If your October calendar was looking a little too sensible, The Karma Effect have just sorted that right out. 🤘🔥

The British rockers are getting ready to take their Cruel Intentions album out on the road, with the first leg of the tour kicking off on Wednesday 7 October 2026 at The Palais in Nottingham.

And they’re not heading into battle alone either.

The Karma Effect will be hitting the road supporting The Quireboys, which means we’re staring down the barrel of a cracking run of proper British rock ’n’ roll nights packed with guitars, swagger, big choruses and enough attitude to make your local venue’s roof consider handing in its notice.

October just got considerably louder, mun. 🎸💥

🌹 The ‘Cruel Intentions’ Era Hits The Road

The Karma Effect have been steadily building themselves a reputation as one of the exciting names bubbling away in the modern British rock scene, combining the swagger and soul of classic rock with a punchier contemporary edge.

Now it’s time to take Cruel Intentions where rock albums truly belong:

Onstage. Loud. Sweaty. In front of a room full of people.

The band confirmed the upcoming run with a simple message:

“The FIRST LEG of our Cruel Intentions album tour KICKS OFF on 7th October in Nottingham supporting The Quireboys.”

They also asked:

“Who’s ready to see us this October?”

Us.

The answer is us. 🤘

⚡ The Karma Effect – October 2026 Tour Dates

Here’s the first announced run:

Wednesday 7 October
📍 The Palais — Nottingham

Thursday 8 October
📍 The Tivoli — Buckley

Friday 9 October
📍 Classic Grand — Glasgow

Saturday 10 October
📍 Venue 23 — Wakefield

Sunday 11 October
📍 Yardbirds — Grimsby

Thursday 15 October
📍 King Street Social Club — North Shields

Friday 16 October
📍 KK’s Steel Mill — Wolverhampton

Saturday 17 October
📍 Engine Rooms — Southampton

Sunday 18 October
📍 The Garage — London

Nine dates. Nine opportunities for ringing ears.

Proper job. 🔥

🐉 Buckley Gets A Dose Of Rock ’N’ Roll

Naturally, our Welsh radar immediately started flashing when we spotted The Tivoli in Buckley sitting there on the itinerary.

The Karma Effect roll into North Wales on Thursday 8 October, just one night after the tour kicks off in Nottingham.

The Tivoli has seen more than its fair share of rock and metal carnage over the years, so chucking The Karma Effect and The Quireboys into the equation sounds like a particularly tidy way to spend an October Thursday night.

Wales + loud guitars = we’re interested. 🐉🤘

🎩 Supporting The Quireboys

And what a band to be heading around the country with.

The Quireboys have spent decades flying the flag for gloriously scruffy, blues-soaked British rock ’n’ roll.

Their combination of huge choruses, bluesy guitars, bar-room swagger and old-school rock attitude has made them an enduring part of the UK scene.

Putting The Karma Effect alongside them makes plenty of sense.

You’ve got generations of British rock colliding on the same bill, with The Karma Effect getting the opportunity to put themselves in front of audiences around the country.

And if you’ve ever seen The Quireboys live, you’ll know these aren’t usually quiet little evenings where everybody politely folds their coat over the back of a chair.

Expect singing.

Expect dancing.

Expect pints being held dangerously above people’s heads.

And expect at least one bloke near the front who looks like he’s been following rock bands around Britain since 1987.

We salute you, mysterious rock bloke. 🍺🤘

🔥 A Big Autumn For The Karma Effect

Calling this the “first leg” is particularly interesting.

Those two words suggest there could be considerably more activity surrounding the Cruel Intentions tour beyond these initial October dates.

For now, though, the band have a cracking stretch of shows ahead of them, running from Nottingham through Buckley, Glasgow, Wakefield and Grimsby before firing back into action with North Shields, Wolverhampton, Southampton and finally London.

That closing night at The Garage on Sunday 18 October should be an absolute belter.

By that stage everyone involved will have spent nearly two weeks living on service-station coffee, questionable meal deals, adrenaline and whatever remains of their hearing.

Rock ’n’ roll, baby. 😂🎸

🤘 The Riff Report Says…

This has all the ingredients for a cracking autumn tour.

A rising British rock band pushing a new album.

A legendary name in UK rock ’n’ roll topping the bill.

Nine venues across England, Scotland and Wales.

And enough riffs to make October feel considerably warmer than the weather probably will.

The Karma Effect clearly aren’t planning on letting Cruel Intentions sit quietly on the shelf.

They’re taking it directly to the people.

So dig out the battle jacket, check the train times, warn your ears and get yourself down the front.

The Karma Effect are coming.

The Quireboys are waiting.

And the first leg of the Cruel Intentions album tour kicks off in Nottingham on 7 October 2026.

See you somewhere near the barrier, butt. 🤘🔥🐉

🎸 THE RIFF REPORT

Proudly Welsh. Proudly Loud. Zero Apologies.

Which date are you heading to? Nottingham? Buckley? Glasgow? Wolverhampton? London? Drop your choice and let the rock ’n’ roll congregation know. 🤘

Michael

Michael

🎸 About Michael Michael is the founder, editor and chief riff wrangler of The Riff Report, an independent Welsh rock, metal and alternative music publication built by fans, for fans. A lifelong rock and metal fan, Michael has spent years immersed in the music, culture and community that surround the heavier side of life. From discovering new bands and digging through classic albums to standing in muddy festival fields, squeezing into packed venues and spending far too much time near the front of a stage, music has always been much more than background noise — it is a massive part of who he is. That passion eventually became The Riff Report, a publication created to celebrate the bands, artists, venues, festivals, photographers, promoters and fans who keep the rock and metal world turning. Michael spends much of the year covering gigs, festivals, tours, album releases, new singles, interviews and music news, with a camera never too far away and a press pass usually hanging somewhere around his neck. Whether it is a huge arena show, a major outdoor festival or a tiny grassroots venue packed with people discovering their new favourite band, he believes every part of the scene has stories worth telling. For Michael, one of the biggest joys of music journalism is being able to shine a light on artists at every level. The Riff Report is just as interested in the hungry independent band playing to 50 people as it is in the global act headlining to 50,000. Supporting unsigned, independent and grassroots musicians is a huge part of the publication’s identity, because every legendary band started somewhere. Sometimes the next big thing is not on a massive billboard or a major-label playlist — sometimes they are crammed onto a tiny stage in a pub, plugging in their own gear and hoping somebody in the room remembers their name. Michael wants The Riff Report to be one of the places that remembers.
