Celebrating 25 Years of The Sickness
CโMON BUTT! The rumours are true โ Disturbed are storming back to the UK & Ireland this October, and theyโre not coming alone. Nope, theyโve called in the thrash legends Megadeth for a co-headline smash thatโs guaranteed to rattle your fillings and have arenas bouncing like a Valleys rugby club dancefloor on payday. ๐ด๐ธ
And hereโs the kicker: Disturbed arenโt just playing a few greatest hits and calling it a night โ theyโre doing The Sickness in full for its 25th anniversary, then coming back for a second set stacked with all the bangers. Two shows in one. Double the riffs, double the sweat, double the reason to lose your voice screaming OO-WA-AH-AH-AH-AH! ๐คฏ
The UK & Ireland Tour Dates ๐
- Mon 20 Oct โ Birmingham, Utilita Arena
- Wed 22 Oct โ Dublin, 3Arena
- Fri 24 Oct โ Manchester, AO Arena
- Sun 26 Oct โ London, The O2
- Tue 28 Oct โ Glasgow, OVO Hydro
Megadeth are locked in for all dates, ready to shred through decades of thrash warfare before Disturbed take the stage. Proper job!
What To Expect ๐ถ
Disturbedโs debut The Sickness hit like a sledgehammer back in 2000 โ packed with anthems like Down With The Sickness, Stupify, and Voices. Theyโll be tearing through the whole thing, front to back, giving fans a chance to relive that nu-metal explosion that took over bedrooms, bus rides, and dodgy Walkmans across the UK.
Then, after a breather (and maybe a pint or three), theyโll be back with a second set of greatest hits. You can bet your last Greggs sausage roll weโll get Stricken, Inside The Fire, Indestructible, and their massive Simon & Garfunkel cover The Sound of Silence.
And before that? Megadeth. The thrash titans are bringing the riffs, the snarls, and the shredding thatโs defined metal since the โ80s. Expect Symphony of Destruction, Hangar 18, and Peace Sells to set arenas ablaze. If youโve never seen Dave Mustaineโs hair windmill in real time, nowโs your chance. ๐๐ฅ
Tickets ๐๏ธ
Tickets are already on sale via the venues โ Birmingham, Dublin, Manchester, London, Glasgow โ so donโt snooze, mun. These shows are going to fly quicker than a pint in the middle of a mosh pit.
The Riff Report Verdict ๐ด
Disturbed and Megadeth on the same bill? Celebrating a classic album while battering arenas with two sets? Thatโs not a tour, thatโs a bloody metal feast.
Weโll see you in the pit, throats shredded, fists in the air, and voices cracking on every โOO-WA-AH-AH-AH-AH.โ
Diolch, Disturbed โ this is going to be lush. ๐ค๐ฅ
