INTRO: THE RETURN OF THE KING OF HEARTBREAK 😭👑
Let’s not beat around the bush: Lewis Capaldi’s Glastonbury 2025 set was one for the bloody books. You had people crying in bucket hats, couples proposing mid-ballad, and blokes from Barry shouting, “I’M NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING!”
Now, in the wake of that emotional tidal wave, Scotland’s finest export since Irn-Bru and deep-fried Mars bars has announced something massive – a full-blown UK arena tour, kicking off this autumn. And yes, butt… Cardiff’s on the map.
📍 Where? Utilita Arena Cardiff
📅 When? Friday, September 27, 2025
🎫 Why? Because we need to FEEL things again.
THE GLASTONBURY COMEBACK THAT SHUT EVERYONE UP 🔥
Let’s rewind for a sec. Just last year, Lewis had pulled out of all tour dates due to ongoing issues with his Tourette’s and mental health, choosing to take a step back from the spotlight. And we all said, “Take your time, Lew – we’ll be here when you’re ready.”
Fast forward to Sunday night at Glastonbury 2025, and Capaldi walks on stage with nothing but a mic, a smile, and a heart full of emotion – and the crowd? They LOST IT. People were singing along so loudly you could hear it all the way in Pilton village.
New track “Survive” debuted mid-set, and the emotional weight of it hit like a freight train made of heartbreak and piano chords. But Capaldi wasn’t just there to cry – oh no. He also had everyone in stitches with his classic banter:
“I tried to write a happy song once, but it turned into a song about a dog dying in a thunderstorm. So… here’s ‘Before You Go’.”
CARDIFF – A CITY READY FOR CHAOS & CATHARSIS 🎶🐉
Let’s be honest – Cardiff LOVES Lewis Capaldi.
We’re a city that thrives on emotion. We go from ‘I love you, butt’ to ‘I was tamping!’ in a heartbeat. And Capaldi? He fits right in. His last gig in Cardiff sold out faster than you can say “double vodka Coke at Popworld.” And now, he’s coming back, baby.
The Utilita Arena Cardiff is set to become ground zero for an emotional exorcism of the highest order. 7,000 fans, all howling lyrics about heartbreak, laughter, and awkward DMs gone wrong – it’s going to be messy in the most beautiful way.
SETLIST TEASE – WHAT TO EXPECT 🔥
Now, Lewis being Lewis, he’ll probably keep things semi-chaotic on stage – but we’ve got a fair idea of what the crowd might get on the night:
💿 NEW ERA ANTHEMS
- “Survive” – His Glasto debut track. Emotional devastation in under four minutes.
- A few rumoured new ones from an upcoming album (title TBA, but we’re calling it “Songs To Cry To In The Lidl Car Park”)
📈 CHART-TOPPING CLASSICS
- Someone You Loved – Bring tissues. Buckets of them.
- Before You Go – Still hurts, still heavenly.
- Bruises – That song where your ex pops into your head and ruins your week.
- Forget Me – Sassy. Sad. Iconic.
😂 STAGE BANTER GOLD
You’re not just there for the music – you’re also there for stuff like:
“I wrote this next one after a breakup. She left me because I ate too much cheese. Fair play really – I was sweating cheddar at one point.”
FAN BUZZ: “HE’S ONE OF US, MUN!” 🫶
If there’s one thing that unites rockers, popheads, indie kids, and rugby lads alike, it’s Lewis Capaldi. He’s real. He’s awkward. He’s funny. And he sings like his vocal cords were dipped in pain and rolled in honey.
Here’s what fans have been saying since the Glasto gig and tour news:
🗣️ “He had me sobbing into my glittery cowboy hat. Can’t wait for Cardiff. Bring on the ugly crying.”
🗣️ “Cardiff’s going to be a riot. Already got the night off and the bottle of rosé ready.”
🗣️ “Saw him in 2019 – it was like therapy, karaoke, and stand-up comedy all rolled into one.”
WHY THIS TOUR MATTERS MORE THAN EVER 🌈
Let’s get a bit real for a second. This isn’t just a tour. It’s a comeback – and not the shiny, corporate kind. It’s a raw, vulnerable, human kind of return. Lewis took time off because he had to. Because touring, fame, and pressure were too much. And instead of hiding, he told the world what was happening.
Now, after taking care of his health and working at his own pace, he’s stepping back into the spotlight – on his terms. That takes guts, mun.
This tour is a love letter to fans. A statement of survival. A celebration of chaos and catharsis. And it deserves every bloody standing ovation it gets.

LEWIS + WALES = MATCH MADE IN EMO HEAVEN 💔🏴
Let’s be honest – there’s something magic about Capaldi playing Wales. We’re a nation of feelers. Of storytellers. Of belters. And he’s one of us, really.
The banter? On point. The vulnerability? Relatable. The voice? Straight from the heavens via Paisley.
We don’t just want Lewis – we need him. In these weird, wild, post-lockdown, mid-crisis times, a night of full-blown emotional therapy led by a self-deprecating Scottish angel is exactly what the doctor ordered.
