Every practice session, every upload, was his way of finding purpose and peace. His mantra?
“I don’t have a goal. I look for joy on my path.”
That’s proper stuff, mun. He’s not chasing fame — he’s chasing fulfilment (and maybe the perfect snare tone).
He also talks honestly about the pressures of being a content creator, how social media can be both empowering and toxic, and how he uses it as a tool, not a trap. That’s a tidy mindset right there.
🔥 WHY HIS DRUMMING IS NEXT-LEVEL
Let’s be real — there are loads of technically great drummers. But El Estepario hits different.
- Speed and precision – He’s basically a human drum machine, but with soul. His blast beats are laser-sharp, his fills are flawless, and his timing’s tighter than your jeans after festival weekend.
- Minimalist setup, maximum chaos – He doesn’t rely on 20 toms and six gongs. His kit’s small, clean, and efficient — it’s what he does with it that’s monstrous.
- Groove and feel – He can groove with the pocket kings and rip alongside the prog nerds. That’s rare, butt.
- Showmanship – The hair. The camera angles. The smirk. Every video feels like front-row at a gig — with the added bonus of seeing his double-kick footwork up close.
- Consistency – No off days. Every upload is perfectly mixed, filmed, and executed. Dude’s professionalism is off the charts.
🧰 GEAR NERDS, ASSEMBLE!
- Drums: Varus Custom Kit (with signature snare)
- Pedals: Double bass, lightning-fast
- Cymbals: Precision-tuned for clarity and attack
- Setup: Compact but versatile — built for speed and soul, not just spectacle
He’s living proof that it’s not about how big your kit is, but how dirty you can make it sound. 😉
📣 THE INTERNET CAN’T GET ENOUGH
Reddit threads, Modern Drummer features, and endless fan tributes all say the same thing:
“El Estepario Siberiano might be the best drummer alive right now.”
And it’s not just the fans — pro drummers are paying attention too. His YouTube channel has become required viewing for anyone trying to make a living online as a musician.
He’s showing that you don’t need a record label or a massive tour to change the game — just talent, discipline, and Wi-Fi that doesn’t lag.
