Swansea Pride 2025 lit up the city on Saturday, May 3rd, turning the streets into a sea of colour and celebration. The action centred around Castle Square, Wind Street, and the Waterfront, transforming Swansea into the glittering capital of Pride in Wales for one magical day.
🎉 The Parade – Love on the Move
This year’s Pride Parade was the biggest in Swansea’s history! Thousands of attendees danced, marched, and rolled through the city, led by the loud beats of local samba bands and a roaring chorus of cheers from onlookers. Highlights included:

A troupe of drag queens riding mobility scooters decked in feathers and fairy lights 🛴💄

🎤 Main Stage Mayhem – Performances That Brought the House Down
The Castle Square Main Stage delivered showstoppers from noon ‘til sundown, hosted by the ever-fabulous Miss Kitty von Vroom and Drag King Bryn the Bold.

🎶 Sian James & The Firebirds – a Welsh folk-pop band who mixed tradition with rebellion
🎤 Non Binary Bangers – a Cardiff-based rap collective making serious waves
💃 Viva la Drag! – a 12-strong drag troupe from across Wales who literally set the stage on fire (with pyrotechnics, dw!)
🎸 Rebel Hearts – crowd favourites with their anthem “Pride or Die” causing a full-blown pit of love and chaos
There was even a surprise duet between a RuPaul’s Drag Race UK finalist and a local school choir – and yes, it absolutely slayed. 🔥

Swansea Pride 2025 was more than an event – it was a movement wrapped in joy. From heartfelt stories to loud-and-proud performances, the message rang clear:

With record attendance, improved accessibility, and a sense of togetherness you could feel in your bones, this year was a massive “Tidy!” from the whole community.
