Who are they?
Formed in Sydney, Australia in 2004, Wolfmother are a hard rock powerhouse led by the wild-haired riff lord Andrew Stockdale. Known for their fuzz-drenched guitars, retro swagger, and Sabbath-meets-Zeppelin energy, they stormed the mid-2000s rock revival and have been howling ever since.
⚡ The Sound
Wolfmother’s music is a thunderous cocktail of heavy psych, stoner rock, and classic hard rock.
- 🎸 Fuzzy, vintage riffs – Stockdale’s guitar tone could flatten mountains.
- 🎤 Falsetto wails – often compared to Robert Plant or Ozzy.
- 🥁 Pounding rhythms – pure headbang fuel.
- 🎶 Psychedelic grooves – swirling organ, trippy jams, and cosmic vibes.
Think Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Blue Cheer all crammed into a Marshall stack and blasted into the 21st century.
