A farewell fit for the Prince of Darkness – August 7–10 at Catton Park
There are moments in metal where the volume drops… and all that’s left is silence. This August at Bloodstock Festival 2025, that silence will speak louder than any Marshall stack.
Because this year, Ozzy won’t be on stage.
He won’t be stumbling out in a black cloak, arms wide, screaming “Let me see your hands!”
He won’t be laughing, shouting for Sharon, or biting the head off anything.
Instead, he’ll be there in spirit — in memories, in tears, in stories whispered between sets and scribbled on a wall that now stands as a monument to the man who was metal. 🖤
🧱 The Wall of Farewell
Bloodstock has confirmed it will feature a 17-metre tribute wall beside the main stage — a space for fans to say goodbye, to write a message, a thank you, a final “We love you, Ozzy.”
It’s not just a wall.
It’s a cathedral of ink and grief.
A place for a community to mourn together — loudly, proudly, and with all the raw emotion that Ozzy poured into every scream, every stagger, every Sabbath riff.
You’ll see hearts scrawled in eyeliner.
Lyrics written in shaky hands.
A thousand voices saying Diolch, Thanks, We’ll never forget. 💬
🖤 The Prince of Darkness Deserved a Kingdom
Ozzy wasn’t just a man. He was a movement.
He gave us Black Sabbath, the blueprints for doom and darkness.
He gave us solo chaos, wild tours, and that unmistakable howl that came from somewhere beyond the mortal.
He gave us The Osbournes, for better or worse.
He gave us himself — vulnerable, messy, magnificent.
And now, Bloodstock is giving us a chance to give something back.
A wall. A moment. A pause in the madness.
🌧️ Grief in the Mosh Pit
They say Bloodstock is about the riffs, the roars, the fire and fury.
But this year, it’ll be about the stillness too.
The quiet in between sets where someone will stand alone by that wall and remember the first time they heard Paranoid.
The couple who fell in love to No More Tears.
The kid whose first patch was Ozzy’s face.
The tattoo that says Crazy Train across a scar.
And behind it all, the sky above Catton Park, hopefully crying with us. ☁️
🕯️ Other Tributes to Come
Festival organisers have hinted that this wall won’t be the only moment dedicated to Ozzy.
We don’t know yet what they have planned — but if it’s anything like the community we’ve built, it’ll be loud, moving, and unforgettable.
Maybe it’ll be a midnight singalong of “Mama I’m Coming Home.”
Maybe a sea of lighters in the night air.
Maybe just… people holding each other when the weight hits.
Whatever it is, it’ll hurt. And it’ll heal. And it’ll be Ozzy.

💬 A Final Word
So if you’re going to Bloodstock this year, bring a pen.
Bring your favourite Ozzy shirt.
Bring your tears, your stories, your grief, and your gratitude.
And when you stand before that wall — take a deep breath, look to the sky, and say it one last time:
“Scream for me, Bloodstock… because Ozzy would’ve wanted it loud.”
Rest in power, legend.
We’ll never stop listening. 🖤🕶️🦇
